This is my first Vietnamese restaurant and first time trying pho noodles with beef. So good and satisfying! They are also vegan friendly.
This is a super cute place in the heart of downtown Des Moines. I have stopped by a couple times in the past month. I got the pad Thai and wasnât a huge fan, but their fried rice is really good!! Highly recommend the Cafe Sua Matcha if you like coffee and matcha! If youâre in the area and looking for a cute and unique little spot, Pho Real is a great option! :)
I have low expectations for services at Pho but man, this place is bad. I basically was inside the store for 6 minutes and no one said anything to me or took my order. It was a Monday evening so roughly 50% full at best. I noticed when I left there were at least 4 table just sitting there waiting for their checks. I guess they don't get tips cause they service reflects it
Was craving curry and couldnât be happier with our restaurant choice. The curry, the special pho, the grilled pork banh mi and the boba drinks were delicious! We ordered strawberry matcha and strawberry cheesecake, both outstanding. Service was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back to try out different dishes. There was no wait for us to be seated. We visited on a Sunday afternoon.
The service is absolutely phenomenal! I had to send back my first order of Kalshi beef because it was so tough it was impossible to eat. I had to rip out pieces with my teeth and hands. The idea of such an etiquette in this nice restaurant was unappealing to me so I sent it back.
JJ was so lovely and swapped it for pho. She completely understood the struggle and made me felt taken care of. She was friendly, kind and took care of every little thing extremely well. The pho was great! Would recommend for the really amazing service!
Friendly service but very subpar Vermicelli Bowl and Spring rolls. The latter stuffed with rice noodles and not much else. Pork with vermicelli tasted like it was microwave re warmed and not very tasty. Definitely not grilled as one would experience with authentic Vietnamese street food. Completely underwhelmed and wonât return. I canât help but think the mostly Gen Z patrons there have just never experienced authentic Vietnamese food.
