Our Blue Haven pool construction experience was overall a success and we love the gunite pool, deck and enclosure. The design process with Justin was amazing as he was able to show us various options of our basic idea. Jordan Englert was our superintendent and he kept us updated on each stage of the construction. Jordan was responsive on any questions or issues that came up during the construction process. We were pleased with the subcontractors used as their work was great. They all were polite and respectful of our property. Other than a few delays with weather or resource availability the project moved along smoothly and generally on schedule. The pool application for our phones is great and being able to control schedules and settings remotely is a plus. We would recommend Blue Haven to anyone wanting a pool installed on their property.

We had an outstanding experience building our pool with Blue Haven Pools. From our very first meeting, the entire team was knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. Jeff Nodine, our project manager, and Jason Dyer both went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They kept us informed at every stage of the process, answered all of our questions promptly, and were always available when we needed them. What really impressed us was how streamlined and efficient the whole build was. From dig day to pool start-up, the entire project was completed in just 5 weeks—which is incredibly fast compared to the timelines we’d heard from others. Every crew that came out was professional, respectful of our property, and clearly took pride in their work. The final product turned out exactly how we imagined it. The design was spot on, the finishes are beautiful, and everything functions perfectly. It was completed just in time for pool season, and we’ve already been enjoying it with family and friends. Overall, our experience was amazing! Jordan Englert, our project manager did an outstanding job!!! There were a few moments, out of his control that were a bit frustrating, but overall a great experience!! To this point, we are happy with the communication, quality, value and craftsmanship. DERRICK has been fabulous and very conscientious of making sure the job is done on time and correct. Working with Derrick was a wonderful experience. I also looked at several other pool companies and BLUE HAVEN''S follow through and commitment to 100% satisfaction separates them from the competition tremendously. Great job by the team.!

**Updated Updated Review** Well, here's a lesson learned. Never let them talk you out of your initial impression; it's almost always the right one. Not long after I wrote my last update, Blue Haven promised to resolve the outstanding issues (including fixing the valves to align with what our contract stated). They promised someone would be coming out to fix the configuration, but after a month, no one showed. Then, I was ghosted by the PM entirely. Wanting to wash my hands of this company once and for all, I let it go (I shouldn't have). But now, two years later, our equipment is failing. And getting support is like pulling teeth. Not showing up at agreed-upon times and attempting half measures instead of replacing defective parts are just some of the ways Blue Haven can ruin an otherwise decent day. And don't get me started on the lack of communication. So, that's the story. Never update your original review because you will regret it. I won't ever make that mistake again. **Updated Review** Updating this review based on an in-depth conversation with BH. Instead of dismissing us as impossible-to-satisfy customers, BH took the time to meet with us, talk through our issues, and assure us that they're working to improve. They didn't make excuses; they listened. We have even been told that our build (and the mistakes made) are being used as a training tool for future customers. The fact that they're willing to learn from their mistakes speaks volumes. While they can't go back and change our experience, their willingness to improve is noteworthy. Thanks to Amber for having the guts to meet us in person and hear us out, and to Travis for following through. It mattered! **Original Review** Four stars for the pool, ZERO for project management Signed a contract on 5 October 2022 for a $125,150 pool. Permits approved on 9 November. Finally given a dig date of 1 December. All progressed quickly until gunite. Gunite sprayed on 9 December, followed by nearly one month of NOTHING. When we scheduled our dig date, were not told that BH closes for two weeks (although, for us, it was closer to three) over the holidays. If we had known, we'd have delayed our excavation until January. We had zero progress from 12 December 2022 through 7 January 2023, with no real explanation (other than the "holidays"). It wasn't until we sent a message on 4 January 2023 asking when work would begin again that anything happened. What followed was a frustrating two and a half months of starts and stops. We had plaster delayed three times due to poor project management, tile install errors, and an incorrectly installed LED light on the tanning ledge. After plaster was completed and the pool was full, we received no communication on when the pool startup would happen until we sent another message (six days after the pool was full). We are now three weeks after startup, and we still haven't been told when our "pool school" will be scheduled. In fact, we haven't heard a peep from BH since startup. In the end, we have a beautiful pool that we absolutely love. But if we'd had any idea we'd have to be so "hands-on" with the project management, we would have gone with the other company we were considering. Project management could have easily mitigated our concerns by communicating with us, but instead, we had to ASK what was (or in our case, wasn't) happening every step of the way. Also, there was a strong disconnect between what the salesperson told us during consultation and what BH actually delivers. If it's not "in the contract," BH isn't doing it. So check that contract closely before signing!

