If you are going to drive in Cancun this place is the best!!! We had no problems with the car, the rental agency was very nice, fast, and gave us a great car at a great price. No bulls*&t extras just a quality car and a great price. Easy to find and pick up and drop off were awesome!!! thank you City Car!!!! See you in February!!!
I have pre paid 100$ on the reservation and when I returned the car they said that I would be refound in 10 days but they don't respond to my emails and no sign of the money back....! BE CAREFULL TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID IN ADVANCE
Good service, they pick you up at the airport in the same car they will deliver, there are no additional charges, the cost they tell you is what you pay, the van we rented was in perfect condition. This is the second time I have rented with them, and I have always been delighted with their services. I recommend them 100%.

Just renting a car with City Car Rental was one of the easiest things I could have done during my trip to Cancun. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially since we arrived early to avoid inconvenience! When you pick up your vehicle from their airport location, there's no need for any long lines or waiting around--they've got everything ready- assigning us our perfect wheels before we even get out of customs makes life much easier .
1,5 Std. Wartezeit am Flughafen und anschließend konnten wir unsere Buchung nicht wahrnehmen, da angeblich meine Kreditkarte nicht funktionierte. Man hat uns dann eine Lösung angeboten die um ein Vielfaches teuer war ! Völlig inakzeptabel. Wir sind dann zu einer anderen Mietwagen Firma gefahren wo alles funktioniert hat! Mit der gleichen Kreditkarte. Danke für nichts

Renting a car with city car rental was one of the easiest things I could have done during my trip to Cancun, I rented the car a few days before to avoid any inconvenience, the car was ready when we arrived, jose the guy who welcomed us was very kind with us helping us with our luggage and the attention with the employees was very friendly and we knew we could count on the staff for whatever we needed at any time.

Communication was good and they gave me another car when got clear the charger didn’t work. Unfortunately the tank was almost empty and gladly I saw that in time so I could fuel up. Further the price was ok, around 350 USD for 12 days, but the full insurances costed me an extra 500 USD!! So be aware of the extra cost. And indeed the traffic due to roadworks takes you a lot of extra time to get to the office. Just good to know.
Scam company!!! Do NOT rent a car!!!
First of all they gave us the car that was not available for rent!!! First day of our vacation Mexico police stopped us and said that the car is illegal to rent. Police called for company to clarify situation and company confirmed is true. The CAR WAS TOWED!!! we were left in the middle of nowhere with our suitcases. Company told us that new car will be deliveres but we are waited for EIGHT HOURS!!!! Then take a taxi for 120 km to nearest hotel, paid 150 euros.
Finally after our vacation company give us promise that they refund us 50 euros, but they didn't follow through on what they promised of course. They are LIARS!!!!
I attach their “promise” letter (their signatures blurred) but no money was received. LIARS!!!!
I rented from here earlier this year and last year and had great experiences. Ended up having my other rental cancelled last minute and city car really came through. Car was great, had it for over a month and drove everywhere with no issues! Just booked again and am nervous seeing everyone say how you are quoted for insurance and then they try to charge you way more on arrival, hopefully this doesnt happen and my review will remain the same, awesome company!
Update: second visit went just as great!

from reading reviews now after I used their services it sounds like they left them themselves ( the good reviews) the cars are NOT new and they do not have good service . Let me begin; I landed at the airport and communicated with them my eta to the gate . I had no luggage and I was just going through customs. They said “ no problem, we will be at the module “ I get there and turns out they had to shuttle me to their office and the driver was not near to pick me up . I figured while I waited I would do the paperwork. Nope ! . It took 40 mins of waiting from the airport until I actually got in the car I rented . MAKE SURE your take detailed video and pics of ALL scratches and dents . The car I rented had many and they made note of them but I guess not all . That’s where they got me . Returned it as it was but according to them it had a new scratch. So anyway , what about all the others ? They get part of the deposit to “ paint” it but they actually don’t . Besides, I’m Mexican so I know the cost to fix a scratch . I assure you it was about 1/4 of what they charged me . I would not recommend. Better go with a global name place .
