Well organised self guided tour of Cornwall We recently rode the 16 day Cornwall and Scilly Isles tour. The tour was well organised by Cornish Cycle Tours with excellently prepared trip notes, maps both digital and hard copy. Luggage transport between hotels worked seamlessly. Our rented bikes were of good quality and suitable for the trip. Accomodation provided varied from English pubs to Bed and Breakfasts and were mostly to a very good standard. Liaising with Cornish Cycles prior to the trip was very easy allowing extra nights to be planned in some locations. The route was extremely scenic and we found this tour gave a thorough introduction to Cornwall. We have done many cycle tours with other companies in Japan, Italy and France and highly recommend Cornish Cycle Tours.

Worth doing again! We chose the South Coast tour. For myself, the trip fulfilled all my expectations and I would definately like to do a similar trip again. Lanyon was 100% reliable and helped us everytime we needed help. We thoroughly enjoyed each Inn (although the one in Mandaly, which was just fine, could not compare with the others) - the food was great (a very memorable dinner at the Salamander in Mevagissey), and the landscape breathtaking. We were a group of 5 between the ages of 62 and 72. The difficulties we had during our trip were largely due to not fully understanding just how hilly Cornwall is. Had we read the reviews here we would have been better prepared. I live in a hilly area, with quite a lot of rain, so hills and rain were fine with me, but the rest of my group had some trouble. We were on manual bikes. One in the group changed to an E-bike the last two days, and was very happy with that. However our main challenge was the GPS system the first two days. Our solution, that worked really well, was to plot in the trip on google map USING SHORT STAGES of about 5 km. The route google maps showed aligned very well with Lanyon's maps. There are a few short legs in the trip where you bicycle through larger towns. This made some of our group uncomfortable. However, if you're willing to just walk the bike through the town, it's not a problem. We had a lot of rain on our first day. Make sure your rain gear is really rain gear and not some hybrid thing. I had short rain boots with me, rain pants and jacket. I was dry, while my companions got drenched. For travellers in the same age group as us I would suggest allowing double the amount of time that is suggested in the route. There will be hills to walk - and a long coffee break is not to be underestimated! Finally - I would like to give Cornish cycling my best recommendations. It was a vacation I will remember for a long time.

Biking Cornwall Just completed the 7 day Poldark Cycle Tour with Cornish Cycle Tours. Absolutely loved this adventure and all the assistance Lanyon provided us in arranging and executing this trip. Weather was not the best but seeing this beautiful Cornwall coast was magic and provided us with great memories and stories. Suggestions for other bikers. Hills are significant and numerous. E bikes for leisure - older bikers is key. Be ready for rapid weather changes and gear up accordingly. B&B accommodations are really great. Familiarize yourself with the Ride GPS app. Invite another couple to add to the adventure.

Sehr gut zusammengestellte Tour durch Nord- und Südcornwall Es war eine tolle Route und Lanyon hat uns gut begleitet. Er hat die Tour extra für uns zusammengestellt. An einem Regentag hat er uns abgeholt und nach St. Ives gebracht. So konnten wir diesen Ort in Ruhe besichtigen und später per Bus und Zug zum nächsten Ort weiterfahren. Die Fahrräder hat er natürlich wie gewohnt bereits zum nächsten Hotel gebracht. Die Fahrräder waren für dieses Gelände top! Das einzige Negative war, dass wir in St. Agnes nicht die gewünschten Zimmer erhielten. Wir hatten 2 Doppelzimmer zur Einzelnutzung gebucht, bekamen aber nur ein Einzelzimmer und ein Doppelzimmer mit zwei schmalen Einzelbetten.

Eine traumhaft schöne Cornwall Woche Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche auf der Poldark Tour in jeglicher Hinsicht: ausgezeichnete Route mit täglich wechselnder, vielfältiger und wunderschöner Landschaft, tolle Orte mit sehr gemütlichen, sauberen und landestypischen Unterkünften inkl. leckerem Frühstück, erstklassiger Service von Lanyon Rowe, als z.B. meine Kette am E Bike gerissen ist, war er sofort da und hat sie repariert. Lanyon hat auch sehr gute Tipps für Sehenswürdigkeiten in die Reiseroute eingearbeitet. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert!

Sumptuous landscapes The tour lived up to all its promises. Sumptuous landscapes, breathtaking views and picturesque stops. The stages were easy to complete in a day, despite the hills and unpaved sections (you need a suitable bike, which was the case for us). The welcome in the accommodation was always excellent, friendly and attentive. The quality lived up to our expectations. Unfortunately we didn't manage to use the GPS application provided, but with the step-by-step guide we were able to recreate the route easily on Google maps. 6-days luxury Cornish cycling tour Very well organized cycling trip including baggage transport and fantastic accommodation with well chosen hotels and rooms. The detailed cycling instructions, maps and app were very helpful and the documentation was very accurate. The bicycles were in very good technical conditions. The transport of our suitcases was fabulous, our bags arrived in the next hotel always in time. The scenery of the cliffs, beaches and coves was fantastic and we were glad to have hired e-bikes to cycle through the hilly areas of Cornwall. We had an outstanding experience and enjoyed every day of our tour.

Great tour in beautiful scenery! We booked the 4 days Penwith tour and had the best of times! Everything was well prepared by Cornish Cycle Tours and the contact was lovely. The distances per day were not very long but considering the steep hills in this area, it can still be a challenge. I highly recommend to book e-bikes for this tour! Many thanks again to Lanyon & Co for the fantastic service. We enjoyed the tour very much it it was a great opener to our Cornwall Holidays.
