The guy charged $1,750 to belitle me for 5 minutes and provide no value or help. Fahim is very condescending. He openly mocked me. He doesn't listen to you to try and find a solution for your pain and will repeatedly talk over you. I told the first 3 ppl in his office I had pain injections, but that was news to Fahim and he tried to make me feel dumb for not bringing it up sooner. My doctor said Fahim was good at helping patients find alternative solutions to surgery, but I completely disagree. Fahim accused me of the pain just being in my head. I came for help and him to share his knowledge, not be belittled.

I'm genuinely confused by this review. My records state that we talked about the source of your pain and how it might be different from what you had previously been told. We suggested that the problem may actually be the frequently overlooked diagnosis of Sacro-Iliac Joint problems--which is why your injections (in your back) thus far had NOT been helpful. Most patients are very appreciative when someone finally figures this out for them. At no point did we suggest it was "in your head." In fact, we ordered tests for you to further investigate this potential problem so you can get the treatment you actually need. I'm not sure when or how you felt belittled, and for that I'm genuinely sorry. Even if you don't come back to see us for your care, please let someone else evaluate for SacroIliac joint, because I think that's the source of your pain. More spine injections will not help (because that is not the problem). And, for the record, we were reimbursed approximately $140 for your care.
I'm writing this for my mom who asked me to because she didn't know how and she wanted people to know how wonderful Dr. Fahim is. She had a spinal fusion 15 years ago by another Dr and a recent fall caused her to injure her neck. She was taken by ambulance from our hometown 2 hours away to Beaumont Hospital. When we met with Dr. Fahim he was very kind and explained what he planned to do in a way that was easy to understand. He put both his patient and the family at ease. The surgery was a success. She has less pain now than even before she fell and reinjured her neck. I would not hesitate to refer him for his surgical and professional skills. Thank you Dr. Fahim for taking such good care of my mom.
I saw Dr. Fahim concerning an abnormal MRI result. He merely glanced at my MRI on his computer before stating that there was nothing wrong with my spine, itās perfectly fine, and that he sees patients with worse spines than mine everyday. I donāt doubt that he sees patients with worse spines, but when I asked about the abnormality noted, he immediately got arrogant and said that Radiologists donāt know what theyāre looking at, and he reads more of these than they will ever. I questioned further because my Doctor had concerns and sent me to him for a reason. He said that my Doctor could call him if he has concerns and they could discuss it personally. My Doctor isnāt me. Iām the patient, and I had concerns and was talking to him then, but instead of respectfully discussing with me, I was met with arrogance and attitude. I am now seeing a provider at U of M and have been found to need spine surgery, so so much for that perfect spine. Worst interaction with a medical āprofessionalā I have ever had, and I work in medical, so that says something. I guess I just wasnāt worth more than 5 minutes of his precious time.
Did good as far as the surgery but when I gave him my insurance card I let the lady at the desk know not to charge my regular Insurance to make sure that she used the case number to charge so that way it would be paid through the insurance for the accident I was in they decided to charge my regular insurance and hold up the lawsuit now nobody else is getting paid with them I don't think that's fair I don't think that's right and when they're told not to use somebody's insurance they probably shouldn't do that needless to say now I can't even go back and get a check up after my surgery because I'm afraid to go to their office because it will prolong it even longer because they keep wanting to charge my insurance
Dr. Fahim takes the worry out of back surgery and gives you back your life. I cannot recommended him highly enough if you are experiencing back pain/spinal issues. He has extensive knowledge and experience to accurately diagnose whatās causing your issues and he then takes the least invasive approach necessary to provide lasting relief.
Dr Fahim has done both neck and back surgery on me. The neck was causing severe pain down my shoulder and arm. My lower back with vertebrae out of place was causing severe pain down my right leg. The surgeries fixed both problems. Hi highly recommend Dr Fahim for you for neck or back surgeries.

I had cervical disk replacement surgery with Dr. Fahim. I had fantastic results! Relief immediately and my healing process went smooth. 6 months post op I felt like I never had spine issues. Iām now 3 years out and still canāt tell I ever had any issues or surgery. However, warning he is super arrogant and bedside manner could be a little off putting but I guess we can only have so many amazing talents. His PA is super nice and great to work with.
