Horrible
This app will trap you. It will not let you delete your account. The phone number that it provides does not work. You cannot contact anybody if you have decided you want to delete your account. This app should not be allowed to be out there for people… that how bad it really is.
Lots and lots of loading
Haven’t found a match or conversation on the site yet (which I understand takes time), but it would be really nice if I could get the app to load more than 10% of the time. I open it, wait for a while, leave it open in the background, and I’m stuck with a blue loading circle of death on 90% of tries. When it does load people, activity, etc., I’m always using it worried that closing the app again will make it load again just as it does the vast majority of the time. If you decide you like the features and people on the site enough, use the site instead and don’t get the app. It will save you a lot of time.
This app lacks so much
Not only does it seem like they haven’t updated this app in the 5+ years I used it, but they don’t seem to do enough to verify accounts. A lot of accounts only have one picture and they seem sketchy. For the most well known Christian dating app this app is abysmal. The technical aspect is way too outdated and there feels like there isn’t anyone on the app (or at least real people).
Not worth it
Truly a waste of time. It makes you do all things - upload photos, write summary about yourself, except for messaging. You have to pay for it. What's the point of having a "free" option when all you can do is just see and not talk. Nothing but cash grab. Please don't waste your time and money!
It’s bad
Not worth the ridiculously high price. I don’t want to be mean, but every day I dread logging in to scroll through potential matches, and I am always disappointed. Scroll through first before buying and see for yourself. Spoiler Alert: It doesn’t improve. The photos are hard to swipe through, the user interface looks messy, I’m receiving messages from people 3,000 miles away, and the ages aren’t even posted up front. Constant glitches. You have to buy a subscription to do anything, otherwise it’s not usable except to look at people. Waste of money. You’ll have better luck on literally any other dating app. I cancelled my subscription, and so they cancelled my entire account. Fine by me. I got my full refund. GOOD RIDDANCE!
Could be better
The profile thumbnails are way too close together. I accidentally tapped on four while trying to swipe down through the list, and they were four I had no intention of tapping on. Update: There is no way to sort by denomination which is the main thing that would make us “like-minded”. I’m from a denomination that believes things that in my experience makes people from other denominations uncomfortable. It’s best that I stick to my own kind on that one. Every time I go in, I have to scroll through the same list of people who are not appropriate matches for me to see if anyone new has been added. It would be nice to be able to clean that out. And the look book needs a skip button and to show more profile information - like their denomination.
Waste of time
Basically every dating app out there will allow you to chat with someone if you have matched with them. Meaning, if you’ve like each other‘s profiles you can talk to one another. With Christian Mingle, you have to pay for a subscription just to talk to your matches. There are so many better Christian dating apps out there. Don’t waste your time with this one.
