Terrible Very bad trip I have been waiting for a 12:40 am bus that has been delayed for hours it is now 5 am and no answer nothing!!! They don’t have answers to why it’s delayed!! A bus to the same location has came at 5 am and our bus from 12:40 am has not!!! This is beyond ridiculous!!!!

Toilet smell in Flixbus is an obsession I took a bus journey with Flixbus from Los Angeles to San Jose on 22 Dec 2024. It came late at the pick up point of LA, that is no problem much but my seat number 12 is terrible with the toilet smell. I saw many of passenger around me also covered their nose in vary way. After the break, some other passenger left I saw an empty front seat and moved their, it was less smell their in compare to the behind seat that I had booked. Howerver I don't think to use Flixbus again. The toilet smell there is still an obsession :(

Refund money Worst bus travel experience I had, they told us to book another ticket because the connection bus left early& they'll reimburse us the money which was about $79 they haven't done that since September.their refund policy sucks& there customer service representative lied to me about sending the money back to my account.79$ is nothing but when you loose money trough deception&lies is not a good thing

SERIOUS DISCRIMINATION ON FLIX BUS, DRIVER POCKETS THE MONEY IT WAS 3:06 AM JAN 1, 2025.. TRAVELING FROM NYC TO BALTIMORE..ON FLIX , I STILL HAVE MY ORIGINAL TICKET. THE BUS DRIVER INSISTED I PAY $60.00 CASH FOR ME TO GET ON THE BUS, I HAD MISTAKENLY GOT MY TICKET WHICH WAS PAID FOR ON LINE FOR DEC 31ST AT 3;06 AM INSTEAD OF FOR JAN 1ST 2025. I ASKED THE BUS DRIVER COULD HE HELP ME CHANGE THE TICKET TO THE CORRECT DATE JAN 1, 2025, AND WHAT WOULD IT COST, HE SAID IT WAS $60.00 CASH, MY BROTHER HAD TO GO AND GET THE FUNDS FROM AN ATM ACROSS THE STREET, I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR MY TICKET ON LINE,$45.00 THE BUS DRIVER POCKETED THE CASH HOWEVER. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME WERE THREE CAUCASIAN MEN THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY TICKETS, HE SAID GIVE ME $25,00 CASH R AND HE POCKETED THAT CASH AND LET THEM ON..THE BUS, I AM AFRICAN AMERICAN, HE SAID IF I DON'T PAY $60.00 IN CASH I COULD NOT TRAVEL..HE WAS CHINESE THERE WAS ANOTHER BUS EMPLOYEE ON THE BUS WHO WAS AFRICAN AMERICAN TOO AND HE DID NOTHING...I THINK FLIX BUS HAS SOME CAMERA'S AUDIO AND VISUAL UNFORTUNATELY, THIS INCIDENT TOOK PLACE AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE BUS AND NOT ON THE BUS N.IT IS OUTRAGEOUS THAT THIS SORT OF SHAKEDOWN EXISTS...I COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AS I HAD TO GET BACK TO BALTIMORE WHAT WILL YOU DO TO STOP THIS SHAKEDOWN TAKING PLACE ON FLIXBUS

Terrible Company They still have to refund me an unused $50 fare due to "FlixBus Outage" on December 11, 2023.If they were honest people they would have already refunded without any problems!!

NO REFUND EVER - MISLEADING REFUND POLICY!!!!! Beware that their "REFUND" is really only an exchange as they give you a 12-month VOUCHER, i.e. STORE CREDIT. While booking, there was nothing written that said that the tickets are "non-refundable", that is, that is YOU CAN'T GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!!! They use "refund" and "exchange" interchangeably. VERY MISLEADING POLICY and would not recommend. I would avoid this company just for their VERY UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!

Great if you want to to be scammed It was so bad, They cancelled my bus 3 hours before, and all the buses back to my hometown. I was basically left stranded and buy the last ticket on the oinly bus leaving Houston, a first class bus.Then they refunded me for what they SAID was the whole ticket, but wasnt the figure I paid. They also refused to compensate me for my bus ticket because it was first class even though that was my only option as i couldnt afford a hotel, which they refused to cover also despite their customer policy. considering my firstbus wassuper late would say do not ride wuth them- you are much better off with the other companies, at least they stick to their word. so disappointed.

REFUND They put us on a broken down bus and dropped us off at a McDonald's. We've been waiting here for over 4 hours. I called for a refund and they don't want to give it back. I lost the day I didn't go to work and I missed my doctor's appointment, plus the money that the bus ticket there and back cost me. Why do they put broken down buses on long trips? It doesn't make sense. All I want is my money back. All this has caused me a lot of trouble, apart from the loss of money and time.

Terrible Experience with FlixBus: Delays, Extra Costs, and No Accountability I’m very disappointed with FlixBus’s handling of my recent trip from Washington, DC, to Boston via New York. The trip was delayed, poorly managed, and ended up costing me extra money and unnecessary stress.The first leg of the trip was nearly an hour late, causing us to miss our connection to Boston. Customer service told me the bus’s GPS was “turned off” and advised me to “be patient.” When the bus finally arrived in New York at 8:15 PM—well after our 7:30 PM connection had left—there were no other buses to Boston that day. We had to rent a car to complete the trip.Our ticket included the transfer, so the missed connection was FlixBus’s responsibility. Customer service even said expenses would be covered if the delay was their fault. However, when I requested a refund for the second leg, FlixBus denied it, claiming their system didn’t show any delay. This is outrageous—if they don’t record delays, does that mean they never have to take responsibility?This experience was frustrating and unprofessional. FlixBus needs to take better care of their customers. Until they do, I won’t recommend them to anyone.

