Worst ever. Never again. The car was not cleaned. Cracker on the floor in the back seat. The center console had spilled soda on in it (grape soda to be specific). When trying to leave, I sat at the gate waiting for someone to let me out (about 10 minutes). Backup to allow me to turn around and do back to the customer service counter to complain. Finally, someone went to the gate, but the car did not have the appropriate paperwork showing it was even cleaned. So the gatekeeper had to do it himself. Of course, he did not document the fact that it was not cleaned. Only cared about any damage. Oh, and I took a picture of the interior and exterior prior to leaving the lot. So they can't say I am making this up. I wanted to rent for longer, but decided to take it back at the end of my rental due to the horrible experience, and rented with another rental car company (Budget). It was so much better.

This company is a SCAM! The rental price seems very reasonable but they will sneak in charges to your credit card about a month after you get back from your trip. I didn't get a copy of rental agreement upon renting or returning the car. **************** is non-existent basically. I filed a dispute with the my credit card company. *** sent them a copy of my agreement showing that we took out insurance and added fees of $167.00 Since I had no copy and all the credit card company could tell me was you signed this. So now I am going after Priceline who I rented the car through and probably won't get a refund. However, I want others to know not to rent from this company. I wish I had researched them prior to renting. YOU CAN'T TRUST FOX! I feel blessed they only charged me $167 I see many others that were charged $500 up!

I rented a car through Priceline. Everything was paid upfront. I waited almost an hour to get my car since they said none available at 12pm. Everything seemed okay until I noticed a $167.76 charge on my card after returning from my trip. My husband said we do not need the extra insurance I have insurance through my auto insurance. They said they would add a $150 deposit since we opted out of the added insurance. The $150 would be credited upon return of the car. I called Fox and they said someone would call back in 72 hours. No one ever called back a week later. Disputed charge with Mastercard. Fox mailed them paperwork showing we opted for the insurance and said it was signed. I didn't get any kind of paperwork from Fox upon picking up or taking back the car. My credit card company said there was a charge of $317.76 of which $108 was insurance and the rest were taxes and additional FEES. If you take $317.76 minus the amount they charged my credit card $167.75 you are left with $150 which was the amount for the deposit. I wouldn't have had this info but my credit card company told me what it was for based on what Fox sent them showing we signed for insurance. DO NOT USE FOX! They are scammers and all of their employees are trained to scam you from the Airport to after returning your car!

Place is a complete scam. Total was supposed to be 313 upon signing agreement. When I brought car in they said everything looks good and I am good to go. My total ended up being 800 when i landed at a different state. I called costumer service to dispute and they said that 313 was just an "estimated charge" and what i owe is 800. Their hidden fees were 300% of what i was supposed to pay

Zero stars! Paid collision damage up front on Expedia. When at the counter was asked to sign, asked what the total was? Was told the agreed amount of $ ******. When I picked up the car, was told they charge deposit in case of cleaning fee like smoking. When I got the bill they kept the deposit and said it was for insurance. Trying to get through to them is a nightmare! Could not understand person on the phone, asked for a supervisor, she said they may get back to me in ***** hours, still waitingDisputing charge with my credit card company.

Do not rent from this outfit. We went through Travelocity only to find that we COULD NOT travel outside the state (Florida) as we had reservations in NC. Even if you get their Insurance you only get 75% back (Technically, 65% because it cost 10% of purchase). When we went to pick up the vehicle initially, no one was around. When we found someone, they stated we had to go to the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, we were asked if we would take the car outside of Florida. Upon learning we could not we asked to cancel which we were told to contact Travelocity. Upon contacting Travelocity, they stated they had to contact FOX! What a run-a-round. I have rented 100s of cars for both work and pleasure via Avis, Enterprise, National, Budget, etc. and have NEVER encountered such calamity as FOX!! We switch to Enterprise, w/o any issue and are traveling outside the state of Florida (w/o issue). AVOID, AVOID, AVOID FOX... it is cheap but with all the hassle. Whether work or pleasure your time is better spent elsewhere!

Rented a car for Vegas for a weekend with the wife and kids wasn't pleased with rental,the lady at the counter was nice and friendly.When i got to my rental I was disappointed,it look like the rental had just been returned and issued to me without being cleaned,spills,crumbs,white stains on steering wheel and bird poop on car and windows.I had to go wash a rental car i paid for very dissatisfied.

Paid for a rental car through Priceline and Fox Rent a Car clerk told us she could get us a better deal and lower that Priceline quote.but what she was really doing was charging us add-ons. She explained what the final price would be, which we thought was total cost for the rental but what she was really quoting was all the add-ons plus a deposit for car. She lied and misled.

I never write yelp reviews, but this is to warn other customers so they are not taken advantage of. CHOOSE ANOTHER RENTAL CAR COMPANY! Beware...I have had TWO very bad experiences with Fox Rent a Car. Fortunately, they have great rates, unfortunately, they are scammy and DO NOT have good customer service. My first experience with Fox was 2 years ago. I denied the 'loss damage waiver' when asked, then proceeded to double check what I was signing with the agent at the front desk. When signing the contract, you CANNOT see what you are agreeing to on the screen (just asked to 'sign here' three times with no explanation). I called for a refund of the loss damage waiver and it was denied. I was sent a credit (with a one year expiration date). Flash forward to this July...I use the credit, I triple check to make sure the waiver is denied..I was charged again!! A total SCAM. I called to make the charge right and I was denied a credit or refund. I will not be coming back. Do yourself a favor and DENY THE WAIVER IN ALL THE WAYS. I tried and it did not work. No way to contact the LAX office either. Good luck to all that deal with Fox customer service!

WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.Prepaid $582 for a rental only to arrive at the rental counter, wait over an hour, and then be told that no cars were available. If a car is reserved for a specific date and time for pickup, especially when paid for, how is it not ready?Finally, myself and several people in line ahead of me, were walked over to Dollar rental BY THE *** EMPLOYEE because they had a few cars left. I was told that *** would reimburse the difference, which I double checked with the Fox employee about before heading to the garage with my new rental agreement from Dollar for $948.Once the car was returned to Dollar, I called Fox to follow up on the reimbursement process only to be told that (A) there was no record in the Fox notes about running out of cars nor the employee promising reimbursement and (B) I should have been given an 'upsell agreement' by *** which I was not. Now it appears that I am out of luck with reimbursement after paying more than DOUBLE to a competitor under the promise of being made whole by ***.Not only were the Fox representatives at the SEATAC counter not helpful, they were also incompetent. Calling the customer service line has been just as maddening an experience with no help or guidance given at all.I would sooner walk barefoot to my destination than to rent a car with Fox.

I rent car in Seattle Tacoma International Airport location. Almost 3 week I forget my phone in car when I drop. I contacted customer services. No response. And 10 days ago customer services call me. Find out my phone. I tell when mail my phone. No answer. Zero services and zero company and zero services. Before you rent Fox Rent A Car be careful. Zero customer services.

Worst car rental Company. I had my money market card as I do not use credit cards. They refused to rent me a car then refused to refund me. I have used my mm card in place of a cc everywhere.

Careful. They offer you a toll package, and act like it's free, they don't tell you, you do not need it and the charge is 12.99 a day for it. Van driver was so rude, don't expect assistance with your luggage. Overall the very worst experience renting a car.

Ill start this with I would prefer to give 0 stars to Fox rent a car . They are attempting to charge me $511.11 for cleaning dirt of the floor boards of the ****** Rogue that I rented for 5 days. After contacting *** to dispute the charge I was told by the customer service rep to politely to go pound sand. Them I asked the rep for a supervisor. She placed on hold for approximately 10 min. When the rep came back on she informed me that there where no Supervisors available, but one would call me back. Its been over 48 hrs. and still no call. I advised the rep and asked her to document that that I would be contacting WA and TX consumer protection agency's plus I would be disputing this charge with my credit card company. So far I have done everything that I said I would plus now I'm adding this to BBB just to warn everyone how shady this company is. Additionally Fox has class action lawsuit against them In **, and lost a class action in **. The next step will be small claims.

Zero stars. Very questionable morals. Never rent from from these people..Borderline scam? Is it really cheaper? My opinion don't rent here. The rental was in SLC. When I booked, I saw that there was "Airport Pick-up" for the car.(The fine print tells a different story.) The ""Fox translation " for that statement is:" We pick you up at the airport and drive you over to an off site, actual pick up location". After a long walk with big luggage, we waited 30 minutes, for the shuttle w/no place to sit down. (The printed contract paperwork has no phone number for the actual location!) The desk persons at Fox must get a commission for the "ADD ONS"?? Anyway, they tried 3 or 4 awkward ways to up the charges, while we were standing at the desk. And then they had no car for us. 30 minutes later a big car was brought around, and I agreed to take that car for a higher price.( I know that makes me sound like a sucker, but we were headed out for 13 days, and It was a nicer car). A few days later we had an incident. A bus hit (brushed) the car while it was parked. The ******* was great to help, and immediately agreed to pay. Fox recovery just sent me a request for the full amount. Along with that Fox Recovery included this paragraph in the letter they sent me. Quoting directly from the letter. "If you are in agreement with our position as set fourth in this letter and it is your desire to resolve the matter at this time, please remit payment in full referencing our claim number, to the address noted on this document". They tried to get me to send them the total 3900$ amount for all damages, knowing full well that the bus company was paying for it too. (Looking for the unsuspecting)? When I phoned ***** he started to tell me the bus *** had paid but changed that to say they had "committed" to pay. The Fox damage recovery group got a $250admin fee, on top of getting their car fixed, and perhaps a kick back from the body repair shop? This place is a joke! ??Morals??

I recently rented with fox - Orlando, after traveling all day and finally making it to my rental agency, I was handed the keys and told to sign a multitude of documents. One that I was told was "Mandatory" to sign was the loss damage waiver. I was told by Hakim that this was mandatory as I was renting a 15 passenger van, and it was classified as a commercial vehicle. So standing there with 5 kids my wife and in laws, I signed. Once I got settle about 2am I called my credit card company which I booked through and they said it is no way mandatory and my travel card has it covered. I called back the billing dept at fox and told them to remove it. They said I could travel back to the rental agency and get it refunded or wait until i return the vehicle and call them back for the refund- I had 72 hours after I returned the vehicle for my refund. I asked them if they made note on my file that I called and requested it to be removed/refunded and they did state that it was clearly on my file. So the day i retuned my vehicle I called the billing dept and they stated they had to escalate this matter - it was escalated and weeks went by I never heard back, after calling a number of times I was told they would get in contact with via email. As another work week went by I called back and they said it was denied by the manager. FOX Rental was by far the most unprofessional company I have dealt with but will never deal with again. I will begin to spread my experience now across the numerous sites for review in hopes to help another travel weary family make a better decision when it comes to the numerous rental companies available! So I was lied to, told a service was "Mandatory" than promised a resolve and then declined. Worst Rental Company so far.
