Again those cancellations that you like to mention is due to your staff supposedly not having the authorization from the insurance. We booked those appointments way in advance, and because you guys didn’t have the authorization I was told that those appointments had to be canceled. Don’t make it seem like we were just canceling just because. Those visits that he did attend I had to call the day of, or week of to get.You and I discussed this already. Like I said your staff is nice, but you need to work on your attitude. Have a bless day!
The owner of this establishment is very prejudice. If your child is not hispanic the owner does not want you as a patient. From the very beginning they were giving us the run around. Saying our insurance was approved, and then saying they are still waiting for an authorization. Which was a complete lie because our insurance already sent them the approval. Once they mentioned they were waiting for an authorization they canceled all the scheduled appointments. Now they want to discontinue the service due to the appointments they canceled. The staff that was helping my son was pleasant, but the owner is horrible. An investigation should be taken place for discrimination.

Hello Andrea, first as a business is it would not be profitable if I obtain authorization from the insurance and denied services. The way it works is first we get authorization/eligibility for the evaluation then after the evaluation we have to request authorization AGAIN for further visits and wait for insurance response and AGAIN if either the visits they approved are used and/or if the authorization period has expired we need to obtain AGAIN more visits, most insurance now are approving 5 visits at the time and if don't obtain authorization we need to cancel and reschedule the visits so this is the run around you mentioned we gave you, as soon as we obtain authorization we call the parents to schedule, again as a business (not even mentioning here morally, ethically etc. as a healthcare provider) it is not financially smart from us not to provide services if we have authorization and the patient is complainant with the scheduled to ALL our patients regardless of their ethnical background that is just absurd. In your case as we discussed over the phone very amicably that aside from the times, we had to reschedule you due to authorization, you had 8 cancelation and ONLY 5 visits in over 2 months, I explained to you our discharge policy based on more than 4 cancelation/no shows. Again, we are here to further assist. God bless.

Buddies in Motion are absolutely amazing and wonderful! Dr. Sanchez and their staff are kind, friendly, courteous and most importantly outstanding. My daughter has been coming to get therapy in this place for many years. Their techniques they taught my daughter and me for managing pain have been incredibly helpful. I especially appreciate how they explained me the exercises and made sure I understood the proper form, so I can practice with my daughter at home. I am very thankful for their support and guidance throughout my daughter's treatment.

This is the Best physical Therapy I had receive. The staff members are very professionals and they work in what is best for you. I went with a heavy lower back pain and in 10 visits my pain was reduced tremendously. I highly recommend it.

Buddies in Motion and staff are simply GREAT! This is in my neighborhood and I like to support businesses in my neighborhood. My appointments for physical therapy were well coordinated via text messages and emails and also phone calls. I went with a lot of pain in my lower back and today I walked out feeling no pain whatsoever. My therapist was very professional and took great care to explain all the needed exercises I had to do during therapy and on my own at home. It was one hour well spent. I’ve visited this therapy center four times so far, and I’m planning to continue going. Each session has been very helpful, and it’s made a real difference in how I feel. We were coming in as new patients, our appointment was at 3pm, my husband arrived 2:45 because we like to be on time with paperwork filled out and still was not called in till 3:45pm
It was upsetting and because I work in the medical field , I did everything right from my part and even waited patiently but honestly it was a bit ridiculous waiting this long just for a consultation/evaluation.

Hello Jessenia I apologize for the inconvenience, we treat patients by schedule time and not by arrival time since we have other patients schedule and we honor schedule time, we do our best to accommodate ALL our patients needs and are very respectful of their time, due to all the paperwork we need to complete during an evaluation of a new patient including reaching out to the insurances companies the evaluation time is longer than a regular visit (and that is explained in the email we sent out prior to your arrival where we state to allow at least an hour for all the evaluation process to be completed) some details can be completed prior to the patient arriving other details cannot be done since the patient might cancel or don't show, how I explained to you today particularly we were having an emergency with another patient that unfortunately increased you waiting time, but we were still within that hour limit that I mentioned, again as I did in person I apologize and hope I can make it up to you,. I just want to take a moment to say how amazing this physical therapy place is! I bring my 3-year-old son here, who’s an extreme tippy-toe walker, and the experience has been nothing short of incredible. From my very first meeting with the director to discuss a personalized action plan for my son, I’ve felt nothing but support and genuine care.
The physical therapists here truly cater to each child’s individual needs. It’s so clear that this isn’t just a job to them — they genuinely love what they do and have such a passion for helping children thrive.
The location is in a super friendly, welcoming neighborhood, and they even have sweet, friendly dogs around which adds to the comforting atmosphere. It’s definitely NOT ghetto — anyone saying otherwise is completely off base.
This place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I’m so excited to continue watching my son’s progress here. Honestly, 5 stars isn’t enough — if I could, I’d give them 10 stars!!

In a relatively decent neighborhood which is in the cut away from the main boulevard which is a lil ghetto. But I was able to get parking next to the near by school. So my appointment was originally at 3pm but I came earlier around the time frame of 1:30pm to scope out the environment to see if this physical therapist would be a good fit for my son. When I walked in there was a receptionist with black hair she wasn’t really unfriendly the whole time at the appointment and she was a lil rude. Talking about me in Spanish while I was standing right in front of her and could understand every last word she was saying. She handed me paperwork around 1:40pm and I completed it. So originally in the email they sent me it says it takes an hour for them to process your paperwork. At 3pm I get seen and I noticed when I walked in they don’t really have an office to complete the intake. Your talking all freely out in the open and it’s not to far away from where they are conducting
physical therapy for the adolescent minors that are there for an appointment . Then they make you take your shoes off but while she was conducting the intake there was a lil dog inside the area with us while she was asking me a bunch of questions. Then while I’m there she asks me am I of Spanish decent which I am but it’s not really the focus point of why I’m there. Then not only that she breaks while we are doing the intake in order to let the dog out and let someone take him for a walk. I waited there all that time for an couple of hours only for the intake process to last a totally of 20 minutes to ask me the same information that was on the referral I sent them along with the insurance card. They’re more caught up on color and your ethnicity then their professionalism. That’s a red flag for me.

Hello Lorraine as I did over the phone when we spoke I apologize again for the inconvenience, we treat patients by schedule time and not by arrival time and you were taken care of right at your schedule time which was at 3pm, the receptionist was talking in Spanish in front of you because she assumed you were Spanish because of the last name (I spoke to her for next time not to make these assumptions). We are located in Jackson Heights Queens which is a good neighborhood, and I feel very safe since I also live in the next block to my clinic. The referrals give us the diagnosis and sometimes the doctor sends the protocol of treatment, but we need to ask questions to get the whole history of the condition to be able to make the appropriate plan of care. I really don't understand your statement and/or what you mean by " they're more caught up on color and ethnicity" but regardless of the motive I can assure you that that is not how we do things here, we are a multi-cultural family-oriented clinic mostly Spanish speaking woman that believe in respect and equality. I thank you for making me aware of the other things we discussed so we make things better I already took the due appropriate corrections. Thank you so much again and you have my number in case you feel we can have another opportunity to be of service to you and your family.
