A Good Snooze in Vaduz
I was lodged at Landhaus am Giessen for two consecutive nights in October 2021 as part of a larger trip to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The relatively high ranking of the hotel on TripAdvisor and the location of the hotel in Vaduz were the main reasons for me selecting this lodging.
Making a reservation was a simple and straightforward process. Using the hotel's official website, I selected my preferred room type (Doppelzimmer Queen-Size with Breakfast) and dates of stay. After entering the details of my credit card to secure my reservation, I was immediately e-mailed a reservation voucher, which I eventually printed and brought with me when I departed for Vaduz.
When I arrived at Sargans by train from Zurich, a transfer by bus from Sargans to Vaduz Spital bus stop was free and took about 40 minutes, with an additional walk from the bus stop to the hotel taking about 5 minutes.
At the hotel, the check-in was a process that I had never before encountered in all of my past travels. Instead of a live receptionist, a computer on the reservation desk encouraged me to follow on-screen prompts in order to check in. After a few minutes of confirming my reservation, providing some personal information, and paying the full amount of my planned stay, I received my room key card.
The bedroom of my room (#150) featured a twin-size bed with one large pillow and sheets and comforter of excellent quality. A nightstand with lamp, a writing desk with chair and lamp, a padded stool, an armoire with security safe, and a flat screen television with satellite were also present. In-suite amenities included air conditioning and strong wi-fi. An outdoor balcony, just off the bedroom, featured a view of neighboring buildings in the foreground and Schloss Vaduz in the distance.
The bathroom featured a full-size shower with a hand wand shower head, ample hot water, and large and clean towels and washcloths. Amenities in the bathroom included a small selection of toiletries. European (round-prong) power outlets were located in the bathroom and bedroom.
In the mornings, breakfast (included in my rate) was buffet-style and consisted of hard-boiled eggs, various sliced meats and cheeses, various flavors of yogurt, dried fruit, breads and spreads, dry cereals, juice, tea, and coffee. The breakfast was filling and the service was excellent each morning during my stay.
As mentioned in the first paragraph of this review, the location of the hotel in Vaduz was one of the main reasons for me choosing Landhaus am Giessen for my time in the city. All of the major tourist attractions, as well numerous restaurants, were very easy walks from the hotel.
For two consecutive nights at Landhaus am Giessen, I paid a total of 227 Swiss francs. Upon completion of my stay, the walk back to the Vaduz Spital bus stop from the hotel took just a few minutes, with a subsequent journey by bus from the bus stop to Sargans being free, and the train from Sargans to Zurich costing 33 Swiss francs and taking a little less than one hour.
For a future trip to Vaduz, I would have no problem selecting Landhaus am Giessen again for my lodging, and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Vaduz for business, leisure, or tourism.

Quiet and clean
Stayed here 2 nights last weekend. There were a few issues checking in at the machine at first, but then it all worked out just fine.
My room was on the first floor, had a balcony with a very nice view. I was also lucky to have had very beautiful sunny days. The room was very clean and the place was really quiet at night, which is the way I like it. The room has a TV with a lot of international channels in various languages and you get free sparkling water.
The reception closes at 9pm so there isn't anyone around until the next morning.
Breakfast was good, they had nutella, so that was all I needed.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms
This hotel is warm and comfortable, perfect for a short stay. Balcony had a lovely view of the castle as well. The staff were FANTASTIC. So kind and helpful when I had to stay a little longer for a work meeting. They were helpful, friendly and considerate - just cannot speak highly enough of them.
Thanks so much!

Rundum zufrieden
Eine sehr nette Bedienung, super Morgenbuffet. Guter Tipp zum Essen (Pedroni in Triesen). Zuvorkommend, indem man den Wanderlunch vom Morgenbuffet zusammenstellen konnte. Modernes und elektronisches Einchecken möglich. Zimmer sehr sauber, Wasser bereitgestellt. Lift und Zugang mittels Batch.
I’m sorry, but this was awful
I arrived at this hotel on a Sunday at about 4pm. The reception was unattended all day so I had to “self check-in” via a computer. When I went to the allocated room a window was open. When it got dark a few hours later I put on the light and closed the window. I was alarmed to notice a little later that there were hundreds of mosquitoes, midges and other flying insects around the top of the walls and ceiling. I started killing them but there were so many it was impossible to eradicate them. Many of them were on the light and on the bedding. I couldn’t contact anyone because there was no-one on reception. Eventually after a long period of trying to kill the insects manually I went to bed, but was unable to sleep as the insects were still there even crawling on to my face as I tried to sleep. The next day there was someone on reception so I reported what had happened and asked for a refund which was refused. In the circumstances I cannot recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Excellent Hotel - 15 Minute Walk From The Centre of Vaduz
I stayed here for one night only. I was in Vaduz to watch football at the Rheinpark Stadium - FC Vaduz v FC Winterthur.
I caught a train to the border town of Sevelen from where I walked to Vaduz over the old wooden bridge which is near the road bride. It took me about 45 minutes. The hotel is near both brides along Zollstrasse.
The hotel is very good. Very picturesque from the front. The staff were helpful and friendly. My room was excellent. Good size with all amenities. A bottle of water was free.
I enjoyed the breakfast. There was enough choice for me. The centre of Vaduz isn't far away at all. It took me 10 to 15 minute stroll to get to the pedestrianised zone.
The Football stadium is about a 30 minutes away. But, again its a nice easy walk. I enjoyed my visit to the lovely town in Liechtenstein. I would recommend this hotel to any visitor.
