I made enquiries the week prior and I received very prompt courteous replies. They were very informative of requirements and my own responsibilities in the visa run. The communication from them was very organised and extremely detailed. I had no hesitation in booking.
The minibus was waiting for me when I arrived a few minutes early at the pick up point which was very convenient to my address. The driver greeted me warmly and had an excellent command of the English language. The air-conditioned minibus was very new and very comfortable. The driver was a very polite, cheerful individual but also an excellent driver. I’m a professional driver myself and can be critical of others who drive me. This man is one of the best who has ever driven me not just in Thailand but anywhere in the world. He is smooth, no sudden braking or entering corners too fast, no unexpected emergency stops or suicidal overtaking manoeuvres. First class!
The whole procedures at both border points leaving and re-entering was like clockwork. No problems for 9 out of the 10 of us making the crossing. One of our group however had an issue with her passport which none of us was aware of including the driver. When he learnt he went off to investigate and then started making phone calls. He was genuinely concerned for her as were we all. He remained very concerned until she re-appeared about an hour later. You could see how relieved he was that she was ok and she had completed her border run without further issue! We made 3 stops on way to visa run for toilet and refreshment breaks and 2 on return leg which we were all happy with.
I have been coming to Thailand for over 30 years and in that time made many organised trips which were nightmares or poorly organised or executed. Chiang Mai visa run is not one of these companies.
I highly recommend if you need a visa run from Chiang Mai you contact this company and use their service. In my experience they are not just the best company I’ve used in Thailand but they are by a very long way the best I’ve used in 30 years. Thankyou very much Chiang Mai visa run!
