WOW!!!! The food and experience was beyond what words could describe. Alex was our server and did an amazing job explaining the process with ordering the food and cooking it. He stopped by many times to check in on us, as we were first timers. If you’re looking for a fun date idea or just something new, check this spot out you won’t be disappointed. 10/10

Love this place great food come hungry the owner even came and chatted with us great guy waitress was awsome and they took shots with us and we got to try rice wine will be back for sure

What a disappointment! Ordered some take out. The Pork & Veggie Mandu 6 pieces aren't much bigger than a quarter and definitely not worth $9. The 1/2 order of Korean Fried Chicken is supposed to come with 4 pieces of chicken but mine came with 2 and definitely not worth $10. The Jeyuk Bokkeum was mostly rice and the little amount of pork shoulder that was included was 90% fat. Definitely not worth $17. $36 worth of food that really wasn't very good and I'm still hungry. Over priced and extremely small portions. I won't be ordering from DZO again.

Stopped there right after a comedy show at 9:44pm when they close at 10pm, and it was one single minute before the kitchen closed, but they took our to go order anyway, and then the bar staff continued to engage with us to make the wait time go so much faster! Great atmosphere, fantastic staff, will definitely be back! The food was delicious ( I ordered the Bibimbap) but the true hero was the Korean Fried Chicken, due to family spice differences we even ordered the sauces for dipping, so I could not even imagine how good they would be with sauces cooked onto the chicken. It was borderline euphoric.

Went here for my 22nd birthday thinking it would be a good time for the family, and it was, but definitely not worth it for the price. The waiter was nice but constantly lingering at our table for what felt like overly long and awkward experiences that I’ve never had at a restaurant before. He then informed us that there was a mandatory tip on top of the 300$ bill, and then had the audacity to ask for a bigger tip and stood over the table watching us pay the bill+tip. This was my first Korean bbq experience and while the cuts of meat were obviously high quality and very good, the concept of paying 350$ for a few steaks and couple lobster tails that I have to cook myself just doesn’t make sense to me. Yes that’s the concept of Korean bbq but why anyone would pay that much for what could be accomplished at your own house for an eighth of the price is still a mystery to me.

Our waiter was trying to talk to us the entire time making weird jokes and blurting in on family conversations. The food wasn’t bad but nowhere near the price tag and overall it was not a good experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dzo Korean Restaurant with my family when we were visiting from out-of-state. I was surprised to find a Korean restaurant in Iowa!
Dzo exceeded expectations on all fronts. From the moment we walked in, I felt at ease seeing other Asians eating there. That’s a great sign and I want expecting that at so! And the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for what turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The quality of the meat was outstanding. Every cut—from the Wagyu to marinated short ribs to the pork belly—was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. You can really tell that Dzo takes pride in sourcing high-quality meats, which is hard to find these days with soring food prices. I felt like the price at the end of the meal was well worth my hard earned money.
Their service was great! The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and refilled our drinks and the banchan promptly. The owner even introduced himself and chatted with us at the end of our meal.
Thanks, Dzo! I’ll definitely be returning someday when I’m back in Iowa.

Server barely kept attention or helped. Took forever to get food at our times tables and had only 4 plates for a party of 5.
