Deceitful and Unprofessional staff a Dollar Dubai I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dollar Car Rental Dubai, particularly due to the deceitful and unprofessional behavior of the account manager named Loveness, handling my long-term lease. She twisted my words to serve her own interests, making it appear as if I was at fault. This not only led to a frustrating experience with the car itself but also with the company as a whole. Despite renting from Dollar for nearly a year, the treatment I received was unacceptable. The account manager failed to give the correct information to management as we discussed over the phone, instead altering the terms to suit her own narrative. Such dishonesty and lack of integrity in customer service are unacceptable. Dollar treats customers like just another number, with no regard for value or satisfaction. I would strongly advise against renting from this company, as the experience was nothing short of terrible.

I reserved a gas vehicle from Dollar at the ******************. They only had 2 vehicles left when I arrived at night, both were EVs. I had to accept an EV, and was told it would get at least 175 miles. My destination was about 20 miles away and the car barely made it, because it turned out that it had never been charged. Also, there was garbage in the trunk so it hadn't been cleaned. I spent 3 hours the next morning trying to get someone from Dollar who could advise or help (the counter staff had supplied a list of 6 or 7 approved recharging locations, none of which were near me). After endless menus of options and automated responses along with some actual people but ***** who could make any suggestions or help in this situation, I drove the car partway to the airport, got to a shopping mall recharging station, had to get a certain app on my phone in order to be able to do the recharge, and successfully recharged enough to limp back to the airport and exchange for a gas vehicle. The main issue here is that Dollar's phone labyrinth is broken or (more likely) deliberately impenetrable. The other issue is that reserving a vehicle and getting a vehicle are entirely different things. Plus, they neglected to clean/charge the car.

This particular location was working with a difficult situation of no cars for everyone who reserved for Dec 26. We booked a Managers Special deal which apparently means "electric". We were traveling across states but took what we could get after 3 hours. First car had a mechanical issue and wouldn't connect to chargers. Dollar sent us to another location just before closing. They refused to help when it would take them a few minutes over closing. Had to backtrack to Sacramento airport the next morning. Lost a prepaid hotel night and full day of travel. Replaced with same model and range couldn't get us where we needed to go. Ended up returning the car early and starting over with Avis. Frustration, added expense and lost experiences. Lesson learned.

Terrible Experience with Overcharging and Poor Customer Service at Dollar Car. I recently rented a car from Dollar Car Rental at Los Angeles Airport, and I must say this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a car rental company. I feel compelled to share my story so others can avoid going through the same ordeal. 1. Initial Rental Chaos: Upon arriving at the rental location, I was met with a ridiculously long line of over 50-60 people. To make matters worse, there were only two staff members handling the entire crowd. The process was disorganized, chaotic, and far from professional. It was a terrible start to my rental experience. 2. Overcharging Nightmare: After returning the car as scheduled, I was horrified to find that my credit card was being charged daily without explanation. Despite having already returned the car, I was hit with a mysterious $350 charge in addition to the daily charges, which continued to pile up for days. No one from the company could provide me with an explanation for these charges. The financial burden this caused was devastating—I was not only deprived of my $200 deposit, but I was also forced to deal with repeated unexplained withdrawals from my account. The situation became so dire that I had to freeze my credit card and report the charges as fraudulent to stop this nightmare from continuing. 3. Nonexistent Customer Support: Their customer service was an absolute joke. The contact numbers provided were either unhelpful or routed me to an automated system that didn’t allow me to speak with a live agent. The only live agent I could reach was for roadside assistance, who admitted they couldn’t help but promised to escalate the issue. Despite this, the charges continued. 4. Forced to Freeze My Card: The daily charges didn’t stop, and I eventually had to freeze my card, report the charges as fraudulent, and get a new card issued to prevent further unauthorized charges. This entire process was stressful and time-consuming. 5. Unresolved Issues and Zero Accountability: To this day, I have not received my $200 deposit back, nor has Dollar Car Rental provided any explanation for the overcharges. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service is appalling. 6. Decent Car, Horrible Service: While the car itself was in good condition, the overall service was so horrendous that I cannot recommend this company to anyone. The stress and financial impact they caused far outweigh any benefits of renting from them. Conclusion: Avoid Dollar Car Rental at all costs! Their service is disorganized, their customer support is nonexistent, and their billing practices are fraudulent. I have never experienced such an unprofessional and predatory company in my life. I will never rent from them again, and I strongly advise others to do the same. Rating: 0/5 stars.

5 stars for agent Hanny at the LAX Dollar counter. There was a mistake on my car charges, I didn't notice till I got to the terminal. I had enough time (but not a lot) before my flight to get back to the Dollar counter. Hanny was very thorough and went above and beyond to investigate it quickly and get it fixed in time for me to get back to the Terminal and on with my flight. He didn't have to do it - he could have kicked me to a 1-800 number but I am so appreciative that ye took the time and care enough to make my experience smoother. Thank you Hanny and LAX Dollar! 5 star service for sure

I rented a car in Philly and received 2 cashless toll charges, one for 15 dollars and one for 11 dollars, I received these bills 2 months after the rental. The woman at the counter told me not to worry about tolls, so now am being charged for. I do not recommend this company. They will charge fees for tolls. The amount of the tolls were 1 dollar each and I was charged 27 dollars for tolls and fees.

