Stacy, we are sorry to hear you felt unsupported during such a difficult family-law matter. Every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and fully informed. Because we must protect client confidentiality, we cannot address private case details here, but we did already reach out to your current attorney to explain what was going on with your case when our representation ended. From this review, it appears you were horribly misinformed by someone after our representation ended. Your husband's attorney did NOT follow proper procedure and the orders you said you are trying to get reversed were eliminated months ago when we still handled your case. I'm not sure why your last attorney didn't handle this issue for you but, your current attorney definitely understands where we left off last spring and will undoubtedly do a good job helping get your case back on track. Hi there — thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry that your experience left you feeling unsupported during such a difficult chapter. I'm not sure how we could have communicated any faster than our standard operating procedures demand without charging you a lot more money but, I'll be sure to give other clients the opportunity to pay more for more communication. As it stands, clear communication, preparation, and strategic guidance are priorities for our firm which is why we try to respond to every text/email/call the same day or within 24 hours. I reviewed your case and it appears we did that almost every time (excluding holidays and weekends) but, clearly that wasn't enough.

As is public record in your case, and I've explained before, your former attorney is the attorney who settled a portion of your case via a MSA in mediation. We were not a part of that process and by the time you hired us, as also explained, the issues you really took issue with were already resolved. Personally, I would have never suggested signing off on the MSA you signed off on with your former attorney but, I can only handle the parts of the case I'm allowed to handle. If you settle something in mediation in Texas, it's going to become the Court's order regardless of how much buyer's remorse you might have the next day or further down the road.

Since your case has not been resolved, all we can do is wish you good luck moving forward and withdraw our representation based on your wishes as expressed in this review. You certainly can't change any of the agreements you reached with your former attorney in mediation but, I hope you find someone else who you can catch up to speed on your case before it's too late. Despite your allegation that we didn't show "assertive advocacy", the reality is that the true assertive advocacy portion of your case will be at the final trial to come and you should definitely find new counsel for that event.

Mr. Gomez, you hired us in August 2023, after your former attorney failed to do anything on your case for three years and stopped talking to you. We represented you for just over a year and took every action you asked us to take on your case, including having an attorney appointed to protect your child's best interests and getting a judge to order the drug testing of your ex. Unfortunately, it appears you're still upset that we couldn't do anything about the stuff that happened during the three years your former attorney failed to take action on your case. Absolutely nothing we do is shady and I hope that if you hire a new attorney, you don't accuse them of "shady service" when they try to explain what they can and can't do to help you and your child.

Cheryl, I'm sorry to hear you feel this way. We did represent you in a case last year but, we haven't had a call or email from you since last fall. I'm honestly a bit concerned you are mistaking us for another law firm you worked with as we certainly never "chatted it up" with opposing counsel in your case. We never want a client to feel unheard or unsupported but, it's tough to respond to allegations that are false and completely inaccurate. We will send you all your bills again so you can see where your money went. I hope you can figure out what attorney you were working with that was "chatting it up" and billing you to do so since it certainly wasn't us.

It's tough to respond to a review when we have no idea who is leaving the review - you could be a former client but, you could also just as easily be one of three former opposing parties with these same initials. If you are a former client, we're truly sorry to hear you weren't happy with how your divorce turned out.

Providing top-notch representation is our priority, and with decades of experience in our firm, we take that job very seriously. In the past week alone we've been able to leverage that experience in obtaining great results for clients in four different counties. In fact, just yesterday, we helped our client who barely put the money together to hire us ONE DAY EARLIER, win a hearing on almost every major issue against an ex who testified that she'd already paid her attorney $30k.

Like any small business, we love the good reviews and hate the bad but, we have not changed our business model and have no plans to do so anytime soon. We could do like other firms and start refusing to take on clients without $10k+ retainers, or with difficult cases, and someday might have to. However, for now at least, if someone comes to us with our required retainer and a problem we can assist with, we usually take their case. We litigate hard cases, often with one hand tied behind our back due to the finances of clients, and our experience in the courtroom is sometimes the only thing our clients have going for them. In law, you can only do so much to overcome bad facts but, it would be tough to find attorneys who do that better than ours.

W.B., if you are a former client, we are sorry the facts in your case didn't get you the result you wanted. If you sleep better at night blaming the result of your case on "inexperience" or your attorney working for "the other guy" we get it. We will continue taking on hard cases, giving our clients the advice they need (not necessarily what they want to hear), and fighting for them in court when that's what justice demands.
