I always enjoy coming here for a big meal with a group. The food is excellent. The service could be improved as it’s a bit slow, but they make up for it with everything else.

I absolutely love Dons and have been going there for years. My absolute favorite is a reasonably priced bibimbop at lunch time, which I've done with colleagues dozens of times. I also love to bring groups for dinner at the BBQ tables, including early evening when it is more a family or date dynamic and later on after an evening out. Their meats are among the best in Koreatown, their prices are reasonable relative to the area, their servers are friendly and welcoming to a crowd that includes everyone from bbq afficionados and Korean Americans to tourists and families trying something new. This is not a "scene" place like some other ktown joints, nor an extraordinary view or anything like that, just a fantastic stalwart for great food and solid service when you want a great meal.

Have to say overall, very pleasantly surprised with this place. It’s not cheap, but the meats are good and the service was amazing. It wasn’t very busy when we visited, but still - food came out fresh and fast. They grill for you, and for us, they were fast and we were never waiting without food. Bonus is, it seems relatively easy to get a reservation here

Some friends brought us to dinner here. It was an amazing experience. The food was incredible & the service was great also. We had pork dumplings & shrimp shumae for appetizers. For dinner we had the marinated chicken & the ribeye. Both meats were delicious. The chicken literally melted in your mouth.

I had a reservation at 8:30 for 6 people. Honestly I have been here many times and recommend my friends and family here. The service isn’t the best but I will say the food and quality of meat is not bad for the price. Though I am very sad to say this is my last time there because I feel the the workers do not respect there customer. I always believe in giving 20% tip or more. I do understand that party with 6 or more tip will be included so no problem but when you write on the paper 18% then you should charge 18% not more. I calculated the bill with the subtotal and i saw they put more. I feel like I got scammed and disrespected. That is terrible that you guy do this and I am disgusted. I still payed the 20% because I’m not cheap but I am very disappointed for even introducing this place to my friends for my wife’s birthday. I told the waiter and she even curse under her breath like I don’t understand Korean. I will never recommend this place again. PLEASE BE AWARE OF TIP SCAM!

The confusion was caused by a new staff member’s mistake, and although there was absolutely no bad intention, we sincerely apologize for how it came across. Our captain also apologized to you at the time, but we understand that the situation still felt disappointing.

Regarding what happened at the table, we want to assure you that our team would never use disrespectful language toward any guest. It seems there was a misunderstanding, and if anything made you feel that way, we are deeply sorry. That’s not acceptable to us, and we do not tolerate such behavior.

We saw this place highly recommended, but were kind of disappointed by service. We saw other tables being treated better than us. For example, no rice was served, whereas others were given rice. We had to ask for individual bowls for the soup, and then they didn’t serve the soup, whereas others were served. Overall we had the feeling we were unwelcomed and rushed in a passive-aggressive way. We were four people with a reservation, showed up early, and spent close to $300 on food, and gratuity was included in the bill. I was trying to show my in-laws a good time in my home city, and this was a damper on their trip from abroad. We don’t know what we did to deserve this treatment. While we can’t be certain, we felt that rac1sm was a factor. We advise this business to give their diverse crowd the same attention and care as their lighter crowd.

Food was good, KBBQ cooking staff was efficient, environment was nice, the main issue is that a staff member heckled us for a higher tip not once, but TWICE. By the second time we had to explain it was because they forgot our drinks and one of our orders and we had to remind the staff. This is unacceptable behavior for a restaurant charging $300+ for a table.

My first time at a Korean bbq that they cook for you. Food was good but service was too fast. I wanted to relax and eat at a bbq style pace. Price is exaggerated too. Paid 500US for 3. Was not in the restaurant for more than an hour!
