Property owners - Think twice. Since our team began working with Auben for our investment properties it's been a headache. From the lack of communication, accounting errors, poor/lackluster maintenance upgrades, and misc chargers and "just cause management fees" you're better off managing yourself or finding an actual reputable partner. There's always some sort of excuse, finger pointing, and once again very limited communication (takes multiple calls and emails) and time for completion.

Auben Realty just took over the house I have been renting for 2 years. Their new system put me in as the wrong name and I was unable to log in to pay rent. They can be very hard to get a hold of and calling to speak with someone takes atleast 20 minutes. When they fixed my account after the weekend they refused to take off the late fees that had accumulated. I am now looking into moving because I do not trust this company at all. Leaving a bad review is about the extent of my power in this situation. Praying to all of the most vindicative gods right now hoping that Auben Realty may be smited from the earth.

Auben property management here in Kansas City has far exceeded my expectations. Specifically, the maintenance team. Walter is such a kind, patient man who was happy to answer any questions or concerns I had about my property and was quick to help or identify any problems. I would (and have) happily recommend Auben property management to a friend simply because of the caring, community feel of their management and staff. Nothing short of a perfect experience!

I would not recommend renting through this company. Not only does your “Resident Experience Manager” change every couple of months, it’s very hard to get in contact with them. I get the voicemail every time and have to keep calling just to get in touch with someone. When it comes to maintenance issues, they take their time and show no compassion or urgency. I currently have a really bad gas leak & have not been able to stay at home for almost a week now. There has been no form of compensation or anything, just “sorry for the inconvenience” and “we will follow up with you”. They NEVER follow up or say anything unless I call them to check.

These ppl took over my lease this yr and it's been a bad experience already. The first thing was they told me I owed them for 2 months rent that I did not owe and they did not even have my ledger. I couldn't get into my new acct to pay until I emailed the office as an investor. I paid my rent for March due before the 6th paid the 5th and told I owe a late fee when I paid on time. My sink fell through and for a month I've been contacting the office about fixing that and no one has been through or even contacted me about it. I'm using a still STILL sitting inside my cabinet! I got an email though about a balan e I do not owe. I'm not paying them another dime until they fix my sink and get my acct in order. It's ridiculous how they have so much criteria to get into these houses only to be met with slumlords!

This has to be the most incompetent property management company or business in general that I have ever worked with. They never respond to emails and rarely answer the phone. I've emailed Courtney Wilson twice since January 31st to get a copy of the lease for my property and still no response. I finally got Michael on the phone yesterday and it turns out they don't even have a signed lease for my property that is already occupied by the tenant because "the tenant forgot to sign it". I'm sitting here again today trying to reach someone to get a copy of my lease that they promised would be sent yesterday. Any investor needs to rethink working with these people. If I seen a resume with past job history with this company it would immediately go in the trash knowing they are the least effective employees you will ever encounter. If you need property management services in the Augusta area I would highly recommend Augusta Rental Homes, unless you enjoy being constantly lied to and let down by Auben.

Auben is the worst property management company I have ever worked with. When tenants left with a weeks notice ( even with military orders they know more than a week ahead of time), the property management company did not assess the tenant with damages found until I questioned and pushed for tenant accountability. After I fired them, I learned they did not fix the items they said they fixed and charged me for - such as cleaning and repair of the dishwasher. Additionally, the property manager assigned to my property changed 3 times in the span of a few months. I had to reach out to understand the status and escalate to management to understand what was being done to repair the property, advertise and relist the property. Communications with me was non-existent unless I reached out and the property managers were very difficult to reach and would only respond in email. The property was vacant for over 3 months even though the rent was set at the recommended level by the property manager. I would NOT recommend you use this company - it is a hugely frustrating experience and they do manage the property - just collect fees.

I have had the BEST experience ever with Auben Realty. Nikka was a pleasure to work with via findigs chat. She was able to get me approved quickly and kept me inform with each step. Tiara was very professional and personable with me. I truly felt important and cared about during the whole move in process. I have never seen such excellent customer service!!!! We applied for a house, paid Application fee and everything. We even put money down, for them to hold the house for us. Then they lost our applications, then they found it. Now it’s, we don’t make enough money. When we had more than enough. It’s like they don’t want us to get a house.
