If I could I would rate this company a negative 5 stars. They charged $4784. 43 for a three block move which took 8 days to complete The operations manger assured us we would not be charged for the subsequent moving charges yet we were. When I called Cody and their customer service they refused to give me any compensation. If you're considering using Black Tie moving beware they are liars use suspect business practices.

Hi Bob, unfortunately there were many complications with your move, including two days of our team showing up and no one on your side answering the phone to let our team in. There was also a lot of rescheduling that had to be done because of this, etc. Our team tried their best to work with you on this move but unfortunately certain things were out of our control. We have already talked to you extensively about this and are sorry you did not like the outcome. Thank you

Movers were inexperienced, had poor time management. Movers broke several items, disappeared for 1.5 hours with no explanation. We tried to resolve issues with management after the fact provided photos and everything that was asked and never heard back.

Absolutely phenomenal moving experience. The movers were so kind, so professional, courteous, and efficient in making sure we got everything moved from one location to another. They frequently checked in with us to see what needed to go or stay, and were overall incredibly pleasant to work with. Big shout out to Andrew of the Denver office who helped keep things moving, who took care of not only our stuff, but also his crew. Black Tie Moving is highly recommended if you need movers, thank you so much for making something that is normally such a stressful event smooth and easy!

I didn’t know how else to contact this company I was in a neighborhood doing some yard work and saw this situation unfolding. This company was moving a gentleman and from the very beginning he was giving them a hard time. But the professionalism of this company amazed me especially one individual the man they were moving was nasty and foul and speaking to them with every curse word he could find and I was watching this girl just take it and take it eventually I went over to ask if she was okay and found out her name was Octavia she said she was fine just trying to get her job done even though she was not feeling well. If that wasn’t enough he continued to call her vulgarities and then called the police and I watched him tip someone who came later to finish the job and she still kept her cool.her response to that man’s behavior should make that company proud because not many people would have taken that for the job. She was calm polite and professional. I took her some water and ice it was all I have to offer. But she was extremely sweet and kind. Her boss just need to know what kind of worker they have she definitely deserves a higher position if she isn’t already in one because she was exceptional that day and deserves to be seen.

Dj Ron and Adam were WONDERFUL!!! They were friendly and personable. Made my move enjoyable overall. Only feedback I have is I was not expecting to pay that much for a local move. I recommend providing that information upfront as I would have financially planned better.

We used Black Tie Moving for our local move this week and were lucky enough to have James, Adam and Octavia on our team. The move was seamless; they were diligent, thoughtful and pleasant to work with during a difficult move from a 3 story house. We can highly recommend using their services.

Very disappointed. They broke my $3,000 bed and only reimbursed me $400 because they hid behind the standard .60 per pound language in the contract. The driver was very nice and professional but the 2 people they brought were teenagers. One of them spent the whole time on his cell phone. They left items behind that I had to throw away. Fortunately I was reimbursed for those items by the company. At the drop off point they use day laborers that they pick up. The day laborers never showed at the drop off point. After 4 hours of waiting finally 2 guys showed up to help the driver. They hung around for 4 hours and then left. The final weight charge was 2,000 pounds more than what was estimated. The estimate was done through a virtual tour. This was after the driver had told me that “the office over estimated the weight.” The claim process was professional and processed quickly. They responded to emails quickly and did what they promised. I never received the 5 star concierge service that they claim to provide. Overall very disappointing. They are expensive but have an excellent reputation. They definitely did not live up to their reputation. Take a pass on them and find another company. Edit (12/4/21): I see the owner responded to everyone else but not to me. Just another sign of terrible service. The non response also shows that what I wrote is true. Edit (6/29/22): Still no response from the company. This shows you the terrible service that they have.

After having some trouble with another moving company in town Black Tie saved the day. They were able to get us booked with less than 24 hours notice. James and Denarius got the job done quickly and made everything super easy and stress free for us!

Black Tie Moving ended up damaging almost every piece of furniture that we had moved. Movers sat on the back of the truck for extended periods of time while we moved everything down to the truck just to try and keep things moving as we were being charged hourly. One of the movers seemed to be training the other so he spent a majority of his time just giving instructions and not actually moving. They refused to carry anything so everything was moved just dragging a dolly down the stairs and caused damage to not only the items moved but left marks down the entire stairwell. They didn't use a single furniture pad. Everything fell over in the truck causing further damage and destroying at least one piece of furniture. Cannot currently get a response from the company about damages. Denver has other reputable movers - do not use these people.

Ron has been so good on three separate days for me. My experience with Black Tie is completely based on his hard work and the way he manages whatever team he has working for him. I would ask for him by name. His teams worked so hard and stayed focused. They got most thing moved safely with only a few minor things that broke because I didn't pack them well. The company as a whole does a great job of taking care of things from start to finish. Good communication at every step in the process. The check in regularly and bring the "red carpet" to protect your home. They made my move so easy. Now if only they could unpack everything for me. Ha!

Absolutely worst moving experience of my life. Should use anyone other than these people. Damaged my furniture, said they were going to send me a check for the damages, never happened. Truck showed up an hour late, then died and had to bring another truck to jump that one. It was a circus. I've tried numerous times to contact these people and they don't answer phones or call you back or do what they say they're gonna do. Use anyone other than these guys. Would you pleas email me a receipt of the reimbursement you provided. Thank you.

We had a fantastic moving experience with Black Tie Moving. They were efficient, careful, professional, and were excellent at packing and wrapping our furniture and household items. They took extra time and effort on delicate and breakable items. When we arrived at our new location, they were equally professional at unloading, unwrapping, and reassembling particularly the bedroom furniture. The staff as very personable and proficient. Not only would we highly recommend Black Tie Moving to anyone getting ready to move but we would never think of using any other service than Black Tie Moving Denver.

We just moved, and used Black Tie’s services. Our crew of James, Steve, Danarius, and Emma were beyond fantastic. Everybody was professional, extremely courteous, and worked hard. My family has loved several times over the past 5 years, and Black Tie easily made this most recent move the best one yet. I can’t fathom moving again, but when the time comes, we’ll use BT.
