After dealing with Gertsberg Licata I felt as though others will benefit from knowledge from my extremely poor experience. I reached out for a workplace dispute as they have a specialed attorney (Mr Lorenzon) for my profession. I had to pay a $500 consultation fee for him to get started. His only options for consultations are at 8 pm due to the fact that he wears too many other hats and literally has no time to actually be an attorney. My $500 phone consultation consisted of him putting me on speaker phone during his drive home in which I was not given full attention and I could hear traffic noise and his car blinkers going off in the background. Also spent the entire time just telling me where to apply for jobs and how his daughter is going to be flying for Delta....I called to get a consultation to fix a workplace record dispute not to get job hunting career advice. He asked me for things that weren't relevant to the situation just to fill in the expected 30 min consultation time. After he reviewed my documents he seemed to not really evaluate the case, had no strategy to move forward, and it didn't sound like he would even be fighting to get my record fixed. Within the email I was told it would now cost me $5,000 to get started. I wrote back asking if we could start with a demand letter so I didn't have to pay the $5,000 retainer right away in which Jason was too busy to respond so Mr Licata responded. He told me if I wasn't willing to pay the $5,000 then seek legal advice elsewhere. This place gave me zero affirmations that I would be represented properly and basically had zero strategy yet wanted thousands of dollars up front. After reading other reviews I'm glad I didn't pay the retainer. I highly recommend to seek legal advice elsewhere.
