Martin has been extremely diligent, personable and thorough in helping us obtain the best mortgage deal in a particularly complex case which limited our pool of lenders available (maternity leave, self employment and owning other properties.) Although only a small proportion of the total area of the house which blended with the predominant residential use, this seemed to create big problems leading to potential lenders dismissing applications on the basis that the property was 'mixed use'. He talked us through the whole process and explained thoroughly the pros and cons of all possible alternatives, things like: which lender to use, how much LTV to go for, advantages and disadvantages.
