I paid Blue Haven Pools in Hatfield, PA $138,000.00 to date and my pool is NOT finished. They took my dirt away even though I told John Calvitti, Jr., Bill and Kevin who are employees not to remove it but they promised to replace which they haven’t since Dec. 2025. Trenches were left open from 12/25 to 4/26 until I complained about lawn service starting. The company then sent me an email requesting the final payment BEFORE pool completion or me being reimbursed for pool tile and coping I paid for due to limited selections they offered. Now as of 5/19/26 my calls and texts are being answered. I now have to contact a lawyer so beware. I thought they were a solid three generation company who were honest and honorable in their business dealings.

Do not use this company. Our permit was denied and we had to cancel the contract. We are still waiting for the remainder of our deposit to be returned to us. The paperwork was completed months ago and still no refund. And worse, no one will respond to our many inquiries.

My husband called this company to get a quote, and a salesperson named Garrett came out. He probably spent close to 2 hours at my house and answered all of my husband's questions, unlike some of the other pool companies, who spent 30 to 45 minutes out. I came home, and my husband was like, "We are getting a pool, and we are going with this company." (Mind you, my husband was not sure about getting a pool) So we set up another appointment for me to meet with Garrett and ask my questions, and Garrett had no problem with that. He came out another two times, and we talked about the process. My husband has a skid steer that he can use to move dirt, and he spoke to Garrett about it. Garrett went back to his team, and they said he could transport the dirt after they dug up the pool. And they wouldn't have to charge us for moving the dirt off the property. I thought that was pretty cool. Garrett is upfront and honest with us throughout the whole process. There are no hidden fees or surprises. Even the financial portion was easy, and Nancy works with you and answers any questions you may have about it! So thanks to the Blue Haven pool and spas team, my family will be getting a pool!!!

We had a great experience from start to finish of our pool & spa with water features. All of our questions were answered promptly. From excavating to rebar, gunite, plaster to tile & coping & decking. Our backyard is transformed to a beautiful "STAY" cation. The knowledge of everyone involved & Dominic at Blue Haven made the process the easiest 1 ever. We highly recommend Blue Haven Pools by Calvitti.

Extremely Disappointing Experience Our experience with Blue Haven Pools has been nothing short of frustrating. We paid in full for work that still hasn’t been completed, and despite multiple attempts—including through our attorney—they’ve failed to respond or take responsibility. Communication has been poor, timelines were repeatedly missed, and there’s been little to no accountability throughout the process. No one has shown up in 2 months and attempted to resolve our open issues. Our entire bank yard has been left in a shambles and is unusable. We expected professionalism and reliability but have experienced the opposite. Proceed with extreme caution and make sure every detail is in writing before signing anything.

They handle every detail and do a beautiful job. When it comes to putting a pool in, you want to make sure that you are going with a company that you can trust. The design team took our ideas and turned them into something even better than we imagined the perfect blend of fun and relaxation. The slide has been a huge hit with our family, and the pool’s color and finish are absolutely beautiful. Every detail was handled with care, and the crew was professional, friendly, and kept us updated throughout the process. The end result is a stunning backyard oasis that feels like a private resort. Anthony Calvitti and Blue Haven Pools did a terrific job of rebuilding my pool after my previous renovation lasted only 15 years. They had to take the pool down to the original concrete and rebuild every part of it. At each step, they were professional, communicated well, and on time with their schedule of work and estimates. We are very pleased with the finished result and highly recommend them for anyone needing a new or rebuilt swimming pool.

My family and I met with several pool contractors before deciding to move forward with Blue Haven Pools & Spas, and we are sure glad we did! Working with Anthony Calvitti and his team from Blue Haven made the entire process understandable and manageable as we navigated our pool build. This was our first pool build, and we were uncertain of what building a pool entailed, but Anthony and the team from Blue Haven worked closely with us, explaining each step and providing a timeline so we knew what to expect and what was happening next. The design and the completed pool are better than we could have imagined! If you want your pool built right, with a team that will be there with you, explaining every step along the way, then we highly recommend Blue Haven Pools & Spa!

Only time they were responsive and communicative was in the beginning to get the deposit after that could never get a return phone call could never get them to address issues with the pool. Still trying to have things addressed two years later with no response. Stay away from this company.

BEWARE!!!!!! DO not hire Blue Haven. They Did a horrible job Building my pool. All of the work is subcontracted out and there is no project manager or site supervisor. Basically you will have to supervise your own pool build. I had multiple problems with the work done and had to reach out to Blue Haven as their subs just want to get the work done ASAP and don't care about the quality of the job. Multiple issues with my pool. They also front load the job with large payments so they are financially ahead of you during the build so if there are any issues you have no recourse. Had multiple issues with the pool including poor plaster job, rear wall falling apart Hayworth system installed didn't work properly, fire feature never worked, sleeves for pool table too close to side of pool and unusable, waterfall led lights don't work properly. Paid for in pool table never received. Try calling them after pool is installed and they have all your money. They will make every excuse not to fix and blame you for their incompetence. Spoke with the owner multiple times and he is not interested in resolving any issues, his only concern is getting paid. I had to spend thousands of dollars to have other companies remove these issues.See other reviews on Angie's list and yelp.I am sure most of the positive reviews were solicited by Blue Haven to cover up the poor work they do. With this review, I would like to be as detailed as possible because this process with Blue Haven was one of the best project experiences I have had! Every single person i encountered was amazing.I will start with Mike Hunt our original Sales rep. He explained everything to a T about what the process would look like and the timeline in which everything would be completed. He even helped with the design process and was a available for any additional questions I had throughout the project! When it came to getting everything permitted through the county, Kathy by far has the best customer service. She communicated with me often and very quickly. She also made us digital CAD images in our yard so we could get a true feel of what the pool would look like. She was on top of everything and went above and beyond for us!She ultimately got everything started off smoothly. After that, We were in touch with our Project Coordinator Kevin. When I say he was on top of EVERYTHING, he is truly a professional! He not only organized every aspect of construction, but he also communicated everything extremely prompt and any concerns we had were immediately handled.(which weren’t many at all but he took even small inquiries serious) which I appreciate. On top of this amazing team, all of the construction crew was early everyday and the were so clean and tidy with construction, even my neighbor commented on how neat they were! I would for sure, recommend Blue Haven to anyone looking to build an inground pool in the Delaware area. For such a huge project, this was way less stressful than I anticipated. (Thanks to them)I would like to say Thank you to everyone involved and a huge Bravo to Blue Haven for their amazing support team! I am forever grateful and so excited for what you all have help create!
