I have played your course for the last 10 years. The course was in the best shape I have seen it.
Playing many times as a single I was always match up to play. This has been fine. The pace of play has always been acceptable.
Yesterday I got match up with a 2-some, both good golfers. The foursome in front of us was 2 couples. They were not beginners but they did not play ready golf. They could have had the ladies tee off many times before the men. We thought it was them holding us up. We then saw it was a group in front of them that was the problem. Many times a whole hole open in front of them. When the ranger came by, we asked if we had any option. Maybe move to back and he checked and said no all full as well.
The 2-some behind us walked off the course after 6 holes and the 2-some behind them walked off after 7 hole.
Over 3 hours to play 9 holes after waiting on every hole. I felt like we played 36 holes!
We walked in and got a rain check for 9 holes.

We have been coming to Azalea Sands since 2019.I am so pleased and impressed with the work that has taken place at this course,since our returning to Canada last May..not only is the course much better, but this club has the best staff on the strand in my opinion..everyone we meet welcomes us,asks about our day,anything they can do to make our outing more pleasurable.....I mean everybody with a name tag..
I met the general manager during our round on the 20th of April and found him to be no different then the rest of the staff,very approachable....and I must add....best French fries I've had at any club...Keep up the good work,you are certainly headed in the right direction....cheers y'all
We played at the Azalea Sands golf Club while being on vacation. We were looking for a place near the Barefoot area. We were pleased with our choice. The staff was friendly. The carts are modern and equipped with a gps. We played in April so their was some dried grass area but overall it was a nice golf court. We also like the fact that you can play a 9 hole in late afternoon.

The course was fun to play. You can tell they are really working hard to improve the course. I would play again if in the area. Only thing I was a little disappointed in was the pro shop was closed when we got back. We weren't the last ones on the course. I would have purchased some merchandise if they had been open. The grounds keeping staff was there to get carts but but no one else.
Paid $81.00 on a weekday to play a course with very little grass in the fairways. Bag drop guy and starter were very friendly, wish I could say the same about the staff inside. Play was slow and I had an afternoon appointment so after nine holes went in and asked for a nine hole rain check. Guy behind counter just sat and stared at me.. Then called out who I assume is the director and she didn’t want to do the rain check. I’ve played golf for forty years and have never had a course act like that over a rain check for any reason. Hope they enjoy my money because I or any of my friends will ever be back
