We selected Blue Haven Pools out of the three companies that we received bids from and we are so happy that we did! From the sales experience with Pete C to the construction PMs, Nate and Ryan, as well as Jamie in the office, every person with whom we interacted was professional, caring, and great at their jobs. But let me start from the beginning. We did not plan this for years, think out every feature we wanted, and meticulously go through the process. Instead, we decided in late February, “hey, let’s get a pool” and reached out to 3 local companies (one is a BIG national company, the other a small local company, and the third was Blue Haven—locally owned, but with the big national name). From the beginning, Pete C, Blue Haven’s sales person was the MOST responsive, most available, and easiest to communicate with of all the salespeople. He came out within a day of our call to walk the property (nobody else was that fast!), shared ideas, listened to us (even though we didn’t really know what we wanted, except NOT the most expensive pool ever!), and worked with our budget. Our yard isn’t large..just over a quarter acre, and my goal was “most swimming space possible” so we went with a 14’ by 30’ rectangle, no sun shelf, 3.5-6 feet deep, sheer descent at the far end and all standard selections except the plaster (Quartzscapes Aruba Sky). Everything was selected at contract time, but if I had to do it again, I would take more time with those selections and make sure I had samples in my hand for a few days to compare. We signed our contract on March 8th, permits were requested on March 11 and weren’t received from our county until April 22 (!!). With permits in hand on April 22, Blue Haven’s team (and I mean team! The VP, Tyler, the PMs, Nate and Ryan, and Sales Guy, Pete,) all arrived three days later to walk the property, confirm the design done at the Blue Haven offices, and rope off the pool space. They were fast, confidence-inspiring, fun and friendly…that’s one thing about Blue Haven, we genuinely LIKED every person with whom we came in contact from the company. Construction started 4/29 with the big dig—no rocks were found, so we won the lottery on that front! Things progressed quickly after that: steel on 5/2-3, plumbing on 5/7, Gunite on 5/13, equipment delivered and installed on 5/20, electrical complete on 5/21, tile and coping on 5/28, patio built 6/11-13, and plaster and fill on 6/27. Sixty (60!) days dig to fill! We are now almost a month in and have been swimming for a few days—we love it! Pool school was last week and the service team has been fantastic—again all incredibly likable, knowledgeable, fun people—especially Tony who did our pool school! We have a few issues with our plaster, likely due to the underlying gunite, but Blue Haven has been 100% responsive and forward-leaning on solving the problem and we should have that taken care of by the end of August. In summary, if you’re on the fence between pool companies we would highly encourage you to go with Blue Haven. From the construction team, office staff, and leadership to the service and operations department, we could not be more pleased with the outcome. Now, the next big step—getting a Loop Loc winter cover! Sadly, we have to winterize in N. Virginia! Best of luck to those considering a pool. 💦

Both the construction and pool cleaning services have been top notch and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a pool. It is an all around courteous, responsive, and professional staff and company.

Becarful within company, not professional at all. I was supposed to get my design within 2 weeks and I have been waiting for 3 months No design, no communication and no returning emails.

Pete Cierski from Blue Haven Pools responded immediately when I reached out about building a pool. He and his wife Linda have spent many hours talking through pool options and sent many 3D computer images of those options. It was as if we were the only ones building a pool!

Pete and Linda Cierski are great. We called 5 different pool companies. 3 of them didnt return our call. One said they couldnt get us an estimate for weeks. Pet and Linda were on it from the start even while on a beach. Honestly cant comment as far os price goes but the service and responsiveness is perfect.

Blue Haven Pools is top notch from the very beginning, 5 stars all around! My husband and I have hired our fair share of home contactors, and at times, have sadly had serious buyers remorse. However, Pete and Linda Cierski made the contractor vetting, sales, and overall design process of our pool, spa and patio extremely easy and personalized from Day 1. We initially reached out to Blue Haven online after hearing positive feedback from neighbors on their pool experience and reading their online reviews. However, our inquiry at the time was just to begin exploring design options and pricing. In all honesty, we had no plans of starting a project in the next 12 months, yet that all changed fairly quickly! From our initial email inquiry, it took only hours for Pete to personally call us. He introduced himself, told us a bit more about the company services, and asked us further questions about the project we hoped to design. Not only was the process easy, but at no time did it feel "sales-y" or pushy. The conversation was natural and we didn't feel pressured, which was a welcomed change! Once we met with Pete and designed our project, Linda quickly got to work overnight on our 3D renderings. And from there, our distant pool project became more of a reality. Linda is exceptional at capturing what we discussed with Pete into a beautiful rendering that brought our vision to life. They were both very responsive and patient with us-- even over the weekend-- as we made changes to the renderings to get things just right for our design and budget. Ultimately, it was an easy decision for us to look no further and sign on with Blue Haven pools. We begin construction this summer and cannot wait to bring the 3D renderings to life in a few short months!

