Beautiful though pricey
The Crystal Cave is by no means the largest or most spectacular cave we have visited, though it probably is the most expensive. That said, everything in Bermuda is horribly expensive and the cave really is pretty. It’s particularly nice to walk over a floating boardwalk down in the cave, which gives a great perspective.
There were around 20 people in the group (you can’t visit unless in a group with a guide) and it lasted about 30 minutes.
Sorry to say but we found the guide to be really annoying (verging on rude) which was a distraction from the beauty of the place. Nice to visit once, but wouldn’t rush back.

Go for the Fantasy
We have been meaning to visit Crystal Cave for years. It was the Fantasy Cave that was my favorite. Our tour guide, Ron, was personable, funny and knowledgeable. The cave was incredible. Millions of years of Mother Nature sculpting under ground. If you visit Bermuda don't miss the caves. A very special treat well worth a few hours of your vacation time.
Small Cave system, a little pricey
If you are looking to get off the beach and explore Bermuda, this can be a good stop.
Crystal Cave has 88 steps that descend to a long floating dock on an underground lake to see the stalactites and stalagmites. Fantasy Caves also require 88 steps down to an area that has two sections to view the different mineral formations. This cavern has several rare chandelier clusters seen in only a few caves around the world. If you are pressed for time consider only seeing Crystal Cave. Do not miss having the fish sandwiches here (more later under food)

Amazing tour guides!
We did the Fantasy and Crystal Caves tour. We had two different tour guides. Both were absolutely amazing! So much fun! They were really entertaining and enthusiastic. They knew everything that was to know about the caves. They answered every question, interacted with the guests and were really helpful. I recommend this tour to everyone. A must see in Bermuda! We paid 35$ each for the two tours.
Beautifully maintained
A one hour Crystal Cave tour was included as part of our cruise line’s inclusive package. It is considered more demanding because of the uneven and slippery stair steps (~85) at its entrance. Once there, low light and low hanging stalactites may be menacing to the tall who don’t see well.
All that stated, the cave is beautifully maintained. The temperature is comfortable so an extra jacket is not recommended. The water is crystal clear, and all of the lighting is done without colorization. Evidently, no bats or lifeforms call the cave home. Food and drink are prohibited to maintain it. The climb upstairs was difficult for some people, but a couple benches are provided at the top.
The experience was worth it.
A unique experience for Bermuda Travelers.
A unique and beautiful cave. The story behind its discovery is great. Our tour guide was entertaining and safety conscious. The tour was short, but worth it. No need to plan a lot of time for this, it can be seen in about an hour. A great opportunity to learn about Bermuda’s geologic past as well.

Wow!
So glad we decided to tour the Crystal Caves. We visited Bermuda in the off season and ended up with a private tour. Our guide Nico was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We really enjoyed having him as our guide. The caves are stunning and unlike those I've seen before in other countries. This is a definite must visit on your trip to Bermuda!
Beautifulness at its best
the coolness of the caves, the way they formed themselves, and the stories told about the 2 young men that discovered it. I did not like the flemmizness of the steel walkways. i was truly amazed to know we were right up under the store and Cafe. of the caves, the grounds are kept very well. it takes 125 or 175 steps to get to the seeing point it is very deep down there, Beautiful very exciting, the guides person was m very informative, polite and very aware of safety. i enjoy the Tour guide of the Island , I must Tell I was very scared . But I really did not have a reason to be , I was with my Husband, and my sister that lives there , I just did not know what to expect.

Amazing
Definitely worth stopping by. It makes for an amazing backdrop for some really cool photos. The contrast of the turquoise blue and the white stalagmites and stalactites. It is amazing to think of the time that it took to create the natural beauty of this cave. You will be awe inspired.
Great Spectacle
The Crystal caves were fantastic to see. The guide was very informative and explained how the caves were discovered by two young boys. It is amazing to see as your are led down and onto a floating walkway above crystal clear water. The guide shows how completely black it is when the lights are turned out.
We were taken to this site by a mini bus driver from the cruise port. He charged $5 more than the daily travel ticket ($19), but he was well worth it as he also took us to Hamilton for a visit and then to the lighthouse. He was very informative on the journey and seemed to know everyone on the island! His name is Llew Carter and he drove a black mini bus from the port. I would highly recommend him and his tour.
