Starts Out Great But..... We loved the place we moved into but before our one-year lease was up Cornerstone sent me a text stating that they were selling the House and I had to move. Things got worst when they wanted to show more than 2 times a week a week and had our House packed with people when they said only a few were going to be there. Then scheduled an inspection and failed to tell us that it would take 5 hours to complete. They gave us money to move out early and then charged us for things that was not on the move-out inspection sheet that I signed.

Agent Shonda I had an incredibly disappointing experience with [Mortgage Agent’s Name] that I feel compelled to share. I was genuinely interested in viewing a property, but rather than facilitating that process, she outright refused to show it to me. What made the situation even more outrageous was how she treated a personal friend of mine — someone kind enough to take time out of their day to help me view the house. Instead of appreciating the effort or simply handling the matter professionally, she was dismissive and downright disrespectful. Her attitude toward someone simply trying to assist a potential buyer was unacceptable and rude. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, it’s completely out of line in an industry that relies on trust, cooperation, and basic courtesy. I would strongly caution others before working with someone who demonstrates such a lack of respect and unwillingness to communicate constructively.

BEWARE!!! BEWARE!! This rental company is horrible!! They are very disrespectful women in this office and they mistreat their tenants as soon as you sign a lease. I have had 3 inspections in 6 months of renting a house with them. Two of these woman have yelled at me as if I was they kid and I just had another one call me to discuss an issue over the phone and yelled at me for no reason! Instead of trying to find a solution. They are very unprofessional and during their 3rd home inspections they opened every single door inside and outside the house. I do not recommend this realtor for anybody! They sure will put tenants in one of the most ugly and nasty experiences that they could possibly be. Very cheap price for the house but also very low class women full of anger. Please be careful before you sign a lease with these woman that will not let you live a comfortable life if you are under a contract with them!

Cornerstone is complete trash and the people that work there are even worse This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. When I started renting from cornerstone at the Allan townhomes in mesa az I thought finally I had found a decent place and company to rent from out here in az. I was sorely mistaken. This property management company and every single employee I have come across: Conner the lead property manager , Zack the VP and broker and Nancy the cfo of all People are nothing more then money hungry, disgusting, unsympathetic jerks. When I lost my job and was late paying rent, Nancy the cfo would demean me and embarrass me in front of the entire office each time I came in to pay (3 times) talking down to me about being late on rent saying the whole high and mighty “back in my day bs” “I remind her of her own kids and blah blah blah” thinking that I need or want her opinion on anything and you read that right- mind you, every time I was walking in with money and a check in hand. I paid over $6k in one month to catch up to when I was late paid all court fees all late fees and after telling Nancy I would have to offset next months rent since I paid so much the previous month she laughed at me and sent me to court the day after the 1st. The final day my bf walked in to pay because at this point she was triggering my anxiety (I am diagnosed and struggle with panic attacks) so I refused to see or speak to this awful individual since I didn’t deserve this treatment or behavior from anyone let alone some uptight property management old hag on a power trip. So my bf goes in to drop off more money and when he comes out to the car my bf informed me she told him the office was taking bets on if I was going to have the payment. Can you believe that?? Taking bets on someone who is struggling and paying their bills. How sick. That’s who these people are that’s the CFO of cornerstone for you. This property doesn’t care AT ALL about their tenants they’ve made that perfectly clear. Now, for the best part. My genius next door neighbors run their cars in their garage now, even tho the garage door is open this is still extremely Dangerous it’s carbon monoxide building in an enclosed space and we had mentioned this before to him but of course (about a month ago now) early monday morning low and behold he started a garage fire (oil on the garage floor and running the cars what do you expect!?!) this was directly next door to me and I was the one who called 911 since my neighbors are Asian and do not speak good English they had no idea how to do so. After I came out witnessing them screaming help just in time I called 911. I grabbed my dog and ran out of my home praying to god it wouldn’t burn down with all my things inside. When I lost my job and was late paying rent, Nancy the cfo would demean me and embarrass me in front of the entire office each time I came in to pay (3 times) talking down to me about being late on rent saying the whole high and mighty “back in my day bs” “I remind her of her own kids and blah blah blah” thinking that I need or want her opinion on anything and you read that right- mind you, every time I was walking in with money and a check in hand. I paid over $6k in one month to catch up to when I was late paid all court fees all late fees and after telling Nancy I would have to offset next months rent since I paid so much the previous month she laughed at me and sent me to court the day after the 1st. The final day my bf walked in to pay because at this point she was triggering my anxiety (I am diagnosed and struggle with panic attacks) so I refused to see or speak to this awful individual since I didn’t deserve this treatment or behavior from anyone let alone some uptight property management old hag on a power trip. So my bf goes in to drop off more money and when he comes out to the car my bf informed me she told him the office was taking bets on if I was going to have the payment. Can you believe that?? Taking bets on someone who is struggling and paying their bills. How sick. That’s who these people are that’s the CFO of cornerstone for you. This property doesn’t care AT ALL about their tenants they’ve made that perfectly clear. Now, for the best part.
My genius next door neighbors run their cars in their garage now, even tho the garage door is open this is still extremely Dangerous it’s carbon monoxide building in an enclosed space and we had mentioned this before to him but of course (about a month ago now) early monday morning low and behold he started a garage fire (oil on the garage floor and running the cars what do you expect!?!) this was directly next door to me and I was the one who called 911 since my neighbors are Asian and do not speak good English they had no idea how to do so. After I came out witnessing them screaming help just in time I called 911. I grabbed my dog and ran out of my home praying to god it wouldn’t burn down with all my things inside. Luckily the fire dept got there and only my neighbors unit was impacted see pics below.
Well I have 1 month left on my lease at this point and I want OUT it reeks of smoke and mildew from the aftermath of the fire and when after 2 days went by not a single email or call from the property on how I am doing or hey thanks for saving our property from burning down nope nada big surprise. So I finally email them and ask if I can get out of this god awful place and lease early and I get the response you see below. Some kind of compassion right? Cornerstone property is trash. They are god awful people please don’t ever rent from cornerstone they will make your life miserable just like they have made mine. I have paid all my rent and late fees and they still treat me like absolute crap. They’re also trying to extort me for attorney fees they are trying to say I owe me for sending me to court unnecessarily for being late on rent I shouldn’t have paid since I have repairs that have gone un attended to. I’ll be taking legal action but I’m writing this review so no one makes the same mistake I do and think this is a decent company to rent from IT ISNT THEY DONT CARE AT ALL ABOUT THEIR TENNATS. Just look at these other reviews and their comments it’s not just this property it’s all of theirs. Do yourself a favor don’t make the mistake I did and rent elsewhere.