The whole experience was great. From the first meeting with 3 separate designs and ideas, to the whole construction process, we were always being informed of what was going on and when. This is our second gunite pool build, and Blue Haven was above and beyond our first pool company, and it was also completed 2 months quicker! Jordan Englert, who was in charge of our project, was always out at the site inspecting the work and making sure things were done on time and correctly, and then posting tons of stage completion pictures in the construction app. The pool app is great as well, and all the equipment is very good. We like being able to control everything from our phones as well. Definitely recommend Blue Haven to anyone looking for a pool.

I’m modifying my review since we are having ongoing issues with the quality of work they provided. Blue Haven pools does sub par work and doesn’t stand behind their product. They deflect the blame for warranty issues on the customer. Our pool has issues with a shoddy plaster job from a clown crew from Brazil that left us with a plaster job full of trowel marks, blotchiness and uneven coloration throughout. They tried to blame our pool chemistry (which has been meticulously maintained by a certified and reputable pool care company) which is not the case because it looked exactly the same DAY 1. We were told to give it a few months and it would go away, which it did not. They will not stand behind the warranty and told us it’s up to us to fix the issues. Furthermore the foreman Jeff was extremely rude to my wife on day one of our project when my wife nicely asked him to tell his crew not to carelessly run over our garden bed (nowhere near the actual construction). Jeff also cost us $1000 in damage to our irrigation when we clearly told his crew not to stack debris with nails facing down directly over our marked sprinklers. Furthermore 2 random Blue Haven employees saw photos of our pool (not knowing it was a Blue Haven pool) and both commented how terrible the plaster job was. RUN FAR AWAY from Blue Haven. I don’t expect this from a $100,000+ job.

This is obviously not what we like to see, but please know from the discussions we have had that when the pool was turned over as the original 5 star stated it was beautiful and was in perfect condition. In no way shape or form do I want this to be confrontational and we would be more than happy to help get it back to that condition. We have been in contact with your partner and we have requested that you please send chemical records to us so we can review and help determine the best way to resolve. I will also note that the company taking care of your pool is an ex employee of a service company we used to work with and should know this is required to help resolve plaster issues and should easily have that information available so we can review with you and him Ken, we're happy to hear how your project manager, Travis, did a great job communicating with you and working with subcontractors to ensure you get the pool that you wanted. Installing a new pool is challenging in many areas. When we started this project we interviewed multiple companies. We selected Blue Have as our Representative Justin did an incredible job of educating, sharing options and most important listened to what we wanted. During the entire process the Blue Haven team was responsive, on time, accurate, zero surprises and did a good job keeping the area as clean as possible. Our Project Manager Jason was always available, responsive and worked to make sure we always knew what was going on.Our pool was completed to our satisfaction (which is difficult), and would highly recommend Blue Haven.

Justin was our designer. Everything about the process was so easy and smooth. Justin worked with us through making sure we had all the shapes and details we wanted. Jordan is our project manager and he’s been great with communication. He’s always friendly, professional and patient with questions. I can’t leave a complete review due to issues we have with our finished plaster and some other concerns. We’ve filed a claim to have these issues corrected so I’m hoping when we have a resolution I can change to 5 stars.

Jordan Englert our project manager was great help through it all he answered all our questions and always called or texted back very promptly. They were on time and actually finished a few weeks early. The crews were very respectful of our property and kept area clean at all times. They recommended Emerald Coast Lawn service for our landscaping and they were absolutely wonderful. The pool and landscaping turned out better than I could have expected!! Heard great things about Blue Haven so when we decided to renovate a 40 year 36000 gallon pool they were my first call. Renos are not common for pool builders but BH cleared every hurdle they encountered and were always accommodating to our needs. Jeff Nodine did a great job managing the project and all the craftsmen involved were diligent and committed to providing their best work. The pool is amazing and the new salt water system and led lighting create an oasis we've needed for a long time. When my wife got in the pool the first time she was so impressed that she commented it was our Best Investment Ever!

