This is an update as requested by the owner from my original review below:
After my review, the owner contacted me and tried to make things right - the third time the rug was picked up by the owner. He did take my rug and fixed the problems caused by the cleaning. He mistakenly thought that my unhappiness was caused by the damage, though. I was actually unhappy with the lack of communication…. about how long he would have the rug (we were without it for weeks) and for not informing me that there were problems after the cleaning but instead delivering the damaged rug without disclosing the issues. He did apologize and stated that he was making changes and would improve the company’s communication with its customers. I think they do a much deeper cleaning than Stanley Steemer and some other rug companies. I recommend that you ask lots of questions before you start and request communication if there are delays or problems. There are several five star reviews so they are making many other people happy from the start…just not me.
Initial one star review: My rug was ruined by their cleaning service. They washed my rug (keeping it for three weeks) and then hung it to dry on their line which made it stretch along the edges and put giant folds in it. It was returned it to me like this and I asked them to pick it back up and try to stretch it out to repair the damage that had been done. They picked it up and then kept it another two weeks, returning it with the folds still in it. I will have to buy new rug and I am also out the money that I paid to clean this one. I’ve had this rug cleaned before by another company and never have I had this happen.

I have nothing but good things to say about this company, I was worried I wouldn’t find someone to fabricate a manufacture rug I purchased from West Elm (it was too big for the area i needed it in), but they proved me wrong and got the job done. The turnaround was quick and they are very affordable. I definitely recommend them for rug services

We were recently gifted an area rug which I knew nothing about. After reading reviews I reached out to Atlanta Rug Cleaning & Restoration in search of information. Darius responded within 24 hours and was happy to "educate me" after looking over some photos.

We had an unfortunate accident on our area rag which left it with major water damage. Darious and his team were not only able to clean it but were also able to repair the tassels. It looks like a completely new carpet!
They were also able to deliver it to our condo and place it back in its original location without issues.
We are very happy with the quality of the work, we will definitely be using this service again.

Darius is an artisan, honest and an expert at his craft. He and his crew work extremely hard to deliver excellent service and delivery. I appreciate his timeliness, responsiveness and professionalism. Fair prices and highly recommend. We had red wine stains and stubborn stains in house carpet cleaners were unable to remove. The very best in the city. In business for over 50 years. A family owned business that takes pride in thier services. Mr. Darryl is amazing. My area rug was damaged due to a flood in my home. I thought it was a loss, but it was very expensive and very unique and I didn't won't to part with it. So I took it to Atlanta Rug and now it's like brand new. I'm very happy. Plus he has amazing rugs for sale. All sizes and beautiful colors.
