This had been a great review. Unfortunately I have to amend it. Although I was initially please with the company & its contractors who installed the metal building, the 1st storm that blew through (60 mph winds) took off one of the end caps on the end of the building. This, in itself was not necessarily terrible although it only blew off because the installers did NOT put screws on the end that separated and took the rest of it off, but the follow-up to this has been absolutely ridiculous. First of all, the building is supposed to be rated for hurricane strength winds--obviously it is NOT. Second of all, after asking Discover Buildings to have its crew come out and repair the building, I have gotten the run-around from the install crew for a week. I have been told TWICE they would be out "tomorrow" and right now, it is the 3rd time I have been told they would be out "this morning." Not here. Basically the building is okay but now I have to question whether my $3500 got me a building that will blow over with the first hurricane that comes through which, being Florida, is almost certain to happen. Basically, now that they have my money, apparently I am just a chump. That's fine, I will go buy a tall enough ladder and fix it myself. Decide for yourself if you want to be treated like a chump or a paying customer.

One year later we are got our carport and its nice. My biggest complaint is we gave a deposit to have a building installed. We had to change the plan so that is on us 100%. However, we could only use a portion of our deposit ($604) for the revised carport. Keep in mind we cancelled the original fairly quickly no production had started. They still have $1,810.68 of our deposit so be aware! We had to write a check for $3416.38 for our carport that was installed 10/21/2025 and they are sitting on $1810.68. I find that to be poor business.

Zero customer service!! Husband walked in at 930 am on Friday (July 18) and saw one employee, who also looked at my husband when he walked in. NO WORDS. He just sat there in his *open* office, eating his burrito; didn’t say “I’ll be right there” or anything; just ignored my husband. So after 5 mins, we just left. You missed a huge sale.. guess y’all should worry about customers instead of burritos.

I recently purchased one of your carports. It is both attractive and well built. The installation procedures was professional. I look forward to using your product for many years to come. EDIT: This is my first Google review. I don’t write reviews online but was forced to give Discovery Buildings a five star review under threat of them keeping my deposit. I ordered a carport and sent a picture of my deposit check ($717.60). I informed the salesman, Christian that I didn’t need a permit to erect a building on our property but Carolina Carports told me they wouldn’t put one up without permission from my county so I ordered a building from Affordable Sheds in Melbourne, Florida who wouldn’t require county permission. Discovery Buildings wouldn’t return my deposit. I spoke with the owner, Blake and she said she would give me credit if I bought another building from them, that she would use a different manufacturer that wouldn’t require a permit. I ordered a smaller building. The new deposit was $301.56. They would only give me my final $416.04 if I wrote a five star Google review for them. Before my order, I spoke with Blake and Christian on the phone at length and mentioned my trepidation after reading the negative reviews but she assured me that I would not have problems with her company. I am happy with my building but felt like I was fighting every step of the way to get my deposit money back.

This company is a big SCAM! They asked for a copy of the check we would send them to hold our order. I am located in SC they are in FL. As soon as we scanned a copy of our check and sent it over via email, this company took this copy of our check and was able to cash it the day we sent it over. We did not know this company was able to withdraw funds from our account through a copy of a check. We were still conducting business, waiting on the process of finalizing and then canceled three months later because their product did not meet the standards for SC through the county. We asked for a refund once we found out a scanned copy of our check got cashed. We never mailed them our original check to actually endorse the back to cash. How do thieves get away with this? Well, they are messing with the wrong people!! Over $2,400.00 of our monies were stolen from this fraudulent company.

Do not do business with these people. Do NOT send them a scanned copy of a check as they will cash it, which is illegal. And they will NOT refund your money if you change your mind. I can't stress strongly enough to stay as far away from this illegitimate business as possible. They are only there to take your money.

Do not recommend. Does not stand behind contract- will tell you "That's Carolina Carports, not me" 6 weeks after signing still no building. 3 cancelled install appoints. Bought a shed from a competitor down the road in Cocoa and 12 days later my building is in. Don't be fooled by roadside displays. Refused refunding money.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. I ordered a barn and gave a deposit in December 2020. Here is is almost a year later and I still don't have a barn. I tried contacting them several times. Seems the person that handled my account was fired for having issues and no one else followed up. Now I told them I don't even want this barn that is still not ready and they will NOT return my deposit. So at this point I really would rather take the loss than actually get (if ever) this barn. I don't know about the quality of this but the customer service and experience with this company is a major failure. I would suggest that you look elsewhere and not attempt to even deal with this company.

We have been working to provide Ms. Bonnette with a barn building ...despite the year's supply chain and personnel issues and are
now just waiting for pictures of her marked building location...then
the building will be scheduled for delivery. Our contract states no
refunds, this applies to customers who have decided not to take
delivery of a building.

Purchased a building in Feb 2021 put a decent size deposit 2800 and some change waited for months it kept getting postponed then there company they use unexpectedly cancelled are building discovery buildings first agreed to refund the deposit then changed there minds I have video of us being cursed at and treated horribly by Done Tate buyer beware please do your research

I ordered a building back in January and paid the $3500 deposit to Discovery Buildings. Its been over 8 months and now Carports Anywhere doesn't have the material available and told me to find another company to purchase a building from. Since I handed the deposit to Discovery Buildings the manufacture will not refund my deposit. Now I am waiting to hear a response whether my deposit will be returned or not. Ive spent over $20,000 on engineered drawings, permits, concrete, equipment, and utilities so far to be told that I'm not getting a building and to go find another company. My attorney will be getting involved!

I wish I could say I recommend Discovery Buildings, but simply cannot. Building timeline was way off. Also, after I couldn't get a hold of my original salesman, I tried to work with Don. I wasn't too impressed with him, telling me he did not even know if my sales guy even worked there anymore. Not to mention that any time you call him, it sounded like you are were on speaker phone at the bottom of the Ocean. I wish I could recommend another company, I know there are other shed/building companies in the Cocoa/Titusville areas. All I can say is, stay away from this one. I gave 2-stars for my initial contact with the company, but it was downhill after they got my money.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Told me 4-6 weeks for installation after the site was ready. Turned into 16 weeks after the permit number was “lost” somewhere between them and CCI. Helpful at first but ZERO communication along the way. I had to call CCI myself to solve these problems. Not really sure what I paid them to do. They are unethically taking money knowing they can’t fulfill the order in the prescribed time frame. They pulled the standard COVID excuse which I’m super tired of hearing.