We LOVE our Blue Haven pool! It was just completed a week ago and we couldn’t be happier! Justin designed exactly what we wanted! We met with Kim to pick out the colors and materials. There were so many options to choose from. We explained what style we were looking for and she nailed it! Jeff and Jordan came out on layout day and explained to us what to expect through the process. Jordan was great! He kept us informed every step of the way! Everyone was kind, professional! They did an awesome job and we can’t wait to make memories in our new Blue Haven pool! We HIGHLY recommend Blue Haven pools!!!

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Blue Haven Pool Company has been so frustrating and disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. Daryl Wilson and Josh Hopkinson should be ashamed that their team is trained to deflect responsibility rather than stand behind their work. This kind of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a company that markets itself as a leader in pool construction. The plaster work on my pool was subpar from the start. After the acid wash and initial fill, I noticed issues with the surface that have remained unchanged. Despite providing clear photo evidence of the pool’s condition immediately after the acid wash and before filling, Blue Haven has refused to take responsibility. Instead, they’ve chosen to blame my pool maintenance company for what they claim was an improperly executed 28-day startup process. Let me be clear: the 28-day startup is a critical part of the plaster curing process and should be the responsibility of the contractor—not the customer. Blue Haven has not been able to confirm whether they tested the source water before filling the pool, which is a basic and essential step. Their refusal to acknowledge this oversight is deeply concerning. Their explanation—that the plaster issues are due to scale buildup from the startup process—feels like a default excuse they use to deflect any warranty-related claims. Based on my own observations and the condition of the plaster, I strongly disagree with their assessment. It’s clear to me that the problem lies in the original workmanship, not in the maintenance. If you’re considering Blue Haven for your pool project, I urge you to think twice. There are plenty of other companies that take pride in their work and treat their customers with respect. I regret choosing Blue Haven and hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake.

Our Warranty Manager has been in contact with you via email and has requested that you have your company taking care of your pool please send their findings with what they have found on company letterhead and certifications NPC or FPSA. The advisory folder that was given to you along with your 28 day checklist informs you of what the acceptable water chemistry levels are and it was signed off that you understood this at pool school. According to your chemical records that you provided the salt should have been added no later than 1/17/25 and was not added until 2/4/25. We understand that this can be very frustrating and apologize, but not getting to the source of the issue will only cause the problem to continue. Please contact our warranty manager or our Regional Manager, Darryl Wilson, so we can address these issues.

This review is for a mid-build rating. I'm giving 5 stars for the outstanding service, speed, and quality received so far. Our dig date was 5/21 and the crew had the site dug and framed in less than 4 days. I've had multiple compliments from family members and other contractors stating how awesome everything looks. Huge shoutout to Derek (Project Manager) and Kyle for their communication and tips. The finance team and showroom team have been super easy to work with as well. Assuming the final product comes together as nicely as the mid-build product, I have no concerns at all and am looking forward to many amazing swims in our new backyard with family and friends.