VERY BAD COMPANY The bus I paid for said that I was not on the list for that bus because I had bought the ticket months in advance. Had to buy another ticket and no refund.There were elderly women crying who were in a similar situation at the stop. Nothing will change, hopefully there are other alternatives next time I go to California.Even California busses in general are madness the culture is terrible but almost kind of fun to watch the disfunction and rude people as someone not from America.

Never again! Rode the Flisxbus to Chicago from Indianapolis and back last weekend to shop for Christmas. It was unpleasant from start to finish. The information was incorrect on our tickets and very confusing. The bus was not comfortable and the outlets were all broken. We were very disappointed and will not take the bus again. We did not feel safe at the stops or on the bus.

FlixBus USA - NOT DEPENDABLE & GIVES NO REFUNDS Not dependable for trips to SeaTac airport. Bus was over 2.5 hours late. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN, only a voucher good for 1 year on the same undependable Flix bus. Had to take a last minute Lyft ride for $143 to make our flight.

Terrible, terrible service! Don't use. Our bus was delayed again and again without any pre-warning. We got on the earliest bus (after waiting for an hour for it) by paying over double the original price for we were heading for NY to engage sth. urgent. Flixbus didn't confess its terrible service, nor did it refund our money. To avoid trouble and being treated unfairly without any reason. Don't don't use it.

Bus breakdown, no compensation Where to start? The bus was 85 minutes late on the arrival, took another 10 minutes to start.On the bus my (paid) ticket reservation was ignored - someone was sitting in my seat and didn't want to give it up. When I asked the driver to help, he said to sit anywhere. Don’t bother paying for seat reservation as you’ll just be dismissed.20 minutes into the trip the bus broke down at the side of the highway. The driver completely ignored us and didn't inform us about anything: what was going on, what we can expect, if there will be a replacement bus coming etc. Moreover, he kept yelling at passengers who were super frustrated with the situation.I was already over two hours late at this point. I had a business meeting in LA and seeing I'd never get there by FlixBus on time, I took an Uber. This cost me $120, a price of a flight, basically.And as for the Flixbus customer service, it is as good as their buses - the “chat with an expert” within the app is broken, or there are no experts there. Also, the messaging system that is supposed to inform you about delays is as delayed as the bus. (The bus was ultimately 5hours+ late on a 2h journey). Finally, after I filled out a refund and compensation claim, they happily informed me they’d refund the $27 bus ticket and completely ignored the uber receipt. Public transport infrastructure in the US is broken as is, and companies like Flixbus are doing nothing to restore trust in it. I try to be ecologically responsible but I also need to get to places ultimately. If you don’t mind being yelled at by the driver, sitting next to the toilet and not getting to your destination, Flixbus is the company for you.

Broken down bus, no refund Trying to support sustainable transport, I took a bus from Palm Springs North - Los Angeles. Informing in a very untimely manner, I learn over several text messages that the bus would be late - this belatedness grows to 85 minutes late on the arrival. On the bus my (paid) ticket reservation is ignored - someone is sitting in my seat and doesn't want to give it up. I ask the driver to help, he says to sit anywhere. Don't bother paying for a reservation of your seat, you'll be ignored and broke down at the side of the highway. The driver completely ignored us and didn't inform us about anything: what was going on, what we can expect, if there will be a replacement bus coming etc. He also kept yelling at passengers who were super frustrated with the situation.Half way to LA, not moving, I was already over two hours late for a business meeting. Seeing I'd never get there by FlixBus on time, I took an Uber (might as well flown).I filed a compensation claim with their customer service (don't bother using their "chat with an expert" function in the app - it doesn't work). They denied the Uber compensation (they don't compensate for any alternative transport - and don't provide it either).But also, now they say they won't even provide the $27 for the original ticket for the trip - even though the bus was at least 4 hours late on the arrival. I have traveled across whole of Europe by bus, many of them were Flixbuses. I made a mistake thinking it would be the same in here. US public transport infrastructure is tragic, and companies like Flixbus, together with their customer support, just reinforce the abysmal state of things.

DONT TAKE THIS BUS Flux bus is the worst experience I have ever had if you have a chance DONT take it. They are a shady company. I went from Portland to Seattle and out 8 pm return is was running “late “ which happens no big deal by the depot also closed at 8 pm so we were outside. Almost 11 pm I am trying to find out where the bus is the people over the phone didn’t know where the us was they kept telling me to call back in 15 minutes. We ended leaving it was cold and raining, not on the best side of town. Luckily we had the means to get an Uber and a hotel. As soon as we pulled up to the hotel I got a message saying the bus was cancelled! Almost 11:30 pm! Ok so if I couldn’t get a room I was gonna sleep on the parking lot??? Gets better, supposedly I would get a refund for the hotel and the TRAIN we took back! Almost 400 dollars for 3 of us that I need a refund. Still haven’t got a dime. It’s been almost 3 weeks and they keep saying “wait for the email “ I hope I do get a refund because this is messed up, but I won’t hold my breath!! DONT EVER take them!! Pay a little extra for a company who cares! Thank you! Rant over

When I first boarded the bus, the driver was incredibly rude, even yelling at passengers to be quiet in a way that felt intimidating. After arriving at my destination, I tried to reschedule my return trip, but here's where things got even worse.The website’s design and wording are incredibly misleading, making you think you're rescheduling with no cost when you're actually not. The way they present the transaction is so confusing that I had to double-check everything to fully understand it. It turns out I wasn’t rescheduling; I was essentially buying a new ticket altogether—one that ended up costing more than my original ticket.Then, to make matters worse, the rescheduled bus was suddenly canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances," but I suspect it was because they hadn’t filled the bus. I was hours away from home and left scrambling to find another way back.Do yourself a favor and trust the review...this company is not worth the hassle and money.
