Will never be purchasing anything from Captains Catch in Easton Maryland I bought 2 lbs of backfin lump over $36 for each and when I opened one dumped it in my crab dip it was backfin and the second one was regular crab meat someone had switched lids! I immediately called and let them know and was told I don’t know how that could happen we don’t carry regular crab meat. I come here from Florida to visit family have bought from there before but never again!
They better check their crab meat! People open the lids before you drive away!
I rarely write reviews, but only do so when a local business is truly exceptional. I have been using Captain's Catch on and off since moving to the Easton area since 2013. Their secret is their service, it is an exception to the area and they go above and beyond anyone else in this industry. If they don't have something, they will get it- and can get it fresh off the boat locally or regionally. There are several local businesses that really make this area unique and a good place to live. This is one of them. If you are wondering if this is worth trying- it is.
So blah blah blah, seafood, blah maryland, etc. Captain's Ketch has great seafood. OK, so does a lot of places on the shore. But they have great service, and fantastic cranberry blue cheese salad. You can go there to get something special, or just a regular meal. Spinach soufflé, ✅. Crab cake, ✅ . Sauces, ✅
Everything here is made from scratch, from the fresh seafood to the coleslaw, spinach souffle, and cookies. We had the crabcake and shrimp platters, both of which were very tasty. The shrimp were cooked beautifully. Would come back again. Just be aware it is more of a takeout place then a sit down restaurant.
The shrimp roll is served in a round, warm, buttery, brioche-like bun.
The shrimp salad itself, is very well seasoned, not too salty, not too much mayo or other things getting in the way of the shrimp flavor. There's a bit of celery and a bit of pickle for crunch. The salad is served inside the middle of the round bun.
The bread is warm, the shrimp salad is cool. Great combo and very tasty.
There are also lobsters that they will steam and crack for free.