If I could give "zero stars" I would. First off, this was a renovation, not a new install. I used Blue Haven 12 years ago when I had the pool built, and I wanted to stay loyal to the company since it was their original work (I wouldn't make that choice again!). 12 years ago, I had an established yard, i.e. grass and sprinkler lines, and there were zero issues. Fast forward twelve years, and the company is NO LONGER reliable as they have changed ownership. They only care about getting paid, and have zero disregard for what happens to the customer along the way! As I mentioned, this was a reno, and while the finished resurfacing looks great, the process getting there was AWFUL! Lets start with an almost total lack of communication from Blue Haven. About only time I was contacted was when there was a portion of the contract bill due. While they told me all communication would go through Buildertrend, that was very limited (in fact when I login it still shows a total balance remaining although the final portion of the bill was paid almost three weeks ago!) During the plaster work, a line ruptured, the plaster crew immediately addressed the majority of plaster that had been blown onto not only my house, but the neighbors home and cars as well. However, upon finishing the job and doing a walk around my property revealed SO many more problems. There was and still is plaster in my yard (and the neighbors). There is still plaster on the neighbors roof. I found several piles of discarded plaster in my yard and to top it off, they even somehow managed to plaster a portion of my grass near the pool that now sounds like a concrete floor (new sod will have to be put in there) A couple of glaring points to keep in mind if you choose to use this company. - Lack of communication (both to you the customer and internally). - Zero acceptance of mistakes or issues caused by the sub-contracted plaster company. In fact, every issue noted above was met with a reply of (it was the plaster crews' fault) - If you have that many issues with the sub-contractor, you should probably stop using them, AND/OR you might want to have a rep from Blue Haven on site to quality control their work! Bottom line, I still have these issues and others to deal with (apparently on my own) but this review will not be the only course of action. I fully intend to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and hopefully these types of things will not happen to a future customer who pays $20k or more. UPDATE: Finally got someone to come out and remove the dewatering pipe and the latest excuse given about why previous issues have not been addressed...get this..."The General Manager is sick" Update part two: I have adjusted this review to reflect that fact that although the time required to properly address the issues noted above took longer than anyone would like, Darryl did follow up on his promise to make things right. Hopefully this was a very isolated incident and future customers will not be affected.

Our new Blue Haven pool turned out so beautiful! Just waiting for the plaster to finish curing and can’t wait to get in. Everyone we worked with on this project, from design to dig to build and pool school was professional and so helpful, and the entire process was seamless and fast. There are a lot of opinions out there but we did our homework before deciding to have Blue Haven build our pool, and we’re very happy with our decision so far. Special shoutout to Justin, Travis, Jeff, Jason, Kim, Ryan, and Zamir for your patience and help with all of my questions and helping us have such a beautiful pool. Jason even went above and beyond to brush the pool for us while we were out of town, he’s definitely an asset to the company and cares about his customers.

We purchased our pool through Blue Haven in Gulf Breeze in the spring of 2022. Since then, we’ve experienced recurring issues with sinking pavers in the same location. Unfortunately, Blue Haven is now refusing to perform further repairs, citing an expired warranty—even though the issue has never been fully resolved and continues to reoccur in the exact same spot. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with a company that seems to have performed substandard work, provided only temporary fixes until the warranty expired, and is now denying responsibility for the original installation issue. Rather than taking accountability, they’ve suggested/recommended we hire another company—at our own cost—to resolve a problem they created. I’ve spoken with multiple professional paver companies, all of whom have indicated that the problem stems from improper installation rather than natural settlement. On the day of the installation, I provided lunch for the crew as a courtesy as I did on all previous days they were out. During their work, they began using mechanical equipment—likely a plate compactor or screeding machine—to level the sand base. However, when the machine stopped working, they did not repair or replace it. Instead, they resorted to a basic manual tool with a flat, square bottom to smooth the sand. According to professional standards, the proper course of action would have been to restore or replace the compactor to ensure the base was properly prepared before laying the pavers. Since the installation, Blue Haven has sent crews out twice to address the sinking. Both times, they simply lifted the affected pavers and added more sand underneath—without compacting the base. I have backyard video footage that documents this entire process. This is clearly an installation error, not a settlement issue. Had the sand base been correctly compacted and leveled at the start, this kind of sinking would not have occurred. For further context, I also have a firepit installed nearby, which has experienced no issues—reinforcing the conclusion that the problem lies specifically with the poolside installation. The pavers are so bad, it poses a safety hazard. I would suggest finding a pool company who takes pride in their work.

After reviewing your claim and our records, we confirmed that your pool was completed in 2021 and was covered by a one-year limited warranty, which expired in 2022. As outlined in our warranty agreement, coverage does not extend beyond the one-year period, and settling of the pool deck or soil-related movement is not covered under the terms due to the natural variability of site conditions over time.
