I took a laptop to them that was dying of old age (8 years old) because I wanted to put its 450 GB of files onto a brand new computer. So they transferred the files as they worked around problems of the glitchy laptop. But then, my NEW computer fried the motherboard and certain other parts because of a dead CPU (not the memory transfer).
After they talked with me about what I wanted to do and they figured out what broke, they were able to contact the manufacturer to send it back for repairs (it was still under warranty). After getting the new computer back, the memory transfer had to be done again because the manufacturer had done a factory reset. But Expert Technology didn't charge me extra for that or all the extra work of contacting the manufacturer! Finally, I got them to add another 500 GB SSD to the new PC.
It's been about 2 months since I brought both computers home and I haven't had any problems or missing/corrupted files! I'm happy that I came here.
TLDR: I had 2 broke computers. In the end I got more than what I came for: The new computer has all the files I was needing and somehow the old computer works a little bit too! I didn't have to do very much and I wasn't charged much money for all they did.