Cornerstone is complete trash and the people that work there are even worse

When I started renting from cornerstone at the Allan townhomes in mesa az I thought finally I had found a decent place and company to rent from out here in az. I was sorely mistaken. This property management company and every single employee I have come across: Conner the lead property manager , Zack the VP and broker and Nancy the cfo of all People are nothing more then money hungry, disgusting, unsympathetic jerks. Cornerstone took over Sol at Christown 09/01, from Valley Mgt. 30 day notice given 08/01, keys turned in per Valley View on 08/31, vacated, confirmation email received. Call today with Cornerstone, they have "no notice, no keys, per Valley View". They have started legal proceedings. Forwarded all emails...asked for confirmation of receipt. I got *crickets*. I was at Sol for almost 5 years. This is the worst by far. Steer clear from Cornerstone.

This company recently came into possession of the property I’m currently residing in. After giving them The rental rate I’ve been paying for over 2 years. They, as the new owners decided to raise my rental price by nearly double. They give me this news on the 26th of February. And I’m supposed to renew my lease or decide to leave by the 28th. Completely faceless and unprofessional.

Cornerstone will provide you with a lousy sense of urgency, and the bare minimum when it comes to customer service. They have been managing the property I'm renting for about a month now and are already being terminated. I experienced a water leak from a main line in the concrete slab in my ground level apartment on Friday February 4th, the leak itself was fixed the next day. Austin, the property manager in charge of the building made verbal promises and no follow up email. He has been unaccountable and uncommunicative. The hole in the middle of my apartment was supposed to be repaired Monday the 7th, but I never heard from him (although he had my number and email). Tuesday I get no heads up and a knock at my door with no regards to my obligations such as work. Austin said that he would be present, because he has a key to the property and would be available to supervise the random maintenance team (he wasn't). Since Austin couldn't be present while the maintenance was performed I asked him to call and reschedule so I could plan my day around it. I am still waiting for this hole to be filled, my apartment is a mess from the plumber they hired who didn't clean up his mess very well. My apartment is only 600sqft and I am now living in about half of it due to the area affected by the leak. I wouldn't hire this company personally.

My mother rents at a Cornerstone property in Mesa, AZ. The property is now implementing an online only payment system for rents. This is fine, however, there is an ADDED "service fee" and one not part of the rental agreement to process your rental payment through this new online system. No mention of the service fee was in the notices about this new payment system. I find it so sad and extremely unprofessional. Is this even legal?
