They hurt!! They hurt while on, just really uncomfortable if the edge of one of the frownies is across a face muscle and you move, ow! It's like a paper cut! To take it off is even worse! Getting a facial wax is easier and hurts way less. Scar tape works better and is so much softer.
Second time purchasing - YIKES
This is my second time purchasing Frownies. Once I ran out, I ordered another box. To be fair, my first box was from a couple of years ago, and I had just forgotten about them. The first set was fine - worked well. This second set smelled like absolute rotting meat. HOT GARBAGE BAKING IN THE SUN. When I first applied the Frownies, I thought the trash needed to be taken out. I was gagging at this smell. But no - the smell followed me to my bedroom. My husband thought I was going crazy. He couldn't smell it from where he was. It was then that I realized, the smell was on my hands and then....MY FOREHEAD! I ripped them off so quickly and tossed them far away. Absolutely HORRENDOUS. I wouldn't dare try to apply more after that stench.I reached out to Frownies and they said there is only a light smell that fades. I obviously returned these for a refund because the smell was nothing like my first pack. The customer service message did not inspire confidence that this wouldn't happen again, so I am very unsure if I will give them a second chance.
Probably easier to use if you have a flat forehead
I could see how this might work for some people, but if you don’t have a big flat forehead, it doesn’t form smooth across the curves of your skin. It most definitely cannot do what it’s supposed to if it only sticks on certain areas.

Do they smell bad? Yes. Do I care? Absolutely not in the slightest. I have resting b*tch face, and catch myself frowning constantly throughout the day. I also sleep frowning, which causes me to wake up with deep eleven lines on my forehead. I was obsessively looking up Botox options when these came up in an ad on my Instagram. I decided to give them a try and I only wish I knew about them sooner!!! I put them on every single night before bed, and wake up with a smooth forehead. Honestly, if I miss a night of using these I get mad at myself lol. No, it does NOT make your lines disappear for good, so I do still plan on eventually getting Botox. These patches are more of a preventative measure to keep those eleven lines from getting worse. I will even wear a patch during the day if I know I'm not leaving the house all day! The only advice I would give about this product is that you only need ONE strip to cover your forehead!! I have seen them advertised showing several strips, but you don't need that many. It's just wasteful and expensive. One strip will do the trick for sure.
Good product but smells horrible
I like this product a lot, it serves its purpose, easy to use, does not hurt when you remove. My only concern is the smell of the adhesive. It smells like animal poop! I like to use it overnight and the smell bothers me a lot. I have a very sensitive sense of smell so this is such a let down for me.
Not as easy as I thought
They come packages together where you have to fold and separate them. Very time consuming and I haven’t noticed any difference in appearance unfortunately. I’ve used them about 8 times and it’s more of a hassle than anything :/
Amazing for Wrinkle Prevention!
I got botox a few times but I got really worried about possible negative side affects to botox with long term use, so I quit and looked for a more natural preventative option. Found these frownie patches and a bunch of silicone patch options. I've tried both and both have their benefits, but I definitely prefer Frownies for those more prominent and potentially deeper wrinkles. For me those are the frown lines/elevens and my forehead lines which I use all. the. time. Sadly my concentration face is a frown lol. I wear a frownies patch (2 triangles) every night over my Elevens and it helps so much with helping my face relax at nice. Its crazy how much you frown even while sleeping. It honestly has helped train my face to relax again. It's crazy. My mom has really deep frown lines and I saw mine beginning to head that way, but now that I use these every night, I wake up with a smooth forehead. By the end of the day I do have some light divets from the stress of the day, but they usually disappear over night. The silicone patches are great for my smile crows feet light lines and keeping that area hydrated. I like those for there because they're softer. But because they are soft, they don't keep you from frowning in the Elevens/frown area. The stiff Frownies patches are mutch better for that area. Hope this helps! Highly recommend. I'm 38 and I've been using for probably 3-4 years.
DO NOT BUY! DOES NOT STICK OR WORK!
If I could give ZERO stars I would! Do not waste money on these! The paper does not stick! I wanted a refund but throwing in the trash was more satifisfying! A softer more pliable material would be better and there are different types out there. This is ridiculous and I can't believe I wasted my money on this stinky paper. Save your money! Search other types on Amazon. My mother used scotch tape when I was little and that is better than this!
Works, but that smell!!!!!
I’ve only used these for 3 nights and already see a difference in forehead lines…but seriously…why doesn’t every review address the smell of the adhesive???? Smells like fish sauce, essentially rotten fish, awful, inescapable!!! Why???????
Not for me
I have tried these for a while. They do stick and prevent my forehead from moving, but I don't see any difference in the appearance of my wrinkles..I won't be buying again.
Formula change
I just ordered a new set after using up Frownies I bought in 2023. The paper is noticeably thinner and the Frownies don’t stay on as well, making the “cast” weaker and defeating the purpose of the Frownies. I will be returning them and looking for an alternative. It’s too bad because the previous papers worked great, not sure why they changed things.
Easy to use, so far so good
This was my first time using frownies. Applied in seconds, once it dries on the skin (maybe 20-30 seconds), you can't feel the face sheets on your forehead. They do not come off throughout the night, have no scent.Recommended use every night (or at least 3h) for 30 days, then as needed.
They smell horrid
I’ve only had them for 3 days, I put them on the first night and instantly smelled something disgusting. I couldn’t figure out what the smell was until the next day. I was excited for these but they literally smell so gross 🥲
Nope
These do not work, they won’t even stay on my face in place for a minute. And won’t go on flat either . I followed the directions, and tried three different patches in the box. They don’t work. I feel stupid for thinking they would.
Power Through the Smell
These absolutely work for fine lines. However, they unfortunately smell like a dog wallowed in something. If you can power through the smell, they're worth it. I definitely wouldn't use these if I was sharing a bed with someone though!
Brilliant
I sleep on my sides every night. Over the years this position has led to exaggerated lines across my forehead every morning and often wouldn't 100% fade as the day went on. These prevented my sleep lines from forming during my sleep cycle.
