I came to see doctor Ashfaq through a recommendation of my boss’s husband who is also his patient. I had seen previous doctors and was in a pretty bad shape from a previous surgery. Doctor Ashfaq relieved me in no time. He was supportive, understanding, caring, listened and explained everything to me. He and his assistant Mrs. Gen are extremely professional and you can tell they know how to care for their patients. Today I’m feeling much better after months of pain thanks to Doctor Ashaq who got me together faster than any other doctor did and he has restored my faith in excellent doctors who care about the wellbeing and health of their patients. I have had an ACL + meniscus surgery with Dr. Ashfaq. Everything went well. Doctor did an amazing job, and kept following up with me twice a week at early stage of the surgery. This was very helpful. The pain management protocol that Dr gave me was efficient. It’s been 3 months now post surgery, I regained my full range of motion and now I’m working to strengthen my muscles as a second stage. I recommend Dr. Ashfaq to any person having knee issues.

I recently had a complex ACL revision surgery performed by Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Koonchwala, and I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and expertise he demonstrated. The complexity of my case posed significant challenges, but Dr. Koonchwala handled it with remarkable diligence and precision. I am thankful to Allah that I found the right person at the right place.
In 2020, I had an ACL reconstruction that went very badly. After that surgery, I consulted many doctors, but no one was able to show the right direction. Some surgeons suggested that they needed to perform two surgeries: the first to remove the screw and the ACL graft that was put in at the wrong angle, and the second surgery six months later to insert a new ACL graft. Then I found Dr. Ashfaq at Burjeel Hospital Dubai, and he managed to do everything in a single surgery.
Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Koonchwala not only removed the screws and the misaligned ACL graft from my previous surgery but also repaired other issues that had occurred, including repairing my meniscus. His skill and dedication have made a significant difference in my healing process, which is progressing very smoothly.

I have known Dr. Ashfaq Konchwalla for many years and he did a very successful surgery on my Achilles tendon. Now it was time to replace my damaged knee and he was the only one I would trust doing a total knee replacement. 4 months after my surgery I started training for a 21 km hike in the Alps, my knee is pain free and getting stronger. Dr Ashfaq Konchwalla is so very different from many surgeons in Dubai, he is a doctor to help people and does his job because he loves what he is doing. He will take time to explain everything and reassure you! If you are looking for an orthopedic surgeon then Dr Ashfaq is definitely the one I would recommend!
Dr. Ashfaq says he doesn’t do magic but in fact he does. Did my knee surgery with him (tightening old acl implant; cleaning meniscus; most importantly - transplanting cartilages); also did my shoulder surgery. Great specialist, very experienced, attentive and kind.

Dr Ashfaq’s experience and professionalism has guided me through many years of knee issues resulting recently in a right knee replacement , on day 2 enabled to walk with a frame , day 3 with crutches and with a further 3 days of treatment and physio guidance was discharged with increased mobility . I have been seeing Dr. Ashfaq since 7 years.
My first meeting with him was in 2017 for my Left leg Ligament injury.
I was carrying the injury for 8 months meeting different doctors and not sure about what to do.
I read about Dr.Ashfaq and his expertise related to sports injuries and decided to meet him. The day I met him, I was sure and ready to go for the surgery.
2017 Dec - Was my 1st Surgery(Injured while playing Cricket - Freak accident). I recovered in 6months and was ready to hit the field and play in 8months.
2021 April - I injured my Right knee and Ligament & Meniscus while playing Badminton, immediately met him and went for surgery. Recovered in 6-8months and was back to sports.

I went to see Dr Konchwalla as I had a pre-existing injury to my elbow from Rugby and Martial Arts which reduced my movement and was causing me discomfort. I underwent surgery with him and am now in the rehabilitation phase. He went above and beyond with my procedure, choosing to fix all of my injuries as a post to the one I originally went to see him for. I am very pleased with the results as I almost back to a full range of movement which I haven’t had for over 10 years. The service through my stay and experience was excellent, I definitely recommend Dr Konchwalla for any orthopaedic/ sport surgery for anyone still training and or competing.
