This builder took my $5000 signing payment as a general contractor for a self build company the owners also owned. After shutting down the self build office they kept my money then argued very rudely over the phone. Constantly interrupting and not letting me get a word in. Terrible experience, no home built.

In 2022, we entered into an agreement to serve as the General Contractor for your project, as self-builds are not permitted in your community. The engagement fee, including your $5000 signing payment, was outlined as nonrefundable in the agreement. Furthermore, it was explicitly stated that should you choose to contract with another builder, our services would no longer be available.
We understand that this may not have been the outcome you anticipated, and we regret any miscommunication or perceived rudeness during our conversation. Our intent was to ensure clarity and adherence to the terms outlined in the agreement.
