I was made to feel very at ease in my experience with Elementary Puppy Training. Kevin has loads of experience and was full of useful hints and tips with me being a first time puppy owner. He has restored my confidence I can bring up a well trained dog.

Great time helped us both as well as the dog, 2 days later the difference is fantastic now a pleasure to walk him. Looking forward to further improvements in a couple of weeks.

Kev has been brilliant with our Black Lab puppy Daisy. We have all grown in confidence through simple training techniques. Kev has tailored the sessions to what we would like to do with Daisy. We will be booking another set of sessions.

I took my young puppy to meet Kev and within the first session I could see an immediate improvement! Kev was lovely with Max but also gave me and my daughter the confidence and skills to continue the training at home. No pressure to book extra sessions. I would highly recommend Elementary Puppy Training.

Kev is an amazing dog/puppy trainer, very friendly and patient. He bonded with Yoda immediately and showed us some brilliant tips with our puppy. Was so pleased we could have a 1 to 1 session and he came to our home. Everything we are doing for our puppy is spot on and with keys help our training will continue. Highly recommended. As first time Puppy owners we felt we needed help with both training our puppy and learning our puppies needs. Kevin was fantastic from the first point of contact. He took time and care to both understand our needs and the nature of our puppy before the first session. We learnt so much and our puppy quickly responded to the lessons. Kevin is very professional and undertook sessions both at home, in our neighbourhood and further afield to make sure we had experience in all the settings we are likely to encounter with him. Our puppy is growing so fast and we are much more confident with him and he is very well behaved. Despite finishing the course Kevin still checks in with us to make sure the puppy is doing well. We are so pleased we found Kevin and can’t recommend him highly enough!

We met Kev via the weekly puppy walks (a free and incredibly valuable activity!) and then got in touch for some 1:1 sessions for our five month old puppy. Kev took the time to understand our very lively dog and even though we are first time owners, never patronised or made us feel silly. Thanks to Kev, we mastered the basics of recall in the first session which previously felt like an impossible task. Our dog loved him and the sessions (it’s a great piece of land for training and feels very secure) and we came away with more confidence as well as tons of helpful advice. Couldn’t recommend more!

Kevin was extremely helpful, and is able to give excellent advice tailored to each customer's personal requirements. He has a wealth of experience in training dogs and this was very apparent when he took our 14 week old puppy through some initial training on recall, fetching and loose lead walking.

From the word go Kevin made friends with Monty (LhasaPoo) so he had his trust straight away. His professional nature and handling of our dog was amazing and just showed that Monty was trainable quite quickly and we will practice the same. Well worth spending time with Kevin and him showing us how to be with Monty on the lead and calling him back to our side. Also looked at distractions too. We felt very at ease with his friendly manner. Thank you for today!

I contacted Kevin following a long lonely isolated time together for my puppy and I. Due to the pandemic my puppy, who had also had a broken leg were feeling vulnerable and nervous of being out and about. Kevin came to meet us at a place near where we live. We spent the best hour we had , had in months. Playing whilst training and socialising. Thank you Kevin, I now feel far more confident in my techniques of handling and Training Millie. I would recommend this service and indeed will. Many Thanks, and as you say we will keep in touch.

Kev has helped us massively with our 2 Maltese pups as they were marking urine around our house and a few other issues. His training tips helped immediately and our boys have settled great. Great lad, easy to communicate with and knows his stuff. I would highly recommend using his services.

Kevin has been utterly amazing! He’s a god send. I’ve never owned my own puppy before and have been struggling with a few problems. Kevin is very personable and was able to build a rapport with my puppy very quickly (puppy isn’t very happy with strangers, so this was great) ! He quickly identified areas that we could improve on and work on. We’ve put the recommendations into place and they’ve worked really well. Follow up a few weeks later....again Kevin Identified things that we could do differently and improve on. I feel confident now that I can continue making positive changes to my approach in training my puppy. Kevin is an extremely calm, personable and relaxed professional. He is very encouraging and positive in his approach, making you feel like you’re on the right tracks! I highly recommend and I’m sure I’ll be calling on him again in the future ?

Brilliant! I contacted Elementary Puppy Training as my puppy's barking was causing lots of issues! After a few sessions, not only had he helped make our lives much quieter, but also helped us with crate training and greeting people at the door. Couldn't recommend Kev more if you're is looking for an affordable but professional dog trainer in York! His process was great, starting with an initial call and then following up with both a video and instructions after each session. It meant we could keep referring back to his instructions to make sure we were doing it right. Lot's of persistence and patience still needed, but we are making great progress and I'm looking forward to our future sessions!
