Absolutely do not buy cars from Drive Time. Me and my mother bought a 2018 Toyota Tundra back in 2024. The day I bought it I told them that I am in over the road truck driver and would be gone for 30 days after the day I purchased it. So the 5-day return window would not benefit me. I asked him if there was anything at all wrong with the vehicle. They proceeded to tell me that these vehicles are fully gone over by certified mechanics. When I got back after my run I took the truck to get a wheel alignment done. The mechanic proceeded to tell me the truck was so corroded that nothing could be done I would literally have to replace every suspension component on the vehicle. That they would have to use torches and saws to cut the bolts. I proceeded to let drive time know where they told me there was nothing they could do about it. They told me to use the warranty that they sold me for $4,000. The warranty would not do nothing about it. They asked me to send in photos of this corrosion that the mechanic was talking about. I sent in photos they proceeded to say it was just surface rust. Surface rust is minor rust on the surface of metal corrosion is not surface rust corrosion is when stuff is so rusted that it's pretty much welded together and falling apart. Three certified mechanics including the Toyota dealership all attested that it was corrosion yet they did not want to help at all. So they sold me a truck that in all reality was worth about 10 grand because of the corrosion for $30,000. On top of that I have to pay over 10 grand to get the suspension fully redone on it. Which I cannot afford because I'm paying $580 a month in payments on this truck. These places are scams. If they had told me that the truck was corroded which they are supposed to disclose if there is any rust or corrosion on the vehicle when they sell it to you, which they did not, I would have never bought it. Long story short do not trust Drive Time. And all they're going to do is reply to this with you had 5 days to return the vehicle after purchase. You can contact us if you have any concerns. I did not have 5 days to return the vehicle because as I stated in the beginning I am an over the road truck driver I bought the truck and left out the next day.
