I have never had such a terrible experience with a dive company before.
Staff (both local and foreign) are clearly underpaid (which reflected in their attitude). Maybe the reason it is the cheapest place to dive in Komodo, but cheap in this case is definitely NOT GOOD.
I observed one of their instructors was taking students whilst using Nitrox way below the maximum operating depth allowed for that percentage of oxygen. Meaning, EXTREMELY UNSAFE, and can result in fatality (I know this because I am an instructor myself).
This place clearly doesn't care about safety and their customers, they are purely concerned about getting as many people through the door as possible to fill their greedy pockets.
The owner and manager had no idea about customer service or satisfaction, and replied very rudely to questions that many people in my group had.
They have a pool where they can make you comfortable with diving before going to the open waters. This is really helpful for first-time divers. Diving in Komodo is a must and a very unique experience. Our instructors Juan De Garay, Arjun and Alexis were very helpful and made the experience very memorable.

Superbe plongées avec Dragon Dive.
Personnel au top, que j’ai eu plaisir à retrouver à l’heure de l’apéro.
Règles de sécurité respectées. Le bateau est très confortable avec plusieurs espaces de détente, où on profite de la balade en mer nous menant d’un spot de plongée à l’autre. La nourriture est aussi excellente à bord.
Puis sous l’eau... c’est un véritable aquarium. Impossible de rater les mantas qui s’en donnent à cœur joie.

Excellent dive centre
After asking around we found that dragon dive offer the best price for a day of fun dives in Labuan Bajo.
The equipment was great and the boat had loads of space for lounging around in the sun, the food was excellent and the chef catered for our dietary requirements. The crew were friendly and extremely helpful while the dive guides (Miriam, Simon and Alexis) were great, Alexis in particular was great at spotting things large and small.
If you get the chance go to Batu Bolong!

Wir können die Tauchschule und das Hotel/Hostel Dragon dive Komodo sehr empfehlen! Das Personal und die Tauchlehrer*innen sind sehr engagiert und herzlich, sodass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Die Tauchtrips waren gut vorbereitet und haben in mir eine neue Leidenschaft geweckt!

Fantastische Tauch-Safari!
Wir können Dragon Dive nur empfehlen, da wir eine fantastische 5-Tages Safari hatten. Die Tauchschule ist sehr professional und legt sehr viel Wert auf Sicherheit, so dass wir uns immer wohl gefühlt haben. Noch bevor wir starteten, hatten wir das Glück, dass wir "upgegraded" wurden und anstatt des Mehrbettzimmers auf der Shenron ein eigenes Doppelzimmer mit Bad auf Yoshi bekommen haben.
Guillaume, unser Tauchguide, war top und ging auf jeden ein, falls es Probleme gab (beispielsweise Druckprobleme beim Abtauchen). Vor jedem Tauchgang gab es ein ausführliches Briefing mit detaillierten Zeichnungen des Tauchspots, so dass man immer genau wusste, was einen erwarten wird.
Sehr positiv fanden wir auch, dass wir spontan unsere Route geändert haben. Ursprünglich wollten wir einige Tage in Süd-Komodo tauchen. Da die Sichtverhältnisse im Süden aber sehr schlecht waren, wurde entschieden, zurück nach Central zu fahren und dort zu tauchen. Eine sehr gute Entscheidung!
Alles in allem eine fantastische Woche! Sehr leckeres Essen, eine tolle Crew, die einem immer geholfen hat, und ein unglaublich schönes Tauch-Revier. Gerne kommen wir wieder!
We dived three times with Simon and had an amazing time!! We got to chose where we went as it was low season! Dived the famous Batu Bolong, did such a fun drift dive that ended with Manta rays and saw the most beautiful coral.
We spent the whole day out and the boat trip there and back is part of the experience... Beautiful sunshine over the islands. Amazing scenery!
Simon was super chilled, really friendly and we were really grateful to dive with me. The rest of the team and crew are also lovely.
Also, heads up. We went to 9 different dive shops and Dragon Dive best everyone on price by 100,000 to 500,000 IDR!

Un super moment ! Juan notre instructeur était patient et à l’écoute ! il a emmené mon père et moi même en plongées (3 dans la journées) c’était la première fois pour mon père qui a fait un baptême et c’était tout simplement inoubliable ! Juan a vite compris que mon père était comme un gosse sous l’eau et à pris le temps de chercher et de lui montrer de nombreuses espèces ... Requins, tortues et surtout une dizaines de raies manta ! Moi même je n’avais jamais fais de si belles plongées ! Je recommande ce Dive Shop

Brilliant!
I had such a brilliant experience with the dive centre. Juan ended up coming down solo with me and he was so caring and considerate as my mask was playing up. He replaced it immediately with his and our dive was great. I managed to see a turtle really close up and a few sharks, not only this Juan filmed the experience on his own camera and it was magical. My bf loved Alex, so much praise on her behalf for getting him through his padi. Thank you for the wonderful memories and keep this level of customer service up it was the best dives i received in Indonesia. Xx
