Positive surprise at the football pitch This trattoria is not easy to rate. Let's start with the location. Below the village of Pompeiana, right next to the football pitch, there is a new building that could just as easily be the clubhouse of the local football club. You enter the room and are surprised by the modern sobriety. The dining room is brightly decorated, the style is vintage and colorful, ranging from different napkins to many different chairs. The staff are very motivated and happy at work, which supports a positive impression. But now to the food: There are dishes from the menu or a set menu (35 euros), which we chose. The menu consists of antipasti, 2 primi, a secondo, dolce and coffee. Ligurian cuisine is highly valued here and the two chefs are masters of their craft. For antipasti we were given four small delicacies and then two different gnocchi with different sugi. Two gnocchi in a row was certainly not a hit, but perhaps we didn't understand the service well enough and we should have chosen in advance from the menu which two primi we would have wanted. Next time we'll be smarter. One positive thing to note is that the gnocchi were homemade and not from the supermarket shelf. Both times they were very tasty. Polpo was served for the main course, which was lightly flamed and wonderfully tender. A real treat. The caramel tart was perhaps the weakest link in the food chain. In addition to the dishes, the service was also good, e.g. a cooler was provided for the bottle of wine without asking, the sequence of dishes was neither too fast nor were the breaks too long, feedback on the dishes was requested, etc. We can recommend this trattoria without reservation to friends of traditional Ligurian cuisine. We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch. As I mentioned the dining room at the beginning: Bona-a-Vui is not really suitable for a dreamy evening in the style of a candlelight dinner. But you can eat good Ligurian food here at a reasonable price.