They are a very dishonest company and will charge for anything. I rented a vehicle in Florida on 12-10-2024 and returned it on 12-16-2024. I rented it through my club freedom account and bought the insurance through club freedom. Upon checking in gave them the reservation number and they said they needed a credit card on file for the car to be released understanding. I told them I did not want any of the extra stuff. Next thing I know I get a credit card statement double charging me. Called them and they charged me for extra days and for gas charges and insurance total came out to be almost 500.00. They took some of the charges off but still owed about 150.00 told me to submit the gas receipts and I could get money back, because I left the car with a full tank of gas. Submitted it and they denied it saying it’s not refundable. I never signed any contracts with them so I guess now I am going to have to dispute it on with my credit card company. Dollar car rental are scammers and are dishonest. Never rent from them.

I booked a flight, and rental through Expedia.ca on July 26. The extra from the flights to adding a car rental was about $850-900 which was including taxes and fees for 8 days. When I checked in Nov 05 their computers were down and they did paperwork form manually. Next day (about 26 hours later), the associate that checked me in phoned me and explained that he forgot to take my credit card information for a security deposit only. (Were Peter's words). I get back from my holiday to find out that Dollar rental has charged my card $1085.19. The car was returned full of gas, to the same location as picked up, early. Should be NO extra fees. They have double billed me, and are refusing to return my money even after they admitted that the rental was covered through the 3rd party Expedia

I had a terrible experience picking up my rental car on Friday, December 13, around 3pm at the Dollar Rental Service at MCO airport. The attendant, an older man with a thick accent, was extremely pushy and predatory in his approach, constantly trying to upsell me on unnecessary extras. He used misleading information about Florida laws and tolls to pressure me into paying for additional services I didn’t need. It got so bad that I had to threaten to cancel my entire reservation before he finally relented and allowed me to proceed without the extra charges. The whole experience felt manipulative and dishonest. I expect transparency and respect when renting a car, not high-pressure sales tactics. This experience left a very bad impression, and I will not be using Dollar Rental Service again. I recommend others be cautious when dealing with this location to avoid being taken advantage of.

Rented a car here for a wedding over the weekend and rental experience was okay. Don't recall anything particularly good or bad from the experience.

They tell you one thing at the counter and when they mess it up and can't fix it you're just told "sorry for the inconvenience." You can't even talk to someone on the phone to try and get things fixed, you have to send in a form through their website (sometimes more than once) for them to get back to you weeks later. Not doing that again.

Dollar is flat out a dishonest company. I just rented a vehicle in Boston for 3 days which was $136. The vehicle did not have a full tank when I picked it up so I took a picture of the dash showing 335 miles remaining in the tank. I drove it for 3 days and then returned it with 360 miles remaining. Upon returning they charged me for returning the vehicle at 88% stating that it was 100% at pickup. They charged me $22 extra for 2 gallons of gas as well as a parking charge of roughly $12 with a final charge of $165. So they fraudulently added $29 to my rental. I sent a complaint but have heard nothing back. I will not book anything from ************** in the future and will not do business with Dollar ever again. They are criminals. No way to talk with anyone so they simply steal your money on up charges which are not accurate which they hope customers will simply give up and let them keep what they stole. I, however will find ways to make Dollar pay one way or another which will cost them far more than the $29 they stole from me in future lost business from many more people than just myself. I will also antagonize Dollar managers at all airport locations & warn every person waiting for a car by handing them a flyer advising them exactly what they must be on guard for with their Dollar rental to protect themselves from being overcharged. Dollar Overcharge Warning Flyer 1) Document tank level with lot attendant before leaving facility. (If not full get a signature to confirm this or get them to give you a vehicle which is full) 2) Take picture of fuel gauge & odometer to prove the mileage on the vehicle at both pick & upon return. Do not assume they will get it right upon return. They know you can’t contact them once you leave. 3) Take video with phone around entire outside of vehicle so you are not charged for previous damage on the vehicle. 4) Closely verify emailed or texted receipt to insure there are not additional charges you did not authorize.

I booked a rental car for pick up at Rochester Airport via the Economybookings.com website. I got a price lock deal. The deal was that I can get any salon car and I was ok about that. But when I reached there, I was told that I have to take the EV. I refused to accept that car as no where in the deal it was mentioned that the car will be an EV. I have to now return the car fully charged. Since I was not comfortable doing that, I was made to wait for 45 mins until they could arrange for a non EV car. I finally got one, but was charged an extra $72 for changing the car option. But I did not sign up for an EV in the first place..... Why should I be penalized? I could have gone for any other vehicle of my choice without going for the deal price as I ended up paying more in total. Worst experience....will never go for dollar again.

I rented a vehicle today (11/30/24), and it has been the worse experience ever! I get on the road and 30 minutes in the wheel or something is making a noise. I call to report it and the lady (******) was very rude. I tried yo resolve the matter and she responded by saying, "girl bye"! I lost it after that because what gives you the right to disrespect a paying customer who called in to report a mechanical issue with your company car!!! I called back three times and she hung up the phone on me. I will never rent a vehicle from them again. Maybe Dollar Rental Car can hire more respectful, educated and qualified people to be the face of their company! I had too pick a star rating but it's zero!!

I booked the reservation and paid for the rental but as my father was going to be the driver he had to provide his credit card during check in. He was then charged an additional $285.53 in additional services. We declined insurance to use his own but was charged for loss/damage, construction, and roadside assistance charges. The Dollar employee never said that any of that was being added. He recommended we use their fuel as it was cheaper per gallon to which we were charged $50.03 immediately, car doesn't even hold that much gas. Don't use this company, they are not upfront about their costs and add on charges without explanation or consent!
