My mom and I decided to take Italian lessons before we take a summer trip to Italy. Sean is the best! Very knowledgeable, helpful and responsive in helping us get set up. Our teacher, Virginia is so wonderful and patient. The lessons and coursework are easily accessible for studying. We are really getting so much out of our course, not only learning the language but also getting prepped for our trip in many ways. It’s hard work, but Virginia really takes the time to help us understand, answers all our questions, and she really cares & wants us to learn! My experience has been nothing but lovely and I would absolutely recommend using Ciao Languages

I've had a wonderful experience studying Italian at Ciao languages! I've been taking Italian lessons on and off for years, and I've had trouble sticking with it. But the group courses at Ciao are really convenient. The structure of the course makes me feel like I'm learning something new--and actually retaining it--every lesson. I never thought I'd like an online course better than an in-person one, but Ciao proved me wrong. I highly recommend joining a course if you want to study a language and actually use it.
Federica was personable and such a great teacher. Always looked forward to meeting each week. Everything about the class was very organized, communication was great, and my questions were always answered.

This is an excellent way to learn Italian! My wife and I have taken two units so far and will continue to take more. The owner Sean has been very helpful answering questions and scheduling our classes. Our teacher Virginia is excellent. She is a wonderful person and makes the courses informative and fun! Highly recommend!

Amazing Spanish and they seem to have lots of languages. I went in with high expectations and Ciao Languages exceeded them. Great teacher who got my level right away, is fun and funny, and makes learning enjoyable. Easy platform and reasonably priced.

Ciao was able to tailor my lessons to my needs, seamlessly. I had one-on-one instruction with Vivian, a native Italian speaker -- charming, delightful, knowledgeable. Mostly, Vivian understood what I needed to work on and she brought her skills to each meeting. I have tried many different ways to learn Italian but these small group lessons have been the only method where I can see real, true, language-speaking progress. In fact, my husband overheard one of my classes and was shocked at how much I was able to understand when the teacher was speaking in Italian. The online platform completely reinforces what we learn in class too. So, between practicing my speaking with a native Italian teacher and using the online platform, I have been able to retain what I've learned. As a bonus, my teacher always brings in very cool cultural aspects to our lessons that always helps me to understand the language and the people of Italy more all the time!
Also, my daughter will be starting private tutoring soon and I'm so excited. Plus, I don't have to pay out of pocket for her lessons because Ciao Languages is a vendor with her charter school. So, I'm able to use our educational funds to pay for her lessons!
Personally, I'm so glad I just jumped in and joined a class. I'm investing in myself and I feel so good about my progress.
Ciao languages has been an amazing find! I love my one-on-one sessions with Rossella! She’s in Florence and I’m in Irvine but when we have our sessions it feels like we’re in the same room. I love that she (and Sean) customizes my lessons for what I need based on my experiences and prior knowledge. We only speak in Italian for the hour and Rossella is so patient. I have learned so much in 10 sessions and I can’t wait to continue with more.
I took my first Italian class with Virginia, she was wonderful! I was able to learn the formal and informal greetings and more. Having taken French, Spanish I know it would have taken about a weeks worth of highschool lecture to get through the material. The session was paced perfectly and courses are realistic in expectations.
In preparation for my trip to Italy, I took an Italian language course with Ciao Languages. The course and my instructor Jessica were wonderful and helped me feel ready and excited to be in Italy. Jessica was very patient and encouraging and a joy to work with! Sean and his team at Ciao Languages are very responsive and helpful.
Sean has been teaching me English since May. He is a very nice and professional tutor that I’ve ever seen. He never pushed me but always encouraged me to learn. And under his guidance, I’ve learned a lot about American culture in addition to knowledge from books. Yes, he teaches me more beyond the books. I would love to recommend him to any English learners.But I’m hesitated to do this because I’m afraid he would not have enough time to tutor me😊
I've been taking Italian lessons from Ciao Languages for the past couple of months. I have learned so much more than I did trying trying to learn from basic online apps. "Bravo" to Sean and Ciao Languages. My native Italian instructor, Ornella, was fantastica. Grazie Mille!
