Nightmare

Seems to me like a scam - stay away from eDreams
eDreams is a scam. I booked a flight from Kenya to New Zealand and had to reschedule it. The flight was a 2-leg one from Kenya to Indonesia and from Indonesia to New Zealand. I was given a call from their call centre from India and the flight was rescheduled, but only one leg from Indonesia to New Zealand, while I was informed (and requested this) that both legs wee rescheduled. I was promised to be sent a confirmation of the new dates within 48 hours. As this didn't happen, I made several calls to request it. Finally, after 9 days, a confirmation was sent. Unfortunately, meantime I missed the original flight that wasn't rescheduled! After sending them my complaint, they said I had requested rescheduling only one leg and that they had recordings to prove it that they can send to me. I requested the recordings but since then (over 2 months now), no one has contacted me. It is almost impossible to get hold of them now. It is clear their staff who was rescheduling it made a mistake and then not sending me a confirmation within 48 hours was another failure. If they sent it, I would have picked up there was something wrong and there was still time to fix the issue. TO summarise, a terrible experience and I would advise everyone staying away from eDreams. There are a lot of complains all around the internet about them that I should have read before I even opened their website. I wish I had checked, for example, the one below (a govt website in NZ).

6 months and still waiting for my refund
I booked a flight with E-Dreams in September of 2023 to fly in December. I paid an extra $116 for their cancel for any reason guarantee insurance in case I had to change my travel plans. I cancelled my reservation in October and it's been six months already and I'm yet to receive my refund. I have spent hours on the phone with their customer service on several occasions trying to get my money back but all I get are promises and no action. For the longest time they kept saying that they had sent the request for cancellation to the airline (Virgin Airlines) and were waiting for approval. A couple of weeks ago I got a new customer service representative who told me I should need the airline approval as I had purchased the cancel for any reason guarantee insurance. He said he had processed my refund and I would receive it within 5 business days. A week later I called again and the same customer services representative agent answered and said that there was some internal communications happening but that he would stay on top of my case and I would get my refund within a couple business days. It's been another week and I am yet to receive any communication from them, or even better, the nearly $1,000 they owe me. I did some research online and see that this has been common practice with many customers from this agency. I will never use their services again and hope this review can protect customers from making the same mistake I made in the future.

No Email of confirmation from company.
Reference number 15329554139
I booked a flight from Taipei to Narita Tokyo, of . 22 March. I've been contacting to the customer service many times to ask them to send me the confirmation email immediately. Every time they say it's under priority and they will send the email within 6 hours maximum. But no emails after 30 hours. The operator told me that the booking was not accepted because there's no seats. So they are trying to cancel the booking. Im waiting for the confirmation of cancellation and refund. But no email. I have a huge trouble. I need to rush. Please send me the email about confirmation of cancellation immediately.... Please.

fraudsters
Today, I noticed a charge of 89.99 euros on my card for an annual Prime subscription. I was surprised to learn that I had unknowingly subscribed to a trial period that ended today. Unfortunately, I haven't used the service and didn't intend to subscribe to it.
After some research, I discovered that many other customers are experiencing the same issue. The application's design is quite confusing, seemingly intentionally, which makes it challenging to navigate and understand the subscription terms.
I'm now concerned that this unexpected charge might impact my flight booking

I'd give -5 stars, if I could
If there was a way to give -5 stars, I would give that. I got this random email from eDreams congratulating me for signing up for eDreams Prime, which I NEVER did. I tried to find their contact number online but the most feasible way seemed to be to have to download the app to find the number there. I finally found the number, when I was put in contact with the agent, I said immediately I didn't sign up for this membership and wanted to cancel. The agent on the phone proceeded to insist at least 7 times about all the benefits of the Prime subscription. I explicitly said at least 3 times that he was not going to achieve anything by repeating the same thing, in fact he was going to achieve the opposite. I got pretty frustrated, it was like we were speaking two different languages. What a terrible approach eDreams. If that's how they try to convince customers, they should seriously realise this is 2024.

Truly a traumatic experience
I booked a flight through the edreams webpage. After seeing that the first flight did not get confirmed for 24 hours, I started getting in contact with them. After about 5 phone calls, I found out that the issue was that the first of three flights was no longer available. They told me that I could not get a refund for the flights that were remaining. Now I have a flight from Frankfurt and no way to get there on time, they wont refund even though I paid extra for trip protection.
I cannot believe that not only my first flight unexpectedly didn't work, but they had no solutions at all. They tricked me into buying a full flight path and then canceled half, and then wouldn't refund the second half. This is the worst platform out there!

