Such a lovely shop! Super helpful and friendly, and even tightened my glasses frame which had come loose for me without me asking and at no extra cost :) they were also happy to explain the science behind my eyes to me and answer all my questions during my eye tests! Fantastic customer service all round. I’ve both bought glasses here and had eye tests here and always had a great experience, and it is so nice to support a local businesses rather than big chains. I also love that they have a collection point to recycle contact lens frames!

Delightful service, made my daughter's first experience of getting glasses so easy. She bounced out with a spring in her step and is really excited to get her new specs. If your kid needs a test, go here.

After waiting nearly a year to get a prescription for my 3-year-old daughter through the NHS, I decided to call Eye Value in desperation—and I am so glad I did. They managed to book us in for an appointment on the very same day! Benjamin, one of the proprietors, was absolutely incredible with my daughter. At just three years old, I had anticipated that she might resist or struggle with the eye tests. However, Benjamin’s warmth, patience, and expertise put her completely at ease. She happily cooperated during what turned out to be a very thorough and comprehensive examination. It was such a relief to finally address her vision issues, which had been apparent for months. Thanks to Benjamin, we left with a solution that same day. While we were there, I decided to have my own eyes tested as I’d recently noticed some difficulty seeing things as clearly as before. Benjamin quickly confirmed that my distance vision was impaired and provided a prescription. Once my new glasses were ready, the difference was nothing short of astonishing—like stepping into a world of high definition! I had grown so used to my deteriorated vision that I didn’t realize how much I was missing. With my new glasses, it’s like I’ve been given a new lease on life. Details in my surroundings and people’s facial expressions now stand out with clarity I hadn’t experienced in years. The moment my daughter received her new glasses, the wonder and amazement on her face were priceless. She’s clearly experiencing the same sense of discovery and joy as I did. I highly recommend this opticians. I have been to a few opticians in my lifetime and I can honestly say this is the best opticians ever. Mr. Benjamin Jacobs is a very caring,thorough,experienced optician and he explained everything involved within my eye test and gave me extra information. . We weren't happy with the optician around our area. My Japanese friend recommended me her optician. She said that he is highly experienced, kind and does eye tests thoroughly. On top , ALL the staff are very good with kids. I highly recommend this optician.

Fixed my glasses super quickly and for a great price after Specsabwrs told me it couldn’t be done. Excellent service all round

I went to 3 other optometrists to fix a very small problem with my frames they wanted to keep the glasses for 3 hours and some told me they need a day or 2 I went to eye value and they fixed it in 5 minutes above and beyond definitely go there

Will not be returning. Got my very basic prescription wrong and lots of back and forth until it was resolved.

I went there for replacement glasses in November last year . I was sold glasses that I could barely see through, let alone read with. Just a few days of getting it, my glasses cracked after falling from my face to the ground. This surprised me as I wasn't expecting new glasses to break so suddenly , but mine did. I took the glasses back for fixing, and I was told that I had to pay to have the lens put in a new frame (this only took the guy less than 3 minutes to do). Less than a week after this, the glasses fell from my face and broke again! I feel like I'd been sold cheap poundland glasses, it doesn't make sense for it to keep falling from my face and breaking each time.

Could not recommend more. Having not been for an eye test since childhood, I was slightly anxious when we first began - Benjamin made me feel at ease so quickly. He was extremely professional, he took his time, he talked me through everything - we even had quite a few laughs too!
