Hi David, after checking our records from just after Christmas, We did price up an engine replacement for you as requested, and called you back, After pricing the job for you it was left with you to contact us if you wanted us to carry out the work. Unlike some garages, we are not in the business of pressurising our customers decisions. Your 3 star rating is contrary to our business beliefs and efforts, and merely reflects our Non pressured approach (which customers usually prefer?) We specialise in large jobs such as the engine replacement you required and would not deliberately ignore a chance for us to show our quality levels. If you still need the replacement engine, we can revert to the price quoted, please contact me either personally at our contact address, by email, Text Message, What’s App or Phone Call.

Although the work required to your Mondeo was not financially viable, we did as you have said price the work required, talk you through the repair process and then gave you time to to make your own decision. After your decision to not have the car repaired we then managed to arrange the sale of your car to a third party for an amount that was discussed with you and that you were happy with. As a gesture we also reversed the investigation charge so you didn’t have to pay a penny to us as this was an unforeseen inconvenience to you that we sympathised with. Hi Matthew, thank you for using DP Auto Repairs as we celebrate over 15 years of offering an alternative to Ford Main Dealers. We are currently replacing Eco- Boost engine wet belts on almost a daily basis not only for our customers but for other garages too due to their complexity and special tool requirements. All of these wet belt replacements are given an oil flush and oil and filter change with genuine parts after the repair and the Engine bay Steam cleaned as standard. Hi Kate, yes in your case you were incorrectly advised by another garage that you needed your wet belt replaced. After checking your engine type on our Ford Dealer Site we could see your engine had a completely different set up, therefore not requiring such expense. Thank you Aaron, all of our Servicing on Ford Vehicles are carried out Using Ford Genuine parts and all engines have an oil flush / performance restorer as standard.
