It's not ideal to crawl into bed and find a big bed bug on your pillow. With some further checking, we found a lot of smaller bugs crawling around, so we had to go to iowa City to find another room late at night.

Outstanding motel. Check in was easy and clerk was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Beds were better than the top chain motels. Room service was done every day. Breakfast was cereal, rolls, microwave items. Which was also fine. Price was very reasonable. Overall, this motel is a Gem sitting in the very little town of Kalona, Iowa. The price and quality is hard to beat.
This was a lovely stay. The room was clean and the hotel quiet. It’s a little dated but it’s to be expected. The water in the shower was hot and had good pressure. The people who work there were very pleasant. The Amish cinnamon rolls were delicious! I really have no complaints about this stay.

Recently spent 3 nights at the Inn. What an awesome, quaint Inn. Service was great, very reasonably priced, clean and would be amiss if I didn’t mention the greatest cinnamon rolls ever. Already have another 3 night stay booked for October. If you’re in the area would suggest you check out Dutch Country Inn.

Stayed here for several days. Rooms are ok for the price. There was a loud intermittent thrumming noise which sent vibrations through the floor coming from a nearby room that woke me several times. But, the real disappointment was the 'continental' breakfast. Came down on day 2 to see sweet rolls that were dried out and well past their prime (see photo), at least 3 days old probably more. This was the same pan which they put out the day before. they should have been pitched after day one. That's poor hospitality

Room is nice enough but it's way too hot and I have to open the window and door to let the heat out. Thermostat says 76.. it's 50 outside and still 74 in here with the ac on 61 and the window open. 🥵 😓 😰