From the first meeting with Pete and Linda Cierski to the crew starting the work to working with Jamie McDowell in the office and Nate here at our house; this has been an excellent experience. We would choose Blue Haven all over again!

This first part of our pool process has been great! We’ve been working with Pete and his wonderful wife Linda Cieraki. Pete has been great as a sales person. Never pushy! He’s educated us and informed us all along the way. Linda made the most beautiful rendering of how our property and pool will look. We’re very excited for step 2 - excavation and build!! After knowing a couple of friends who built pools with Blue Haven, I decided to reach out. We received a quote for another outdoor project and it immediately had me thinking, maybe we put that money into something that could give us not just outdoor space, but entertainment and get us outdoors in the heat of summer. Upon reaching out to Blue Haven, within hours I received a call from Pete, who came over the next day to see our space and figure out what it is we were thinking. Pete’s wife Linda created our rendering which was great, but after more thought, and another visit from Pete, we decided upon another design and placement and within a very short time Linda provided us with our new rendering! Her efforts to landscape and show us an even better vision than we anticipated helped us really embrace the plan. We visited Blue Haven in Manassas to make our tile and paver choices, everyone was so friendly, Jamie and Katherine were especially great! Pete and I have talked almost every day, he gives opinions where he feels you need it, but doesn’t push anything and is there to see your vision through. I’m nervous to become a pool owner because it’s completely new to me, but we are looking forward to our family enjoying this space for years to come!

I can’t say enough good things about Blue Haven Pools. Best pool company ever!!! We have a very small backyard but we really wanted to build a pool for our girls. We had different companies give us estimates and designs. A couple of them said that it would be very difficult to install a pool in our small backyard,other company was gonna charge us an arm and a leg just to build a retaining wall before building the pool then a friend of mine recommended Blue Haven and it was the best recommendation ever!!! Carrie was phenomenal and designed our pool that looks like an infinity pool and maximized the size and space by building one side of the pool as the retaining wall. With the money they saved us we were able to build a nice outdoor kitchen and patio. They were very attentive to details and they delivered on time. We couldn’t be happier!!! If you are looking to build the pool of your dreams, don’t look anywhere else,Blue Haven is the way to go and it’s a local family owned company. We built a pool with Blue Haven a few years ago and couldn't be happier with the customer service we are still receiving. Specifically, Nate is always willing to answer questions, make other phone calls on our behalf, and even stop by the house to check on things if there's even the hint of a problem. Nate truly made the process of building a pool easier and knowing I can call him directly at any time for assistance, three years later, is why we are so happy we went with Blue Haven. Ask for Nate!

I strongly discourage anyone from considering Blue Haven pools for their pool construction needs. Their customer service, or rather lack thereof, is emblematic of their overall approach. The contractors associated with Blue Haven seem to operate independently, with no oversight or management in place to ensure quality work. What's worse, they disregard any semblance of scheduling or coordination with homeowners, showing up at their convenience. It's as if they believe they're doing customers a favor, reminiscent of my experience when they unceremoniously deposited a significant quantity of waste clay from another project onto my property, forcing me to hire someone else to remove it. The disdain for responsibility extends to warranty issues as well. The tile and stone work on my pool, which initially held promises of intricate detailing, were executed with a lackluster finish. To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to suggest I pay their contractor to rectify their own incomplete work. Despite finally gaining access to the pool, I've begun noticing numerous imperfections in the stone work. With their refusal to fulfill their obligations, I'm left questioning whether it's even worth pursuing corrections. Even the upgraded plaster I paid for is marred with warranty issues, reported to Blue Haven last year, yet I'm still waiting for them to acknowledge a corrective action plan. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Blue Haven pools at all costs. 4/15/2024 I did contact Blue Haven and expressed my concerns; however, and again, I have not heard back from anyone on the remediation of the issues already mentioned.

Working with Blue Haven has been a real pleasure. The field crew is exceptional led by Nate Krolikowski. The professional manner in which they approach the work is second and none. The office staff is very responsive led by Jamie McDowell and Rob Frye is a pleasure to work with making it very easy to use all of the services that Blue Haven Pools provide . I recommend them highly.

Blue Haven Pools does a great job! The weekly service has been reliable and very professional. I feel like my pool is in great hands!
