I bought a ring here, and it really made my day. Such a beautiful store. It’s right for you if you prefer daintier jewelery. A lot of thin metals and tiny details. The staff helped me figure out my size and showed me things that were perfect for me. I look forward to going back soon! It does get busy and is in a busy area so if you can swing a quiet week day I would recommend it.
Now that other stores offer permanent jewelry, do yourself a favor and go to them instead of catbird. Below is an email I sent to customer service and got no resolution.
I've bought 3 forever bracelets and a few other pieces, and have always raved to my friends about this company, especially recently given there's a lot of competition in the permanent bracelet space, but I always saw Catbird as the leader of the pack.
Unfortunately, I had an incident recently that makes me question this. I was in the car and noticed something shiny on the floor a couple weeks ago and realized one of my forever bracelets dropped right off my wrist. This actually happened with my third one (hundred summers), and I didnt notice till it was too late - by the way I never asked Catbird to replace this one. Luckily I caught the one in question (petite 1976) and brought it to the Catbird soho store, which is where I purchased it in 2023. I had a really unpleasant encounter with the store manager Ash. All I had asked was to have the bracelet re-zapped, and even offered to pay the fee (though the fact that a link had broken isnt really the customer's fault).
Ash proceeded to tell me that her only "solution" is for me to buy an entirely new bracelet and spend $100+, and essentially throw out the bracelet that I already have. When I told her I want to just get the bracelet rewelded (only 1 link was broken and this could have easily been redone) she refused. Ash even admitted that this kind of situation happens with the petite 1976 often. The lack of resolution is unacceptable as a retailer of fine jewellery. The right solution if she didnt want to reweld it would be to take the broken bracelet and reuse it for your future materials (which I know Catbird does anyway) and comp me a new bracelet. According to Reddit, this is not an unusual request.
First, I should say the jewelry itself was beautiful. I had a hard time ordering it online though. I contacted someone, and mentioned the date by which I needed the item. They told me that it "should" come in time - no guarantee, but that they would do their best to expedite the process - I paid extra. Then they messed up the engraving, which took a while for them to notice, inform me, then start the whole process over again. It arrived late.
My experience today at Catbirds was truly wonderful. (Krystal) was incredibly kind and patient as I navigated my decision. I had purchased a charm for my bracelet, but before leaving the store, I changed my heart. Krystal was so understanding and helped me resolve everything with such grace and ease. ❤️
Krystal truly exemplifies what outstanding customer service is all about! You are a shining star. I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Juliet, who put the charm on my bracelet. Her kindness and positive spirit made the entire experience so delightful. I genuinely appreciate both of you for making my visit so memorable and special! 😊

This is such a lovely note, thank you so much for sharing this feedback Rose! We’re so glad Krystal and Juliet could make your visit feel special and cared for from start to finish. They’ll be over the moon to read this. We’re lucky to have them and customers like you. We hope to see you again soon!
Great jewelry, bad customer service (possibly homophobic staff).
I've had the diamond fizz ring (size: sparkler) for a few years and it has stayed in excellent condition. The prongs are strong and hold the diamond in place. Serves well as a promise ring. Definitely worth the price. However, the customer service could improve. My partner and I went to the Soho location to pick out a ring and the staff was not friendly. As we tried on the rings, and they seemed very disinterested and didn't even try to close the sale. Not sure if it was an issue of homophobia or sales skills.

Hi Corinne, we’re so incredibly sorry to read about this experience! No one should ever leave Catbird feeling unwelcome. That’s not who we are, and we take your feedback very seriously. Update—
Since my initial review two weeks ago, Catbird proactively reached out to me via email acknowledging their mistake. They offered to refund me the amount owed and provided a discount for my next purchase. I appreciate their proactiveness and effort to right this wrong!

Original review—
They overcharged me by $30 with higher in store prices compared to what they have listed online. I bought two items and asked the sales associate if the summer sale was applicable and she said no-I later go on their site and see that it was indeed on sale. Not only that, but one of the items has a $10 in store vs online discrepancy.
Check the website before purchasing here. This feels super scammy!