Hidden charge, extortion
Dear eDreams Team,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the misleading pricing practices I recently encountered on your booking platform.
As a student studying in Madrid, I was excited to visit my sister in Paris for Easter and decided to search for flight tickets on eDreams. After finding what seemed like a reasonable fare of 135 euros, I proceeded with the booking process. However, as I entered my details, I was informed that the total price, including taxes and service charges, would be 150 euros, which was still acceptable to me.
Then came the offer of a "free" 30-day Prime membership, which supposedly would maintain my rate at 150 euros. I opted for this thinking it was a fair deal, considering I might continue to use eDreams if the service proved to be satisfactory. However, upon completing the transaction and checking my bank statement, I was shocked to see that 206 euros had been debited from my account.
This kind of pricing strategy feels like nothing short of extortion. The initial price of 135 euros was already reasonable, and the additional charges were disclosed as 150 euros, which I agreed to. However, the final amount of 206 euros is completely unacceptable and misleading. It is not how a reputable business should conduct itself.
I want to emphasize how disappointed I am with this experience. As a student on a tight budget, such unexpected charges are a significant burden. I trusted eDreams for a straightforward and transparent booking process, but this experience has shattered that trust completely.
I have decided never to make a purchase from eDreams again, and I will be sure to share my terrible experience with my classmates, friends, and family. It is crucial for businesses to maintain honesty and transparency with their customers, and eDreams has failed to do so in this instance.
I urge you to review your pricing practices and ensure that such misleading tactics are not used in the future. Customers should be able to trust the prices they see when making a booking, without fear of hidden fees or inflated charges.
I expect a prompt response regarding this matter and a resolution to the overcharged amount. I also hope that eDreams takes this feedback seriously and works towards providing a more transparent and honest service to its customers.
Sincerely,
Nimesha

Scammed
I payed for baggage and that wasn't included once I was about to enter airplane. Once I tried to call these idiots, I was told I need to have a premium subscription to get customer support. I tried to email them. Told them I have no access to phone anymore, but they try to call me and then say I might not be able to get my help if I don't answer. Never had such blatant scamming happening to me before. Horrible company, I wish they had less than 1 star to give here. Stay away.

eDreams is not a honest company. They will try to trick you.
I bought a flexible flight. I changed the date, and apparently, there was a processing time. I lost my flight (and thus my money +600$) because they were not able to call me to confirm it. Using calls as a confirmation method for this when people who travel usually don't have access to a phone line seems a bit scammy to me. I received an autoamated email afterwards that I didn't even see. What's the app for then? I will NEVER again buy a flight using eDreams.
In addition to this, if you want to cancel your subscription to the Prime membership, they will also make you call no matter what. They will tell you you can do it online but the online process is basically a pop-up message telling you to call to a phone number. It's so frustrating that there are still companies out there that are allowed to engage in this kind of tricky and scammy practices to take advantatge of people.

eDreams is a scam company
My request to the customer care:
I paid your company eDreams 177 euros for tickets from Antalya to Munich according to the reservation number 14450975289. Flight XC6103 on March 16, 2024 was canceled, which was notified to me by the airline and offered me a refund. I agreed to the refund but only received €144.98. I declare that this withholding of service fees (including baggage fees) by eDreams is fraudulent and I demand a full refund. I understand eDreams' desire to make money on service fees for providing customers with high quality services - that's why your company was chosen when purchasing tickets. But please agree, it is unfair on your company's part to continue earning in full when the service is canceled. I (as a customer) incur additional losses due to late rebooking of other flights and I am transferring these risks to my side. I think it is also fair of you to put the risks of flight cancelation into the price of your services and refund the money in case of flight cancelation. Why should I, as your client, lose money and you make money, if the final service for which I contacted you is not provided, and a physical flight is certainly such a service for the client.
The response:
...We would like to inform you of the terms & conditions that in case of cancellation made by the airline we will refund you the amount that we have received from the airline. However, the service charge that was paid while creating a booking would not be refunded...

Your flight(s) may be covered with free cancellation for the next 24 hours. »
Your flight(s) may be covered with free cancellation for the next 24 hours. »
« Dear customer,
With regard to your booking reference 14882028*** with eDreams
Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding amending your travel arrangements.
Unfortunately, according to the terms and conditions for your flight booking, the tickets you have purchased cannot be changed. »
