Rafting in Iceland The canyon and views were beautiful. The guides were very nice and took photos for us because we didn’t have waterproof cases.

Great Trip with Rabi We did this river rafting as a group trip from our expedition ship. Very well organized and staff were all great. Especially Rabi who led our raft and it was a blast. Many did the cliff dive, it wasn't that high but still impressive into the rapid water. Would recommend you try it and if you're lucky, you'll get Rabi as your raft guide.

Best thing to do in Iceland We did the Extreme River Rafting and I gotta say it´s the best activity I've done in Iceland. Adrenaline filled and unique. 100% recommend. Our guide, Arun made sure we were safe at all times, but also provided us with great fun.

Professional and safe A fantastic experience! So much fun and the view and the landskape around the river were breathtaking. I felt really safe and secure with our guide Rabi, a professional Nepaleese River Guide, and trusted him with my family on the husky river.

Amazing rafting tour! It was my first rafting tour ever, but they explained everything very clearly and made me feel that I was in good hands. Also, I really liked the fact that there were three extra people in kayaks who were able to help people that fell into the water. One boat flipped over and they really did a great job in getting everyone safe and well out of the water. Special shout out to the guide of our own boat, Rabi, who is without a doubt a very seasoned guide. All guides were true professionals and (!) had a positive vibe and attitude. Thanks guys, this was one of my highlights of my time in Iceland!

One of My Top Experiences in Iceland! After several trips to Iceland, I thought we'd already done all the best activities, but we had not yet gone rafting with Bakkaflot!! At 60, there was some concern over how wild of a ride it would be, but seeing as it was a FAMILY designated trip, we decided to give it a go. So glad we did!! The Nepalese guides were very careful to give us safety instructions and provided us with all the gear we needed to stay warm in the glacial river. There were some fun rapids to go through, but also some lovely spots where you could glide and enjoy the canyon around the raft. Enjoyed the hot chocolate at the hot spring and watching other members of the party take a dive into the river-that was more than we were ready to try! Can't recommend this outing enough; we'll be doing it again next visit if at all possible!

Great family trip! We had a great experience! Rabi was such a great guide! When you get there you get outfitted with everything you need to stay warm and safe: wetsuit, wetsuit jacket, spray jacket, booties, gloves, and helmet. It’s a short drive to where the rafts are put in the water and then the fun begins. The trip was the perfect level of thrill for our family (kids 12 and 14). We loved the hot chocolate 1/2 way through! Highly recommend this trip! It was safe and professional from start to finish .

Excellent family activity through superbe canyon Wonderful ride down this river with some exciting rapids. Also this is a beautiful canyon to go down with some of the rocks changing colour. Excellent guides. Activity well worth doing with the family!

Nice scenery along the River We went to this Water Rafting via our Silversea excursion. We have a total of 27 people so we were divided into 5 groups into 5 different rafts. The journey from the port of call was a little far (90 mins) and there was another 25 mins by another transport to the river bank. The Bakaflot staff were professional and our guide was Norris from Nepal, very experienced and polite. We had a good time rafting... This is a family /beginner fun, not too strenuous and the rapids grade is 3. We had hot chocolate by the river and also for the daredevils, you will have a chance to jump from the cliff about 2 storey high. After the rafting, we soaked in a hot tub, shower then we were served with some hot soup with bread. It was yummy. Overall, it was a nice experience to raft in Iceland apart from the lengthy travelling journey. Highly recommended.

Great first river rafting experience Amazing guides and a hospitable environment for a crazy ride. We went down the east river and were nicely directed in keeping afloat. The work in setting up was done quickly, and the warm soup plus baths at the end were satisfying after a long workout.

A great adrenaline experience in Iceland The East Glacial River is full of turbulent water so rapids come often. It is a narrow deep gorge most of the way which adds to the excitement. Our crew got us involved paddling for short bursts. Be prepared to get wet in this cold water but they provide good wetsuits. Tip arrive wearing your swim suit( so you are ready for the hot tub at the end, but layered that with thermals top and bottom and a beanie. You do need to be able to hold your breath and be prepared to be thrown out at least once. Our crew was experienced enough to get us all back in the boat safely. Not for the faint hearted but doable. For those who want more action there is a chance to jump off a cliff and a few other things. The hot lamb soup at the end was awesome. A great way to be in the canyon landscape instead of walking above. We had blue skies the whole way which definitely made it visually more stunning and helped keep us warmer.

Eastriver Rafting Tour We went on the Eastriver Rafting Tour and it was a amazing expirience in icelands nature. Good weather, great guides and totally fun.

East River Rafting We did the East River Rafting. It is a unqiue experience in the nature of iceland. The Guides have been awesome. It was Fun falling in the water and beeing rescued by the kayak. 10 out of 10!

Pure adrenaline It was one of the most fun experiences during our stay in Iceland. It’s definitely worth it to challenge yourself and go rafting. Two hours of full adrenaline and teamwork and a delicious soup and warm hot tub afterwards. We will definitely come back!
