Ryan came as promised and got repair done quickly. He respected social distance, wore a mask and was very friendly and pleasant. I quickly asked him back for another repair! I am happy to get service from this company again. I am always impressed by the quality of work and pleasant and friendly nature of each one of the workers. I have mobility limitations and they did everything possible to keep me comfortable while they put in new flooring. I was also pleased to have full access to needed areas in the evenings. I can tell they work together, help each other and enjoy what they do and it shows in BEAUTIFUL new floor!

I am so grateful to Champion City Handyman for coming to my rescue! I needed the access to my crawl space enlarged so a new air conditioner coil would fit. The new air conditioner could not be installed until this was done. After already completing four jobs on Friday, James and Jimmy Cleaver did the work in a professional, timely manner. Both were very personable and knowledgeable. This is not the first time I have used Champion City Handyman, and it won’t be the last. I highly recommend this company. Today they finished the crawl space. The original job was removing old insulation and moisture barrier and replace both. However; upon inspection they found that the original tape used to join sections of ductwork has deteriorated and I have been heating and cooling the crawl space for who knows how long! Everything was retaped properly, and-12 new straps to hold up the ductwork were installed. Additionally there was a lot of unused cables and speaker wire they removed. There were odds and ends of trash, which were removed. I now have a tidy crawl space and proper insulation and ductwork. I am grateful and can’t recommend them enough.

The technician was knowledgeable and professional. He put back the glass that had slipped from the front door, tightened the hardware on the back door lock and tested effective, advised on preventing degradation of sidewalk during winter and did light repair on shower. All seems to work well. Thank you

Champion City Handyman has done multiple repairs and installation projects for us and every one has been completed extremely professionally from quote to scheduling to completion. Everything they’ve done has turned out beautifully and the high quality of their work is apparent. The impressive end results are especially exceptional because this is a 120-year-old farm house with many quirks and complications. No project at this house ever is easy because it’s so old and things often are vastly out of the norm. The Champion City Handyman professionals keep us well informed. Often there are underlying issues with this house, and they let us know right away, show us the situation, give us the various options, and let us decide what we want done. Beyond the exceptional quality of the work, they also are wonderful at communication, sending appointment reminders for estimates and scheduled work as well as detailed estimates and invoices. And they show up on time every time! Every time! They send texts when they’re on the way and they come as scheduled and get right to work. Every single person who has come to work on projects here has been extremely polite, pleasant, and patient no matter what challenge this house presents. They’re also very neat and careful. In an old farmhouse being updated and reorganized, that’s not as important as it would be in other houses but they still do it as a matter of course. If it sounds like maybe I work for them or know them beyond their projects for us, I do not. I could never do the work they do and am just so glad I found them. After we had them come out for one project, we knew we’d be having them do more because we were so impressed. We’ve had other repair people here—when they showed up—and the difference is like a moonless midnight and noon on a bright summer day. The others often didn’t show up or came hours or days late, didn’t return calls or emails, often did work that just wasn’t at this level of quality, and left a mess. In summary, we just couldn’t be happier with the work by Champion City Handyman has done for us. With six projects done and several others scheduled, our house is safer, more efficient, and functioning and looking better all the time. Update: Since I first posted, Champion City Handyman has done and is doing many other projects for us and “this old house”. Bob Vila and Norm Abrams would be so proud! Seriously: They text to confirm they’re coming, text when they’re on the way, and do such careful, house-transforming work while they’re here—and they’re always working to make sure that what they do is what I want even if it’s not what everyone else might want. That makes such a difference to me! I have zero handy-person skills and would never think about the details they do; thank heavens they do! For example, the walls in this 120+-year-old house have layers of stone, wood, brick, plaster, drywall, and various combinations, meaning they’re uneven, with gaps, cracks, and whatever else old walls can have. They pay such attention to detail and do whatever it takes in whatever they do to get it right, which is an understatement! They’re installing new vinyl plank floors and if the walls are a challenge, imagine the floors of this farmhouse. Every room they finish looks so great that we just can’t believe it’s our house. I’ve had work done here before by reputable companies but the work done by James, Maria, Kyle, and everyone else at Champion City Handyman is of such better quality that I’m continually amazed—and SO GRATEFUL I found them! On top of it all, they all are so considerate, neat, and pleasant even given the challenges of this old house plus our pets coming and going—and with us here most of the time working. Their efforts make our house safer, more attractive, and easier to maintain. With all these accolades I’ve written, it might seem like I work for them or am related but neither is true. I just am so grateful for their excellent work and I want to let others know about them, too. Thank you!

Professional and polite! Very hard working

Champion City Handyman provided excellent service in replacing windows, repaired the broken bricks on the front of my home. Installed a hand rail and enclosed iron porch supports. Thank you !!
