When I say I've been a patient of Dr.Carter's, I mean for 20+ years. I was treated as a preteen and teenager by him and his father. I am greeted and treated like family. So much so, I am now bringing my children here too! The technicians are very gentle and explain to my children what is going on and why. I have never in my many years as a patient been surprised by hidden costs, to extended care without need. Many of the staff are the originals I had as a teen, and that speaks to the care and appreciation Dr.Carter has for his staff. I wouldn't bring my family anywhere else!

Just had my consult with Dr David and I gotta say I am throughly impressed. I have been seeing Dr Scott in Augusta for the past year and his hard plastic splint has done nothing for me and I spent thousands! I really wish I had met Dr David sooner. You can tell he has a passion for what he does and he learned everything TMJ from his father before he retired. Its rare you find a doctor so devoted to what they do. You can immediately tell Dr David doesnt do this for the paycheck. TMJ disorder is such a kaleidoscope of problems and it is so different depending on the person. He tailors his treatment to what YOU need. Not some standard treatment for everyone. I am so relieved to finally be in good hands. His receptionist and medical assistants were super helpful and friendly as well. I 1000% recommend their practice.
Always a pleasure to go to the Aiken office. Never wait long. Staff is helpful and cheerful. Technician always keeps me in loop to what is being done and my status; two more series of invisalign sessions and I should be done. Wendy always makes me feel like a loved and valuable family member. Always recommend

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and great energy. The entire staff was very kind and welcoming. Katie was especially helpful—she walked me through everything I needed to know for my upcoming braces appointment and answered all of my questions with patience and professionalism. Honestly, she sealed the deal for me. Having a team that treats you well and takes the time to be informative truly goes a long way. I’m excited for my orthodontic journey!
I had an appointment today at 1 and everything went smooth. I was greeted upon entry, I only waited about 10-15 mins before I was called to the back then I expressed my concern about the need for braces and more. The ladies explained everything so well, I was given a treatment plan by Katie that I understood very well but the staff was nice and sweet overall! I even got a nice laugh with Katie about the “uniqueness” of my mouth but I cannot wait until I start this process, I am excited!!!
