I bought some landscaping rocks, and checked out the pavers, soil and mulch. Prices are competitive and the range was great. Even though I was a bit unsure on how to pick the rocks I needed, the staff were really helpful and patient. As others have said, they helped me load my car too, which was awesome. Will be back to get soil and mulch!

Today l came with my trailer to get 1 tonne of firewood.On their website its advertised for $480.But when l wanted to pay guy at desk not very interested said $510??? I asked why $30 fuel excise.But l am picking it up ??? Donnelly's you lost a customer and l am a tardie so word is going to get around.Put correct charge on your site to let customers know.

We advertise on the first page of our website about having to implement a fuel levy. It's also shown if you purchase online. It's also mentioned in store when you make a purchase so that every customer on every purchase is fully aware of the temporary levy.
The levy covers the increased cost of goods and transport to get the garden supplies to our yard and then reload and sell to you. The only way around a temporary levy is to permanently increase our prices which is not what we're trying to do. We're looking forward to the day we do not need to charge a levy however fuel and transport costs are a huge percentage of our cost of goods which without a levy to try to recover some costs we simply wouldn't be open to continue trading in the current climate.
I understand you don't wish to pay a fuel levy, but to leave a one star review on a small family business that has been nothing but open and honest in giving you information on all of our charges when making a purchase is pretty poor on your behalf.

After driving 45min for a good price on a ton of wood to then be charged a $32.45 fule levy is bull shit. Your website says $480 per ton, the sign on the corner says $480, false advertising a ton of wood from Donnelly’s is $512.45.

I also mentioned the fuel levy to you when I took your order as you asked how much the wood was. Unfortunately it is a current necessity due to all of our products being transported by heavy vehicle to our site throughout the state and also the increased cost of material manufacture as all of these pieces of equipment run on diesel which affects the cost price.

I've placed quite a lot of orders recently from topdressing sand for doing a light reno on my lawn through to completely ripping out and landscaping by backyard (soil, edging, turf, mulch, etc...)
The team are always friendly and helpful and the drivers know how to get the trucks into tight spaces.

I got this for premium garden soil and wasn't happy with it. I was used to seeing more manuer rich black colour soil. So I gave a 2 star review. I appreciate the response from the seller and their service was good. So changing it to a 4 star.

Your main issues over the phone were that you thought the product would look darker in appearance and you also weren't happy with some clumpiness. As we discussed over the phone the clumpiness is the mushroom compost where its had some moisture it can stick together. Our premium soil is a great product and there is nothing wrong here, your garden will do great with it.
