Wonderful regional airport that serves the Gainesville and surrounding areas. Quick security lines, comfortable lobbies, a couple of small eateries/bars and even a convenience shop. A pleasure to travel through this location.
Last time I was there, they have a collection box for toiletries that help local nonprofits help those in need. So if you have small items you can donate, bring them along. The box is near the baggage area.
The security officers here are rude for absolutely no reason at all. How they got these jobs is beyond me. I've never been treated that was from TSA before. The lady was yelling at me confusing me on what to put in what box. That doesn't matter as long as they're in a box at other airports!!! Absolutely do NOT recommend this airport.
I love the regional airports. Less people, fewer problems, you can get your rental car while you wait for your luggage. Plus, they have really good chicken tenders and tots at the restaurant.

Small airport and easily navigable. The employees are helpful and the ambiance is mellow.

Very easy to get in and out of small and clean nice airport still very good

Small regional airport to easily come and go.
But make sure you book a rental / uber before arrival cause taxi are almost inexistent
