$53 for small piece of tongue. Other orders didn’t come with it and I had to cancel—no apology, nothing. Never experienced anything like this in my 12 years living in NYC.
Hi John, thank you for your visit and your feedback. Please reach out to us at info@barmoga.com with more information about your visit so we can look into what happened.
Hi Sarah, thank you for visiting us for a weekend lunch. I am glad you enjoyed the food, but I sincerely apologize for the long wait for your omu rice. We were unfortunately short staffed that day, which is not our usual standard for weekend service. We are actively working to ensure we have proper coverage moving forward.

Honest thoughts on Bar Moga:
1. The omelet rice presentation is really cute, felt like a little surprise moment.
2. Overall, most dishes were a bit under-seasoned.
3. It’s pricier than Google suggests, ended up around $75 per person (including 2 drinks).
4. Spicy sauce is available for an extra cost (tasty though).
We posted a video on our Ins @bloodybigmouth
and still think it’s worth checking out if you like omu rice!
Thank you for the detailed feedback! We are so glad you enjoyed the our omurice presentation. We appreciate your notes on the seasoning and pricing. We aim for a high quality experience, and your comments help our culinary team continue to refine our menu.
We will be sure to check out your video on Instagram and hope to welcome you back soon!
Hi ku ku, thank you for the feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the decor but regret that the omurice and pork sandwich did not meet your expectations. We will review your comments on the food with our kitchen team. Regarding the volume of the music, please note that we only host live jazz on Monday nights and Saturday mornings. We hope you might visit us again during our regular hours for a quieter dining experience.

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon because I heard live jazz from outside. They do live music on Saturdays for brunch and Monday as well. Shin (?) took care of me at the bar and I had an excellent experience. I'm definitely coming back with a bigger appetite.
Hi Benjamin, thank you so much for the review! We're so glad our Saturday jazz caught your ear and drew you in. I'll be sure to pass your kind words along to Shin. We can't wait to welcome you back when you're ready to explore more of the menu.

This place was beautiful , we came in for drinks and there was a corporate event so we were seated and the least pleasant part of the experience was very pushy wait staff. The bartenders were experienced and the drinks were good- i really recommended the Bee Bop with browned butter and a caramel cookie! Every SINGLE table had ordered the omu rice- it was like something out of the twilight zone. I wondered if it had gone viral for that dish? I mean EVERY table.
Hi Katie, thank you for the feedback! We’re thrilled the drinks and atmosphere hit the mark. I sincerely apologize that the service felt pushy; we were balancing a corporate event, but that’s no excuse for a rushed experience. We’ll share this with our floor team to improve. We’d love to welcome you back for a better visit soon!

I called this restaurant 16 times during its business hours, and no one picked up. If you want to run a decent business at least train your staff to pick up customers’ calls.
Hi Wilson, thanks for the feedback. I sincerely apologize for the missed calls. Saturday nights can be incredibly busy for us during service, and it is sometimes difficult for the team to get to the phone in time. I'm glad we were able to connect via email shortly after to resolve your inquiry.

Unfortunately, I left feeling very disappointed. The portions are extremely small and overpriced for what is offered. While the ambience is nice, the food does not live up to it.
We ordered the omurice, which was just okay. Nothing special at all, and the portion was very small. The duck roast was the same. For an authentic restaurant, you can absolutely find better quality and better prices elsewhere. This honestly felt like a loss.
The drinks were fine, but they use giant ice cubes, which immediately makes you feel shortchanged. I asked for a maraschino cherry and was charged for it, only to receive a basic red sundae-style cherry. They charged me a dollar for a single cherry, not even two.
Overall, this felt like a cheap version of overcharging. I was very disappointed. It did not feel like real hospitality.
Hi Laura, thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. I am sincerely sorry we missed the mark during your visit. Your feedback regarding the portion sizes and the charge for the cherry is very helpful, this is not the level of hospitality we aim for. I will be reviewing these details with our management team immediately to ensure better communication and value for our guests.

Sad to say the omu rice wasn’t good :( I got nauseous and sick after.
