My photo shoot with Sarah was amazing. It was something I had never considered doing and I couldn’t be more grateful that I did! I participated in the 40 over 40 challenge and received hair and makeup before the shoot. I challenged myself to wear out of the box clothes that made me feel strong and sexy. Sarah was so good at helping me pose and feel comfortable. Truth be told at the beginning of the shoot I was feeling awkward and for 2 seconds wondered what I was doing. Sarah was comforting and fun the whole time and my anxiety eased. Then Sarah showed me the unedited photographs that she took and I cried. I felt so beautiful and strong. It was so good to see myself that way! Life after 40 starts to look and feel different and I wanted to capture these moments today- not when I lose 20 lbs or when I met some unrealistic goal of the future but now. The life I am living now is worth celebrating and Sarah helped me capture this moment in time with photos I know I will love forever and be so glad to have.

WOW!! AMAZING!! I can’t shout it louder (actually I could…lol), but I can’t say it enough how absolutely phenomenal my session was with Sarah. From connecting with her with the “40 Over 40” special for the consultation, to my actual photoshoot, including my styling with Ashley, I LOVED every single second that I spent at Desired Focus Photography! We took so many photos that it was hard for me to select just a handful for my package. We laughed at the fact that I wanted all of them. I felt so beautiful and truly, there were only just a few that we felt did not make the cut. The time spent was worth every single moment. Moreover, as we worked to pick my main/final photos, Sarah kindly asked of there were any areas I wanted her to touch up. I shared with her that I did not because I love every flaw and unique quality that God gave me and “this is me!” 💜

Sarah was friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and professional from the beginning. She took absolutely stunning pictures of my daughter dancing first, and then we knew we wanted her to do senior pictures too. They turned out so beautiful. Exactly what we hoped for. Sarah had a senior album, many prints, and several pieces of wall art made from the sessions and we love them all. She even placed and installed the art in our home! They will be enjoyed and cherished for the rest of our lives. Sarah also did much needed new head shots for me for my writing projects and they are amazing and add so much to my book jackets, bios, and web site! We highly recommend Sarah and Desired Focus!

Sarah Henderson is phenomenal! She flew to Colorado to photograph me to celebrate my 50th birthday with a portrait session!
