After doing extensive research on porcelain veneers i found this clinic at a competitive price. Did 1.5 hours of driving to visit for a new patient appointment which is apparently required to get veneers, then almost a week later i had to chase the quote. The price of the veneers had gone from £1950 for 4 at the time of my appointment to £850 plus per tooth. As a result of their website prices being false i was refunded the new patient appointment cost, but i had to ask them for this, it wasnt offered freely. I am confident had i not got in touch i would have heard nothing from them despite waiting around for a quote! Apparently it was my mention of the prices on their website to the dentist that prompted them to change it. Extremely disappointed by the false advertising, money wasted on petrol & the time wasted getting there and back.
The dentist assistant also wanted to make it very clear (without saying anything directly) that i was late for my appointment (7 minutes due to numerous road and junction closures on the motorway). I felt very uncomfortable.
Overall a completely stressful experience and im now wondering what the law is around honouring prices advertised.
They were more than polite around refunding my new patient appointment cost (only when i asked, as mentioned) but the false advertising, the ringing me on the dot of the appointment before i was even 1 minute late, and the time/ money i wasted on the journey unfortunately does not allow me to gives anymore stars.
An unprofessional and rather disappointing experience all around.
UPDATE: Cost was NOT listed as “from” as per photo attached. Secondly, even if it was you were still unable to offer a porcelain veneer price at the “from” price so your point is completely invalid!
Secondly, i only had an initial appointment in order to get porcelain veneers which i made very clear, the veneers you drastically mis-advertised, so this isnt a “goodwill gesture”, its actually the least you should have done and you kept quiet until i chased and asked. Awful!
