An incredible experience. I stayed at Bag End, and as a huge LOTR fan, I was blown away. From the signs on approach, to Gandalf's cart, and last but not least - the hobbit hole! Ian and Heather were super helpful. We had trouble lighting the fire, and they were happy to help even though it was 7pm. The bed was super comfy, and was lovely with the animals at the farm; the Rheas gave us a good laugh! Highly recommend this to everyone considering it. Magical. 🤍

Tree House Perfection A fabulous, quirky, peaceful high end glamping tree house visit that exceeded expectations! It was just perfect, cosy despite snow on the ground when we arrived and water being off - Ian and Heather did all they could to ensure we were comfortable. We can’t wait to try the other wee howfs - we are addicted already. Ample wood for fire; immaculate all over the tree house; the loo cabin was spotless; everything you need for an outstanding romantic get away. We loved all the wee touches including wooden mice at every turn. My partner is a joiner and gave the wood house 10/10 for craftsmanship and experience!

The most incredible experience we have ever had - THIS is the real deal for any Hobbit or LOTR fans! So many little details (including music as we entered "the shire") which just brought utter joy to these two geeks. We stayed for two nights but could have lived here happily for a lot longer as we had everything we needed from a wee but well thought kitchen, massive bath with warm running water and a lovely comfy bed. As it was Halloween, we spent most of our time by the fire at night listening to ghost stories together - it was the perfect atmosphere! We also loved speaking with animals around the farm who are all clearly well loved, socialised and looked after. The whole experience was an absolute delight and if you're looking to "go on an adventure" then you simply look no further!

My husband was blown away with his birthday surprise and said that a lifetime ambition has been ticked off his bucket list as he got to live like a hobbit in a real hobbit house. Wir waren im Wee Tree Howf untergebracht. Ein wunderbares und erstaunlich geräumiges Gebäude mit allem, was man braucht: Sitzmöglichkeiten auf Terrasse und Balkon, um bei schönem Wetter die Aussicht zu genießen, und eine Badewanne und einen Holzofen, wenn es regnet und man es sich drinnen gemütlich machen möchte.

Utterly bonkers, totally amazing ! We stayed in the Green Burrow, truly wonderful environment, away from it all but still in easy reach of civilisation, my wife did not know where we were staying and the look on her face when we got to our little home for two nights was something special. Thank you for creating this amazing place - strongly recommended for a unique experience - we'll be back ............. ps - eggs from the Wee Shop are a must try item !

Craighead Howf is a lovely place to stay. The burrow where I stayed was amazing and the other accomodations also looked fantastic. The burrow was charming and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing vacation. It's quiet and peaceful, with beautiful countryside nearby. The owners instructions made everything easy and the honesty shop was a godsend and also had some nice trinkets

Second stay at this accommodation and was just as good as the first time. Stayed in the wee howf treehouse and it was a great experience. Very quirky and fun, but warm and homely feeling. Felt like there were a lot of rules to follow, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. There are around 5 different howfs to stay in so will absolutely be back to try the rest in the future

Perfect place to get away and relax What a place!! Lovely part of Scotland. It was our anniversary weekend. We stayed in the Summer Howf and could not have asked for more. The hot tub was lovely and no problems collecting keys etc, we just followed the instructions on the email and the notice board. Heather even offered to light our stove, as we were rubbish at keeping it going. There is a well stocked honesty shop. Bearing in mind this is someone's home we are using, we had privacy,it was quiet and 100% worth the price, we will hopefully be back.

Horrible Experience! Not worth a pennie! After having to email where to collect our keys after arriving about 7ish we finally found the keys ourself with no help and no reply to our email ! Also we arrived at our accommodation and paid extra for the hot tub which wasn’t even ready with logs 🪵 so couldn’t even go in it! Also the mattress on the bed was terrible it was so uncomfortable to lie on and was awake all night sore and got up the next day with my partner having a sore neck and the bottom of my back was in agony! It was like sleeping on a floor for the night! The so called toilet was something else. So after being offered an alternative accommodation and told the toilet and shower was outside the new accommodation we hesitated and decided to leave ! It is definitely not worth the amount for this accommodation for what they are asking for it!! Also the owner is very rude and not willing to help! Please have a hard think before you book cause if you complain like ourselves and ask to be refunded it won’t happen! The owner was so rude and unhelpful in the end and didn’t understand our concerns and refused a refund because he wasn’t happy we left the property with so much complaints only because he said he hasn’t ever had complaints like it! All I will say is AVOID!! Save your money and go somewhere else!

Beautiful 'glamping' location with a variety of treehouses, hobbit houses and other Howfs. Some of the howfs have wood fired hot tubs. All the farm animals are friendly and lots of wildlife to see too.

We are staying in Muckle Howf. What a beautiful house and location! It is brilliantly designed, for everyone's comfort. We're really enjoying the hot tub. Within 2 days we were so relaxed it felt as though we'd already been on holiday for a week! Great base for day trips to Dunblane, Stirling, Callander, Glasgow, Edinburgh. Lots of walks with different levels of challenge. Paddleboarding can be done in rivers and lochs near Callander. The site has a number of animals including Alpacas and pygmy goats.

A wonderful time was had in The Red Burrow glamping pod at Craighead Howf. Such an original idea to create something so unusual. The pod was luxury with everything you could possibly require. Wonderful views and the pleasure of seeing horses and other animals in the neighbouring fields was a bonus. Lovely place which we hope to return to again.

Bag end Howf Amazing hidden place, we chose the bag end howf (Hobbit). The site is big with other small howfs, animals and nature. Perfect for couples or with a friend. The howf was clean, with little easter eggs, everything we needed to cook, bed was comfortable. Had to get use to the toilet but we got the hang of it after a while. Loved the little honesty shop as well and not far from a little city by car f you want to get more groceries. It can get very cold even in summer so I was really glad to have the wood stove and two warm blankets! I absolutely recommend for an immersive break in nature and if you're a fan of the Hobbit!

A special couple of nights spent at Criaghead Howf 'bagend' hobit home, where we enjoyed sunny walks, sunset BBQs and night-time board games 🎲 A relaxing getaway that took our minds of work and allowed us to completely relax. Heather and Ian have thought of everything, we would highly recommend!
